@LCoastMom...um you def said the right line.."wouldn’t the appropriate action be to forward the mail to the correct LEO if this did happen?" That 2 me is like a DUH. Hum,a child is in danger, lets just mark this and the other 100 emails of the same subject as SPAM. Sounds def corrupt. WTH are they thinking in that place??????
And i find it HILLARIOUS times a million, that hes more concerned about whos running save aaliyah. Thats food for thought right there. Yes lets go arrest those ppl who are running this site to help a child, rather than do our job and SAVE the child. How do you sleep at night Placer County. Please explain how you face your wives and children every night knowing your allowing this to happen to a poor 3 yr old.

I know several people who have sent emails to this Police Dept/Sheriff's Office. None received an email back saying 'sorry not my case' but just out of curiosity wouldn't the appropriate action be to forward the mail to the correct LEO if this did happen?

These same departments (CPS, judicial, PD, SD) were publicly called on the carpet a few years ago, with similar complaints. I can't believe they are getting away with these tactics in today's climate. It sounds like the only thing that is going to work is to tear them down and start over.

The bureaucratic run around on this case within the county is impressive to say the least.

The Sheriff's office does indeed have a seperate jurisdiction, they manage the unincorporated areas around towns and cities. I can see how they might become annoyed with the repeated contacts. This officer's name and contact information was published on the petition website. I would bet the intent was to cause negative law enforcement publicity for this case. Seems to have worked.

I find it odd than a police officer would deny responsibility for protecting a child from sexual abuse. Obviously, he has seen the video. I would expect him to at least state why the sheriff's office would not be involved and why he would redirect to the other police offices.

Throughout this case, I have been struck by the extreme lack of cooperation shown by every agency contacted in the county. Proper procedure is that when a crime is reported, a police report is issued. Even when an incident is not a crime, a police report is issued to record that an officer became involved, his actions, and the outcome. I used to work for a city govt and had a lot of interaction with the police dept. I never received less than exemplary service and courtesy from the front desk, where they field the calls to the station. The ladies always knew exactly how to handle your situation and often offered suggestions. I watched them interact with many of the public. The deflections from the police depts in this case are flabbergasting.

WHO CAN THEY TRUST?

poor Aaliyah, it is so plainly obvious she needs help.
I hope she gets the help she desperately deserves.
