No person or persons have been named Person(s) of Interest or charged with a crime in Haleigh’s disappearance, therefore while law enforcement is conducting it’s continuing investigation information is not being released that would jeopardize the investigation and/or possibly Haleigh’s well being.

Doesn’t this make good common sense? We all want Haleigh recovered and hopefully alive. We all want whoever was responsible for her disappearance thrown in jail. We all want information about law enforcement’s continuing investigation but we are not entitled to it at the present time. Florida laws allow for the release of information to a defense attorney and the public. However, no person has been charged.

Is it only a “rinky dink” southern Sheriff’s office investigating. Heck NO. There is a wealth of knowledge and experience involved in the investigation of Haleigh Cummings’ disappearance. You can bet your bippy that law enforcement knew the same information during week 1 or 2 of their investigation that your hero PI, attorney, and reporter have come up with and put in the media, which could have interferred with law enforcement’s investigation.

The mother’s relatives fill that county,Padgetts,Lauramores and Sheffields extending from Florida to Tennessee and Kentucky,hopefully the Sheriff’s Dept are having them all checked out.I hope the HaleighBug center is being watched all night by police and seeing if any of these people are meeting to drop Haleigh off there.If it was any of them,it would make sense as to why this case went straight to a custody case and the mother was not using all of that tv time to speak to Haleigh or ask for her return.IMO

This case is beyond comprehension for, rationally thinking, law abiding individuals; in my opinion.

I don’t understand a lot of things about this case.

For instance, why did law enforcement request that no one continue searching for Haleigh?

Why have so many criminal charges either been dropped or dismissed, in the area where Haleigh was living?

Why have the “parents” “lawyered up”; and for all intents and purposes “shut up”, if they have nothing to hide?

Why doesn’t Misty want to clear up her time line with law enforcement; why isn’t Ron pushing her to do so?

Lots of questions; not any answers coming from the families or LE…

Where is Haleigh?

I pray that Haleigh is alive and ever who had her returns her. I agree that Ron, Misty and Crystal have clean hands. But wasn’t it Crystal’s lawyer the one who hired Cobra to start with? Is that why we have not been seeing her on TV? I was so glad they finally arrested Drew Peterson, that has been long over due. The Ant’s are going to be on Larry King again, I just emailed the show about it, you all might want to voice you opinions also to try and keep them off the show spouting more lies again.

Exactly, LE is investigating this and if something has not been put into the press that is because LE did not want it in the press. Cobra and Kim are on the same side in this. I think we are going to learn that the reason Cobra has brought all this to light is the same reason the “mother” Crystal Sheffield had Junior point us all in the direction of the man in black. To expose Misty and gain custody of the children. I think it is interesting that Crystal’s cousin was out with Misty the weekend before Haliegh goes missing. Crystal had the children. Then, the day after Haliegh gets home from Crystal’s Haleigh goes missing.
Cobra now admits that Amber and Nay Nay have nothing to do with Haleigh going missing? He sure was indicating they did before. I think someone in Crystal Sheffield’s family took Haliegh Cumming’s to get custody. This would explain why Crystal Sheffield took 7 hours to show up knowing full well that he daughter was missing and LE was on the scene. It would explain why Crystal did not hesitate to take the focus of her missing child. Because her child is somewhere and the entire reason for the child going missing is to get custody. When the public had sympathy for the father. Crystal made sure that she put him in the worst light she could. Her cousin saw this, Her people said that, she had tried all this crap in court three times and she lost. She had called DFS and they had found that her abuse allegations were unfounded. Then Cobra comes to town and gets Crystal a lawyer, Kim Picazio. Why? Could Cobra know or suspect that this is the case? Could all this be about the fact that Crystal or her mom is involved in the kidnapping of Haleigh? What to do now this has turned so huge and someone did not think this through. Win custody in the court of public opinion. If LE really believes that Haleigh Cumming’s is alive. Bio Mom has something to do with this abduction. Would that really be such a big shock? Most kids are taken by the non custodial parent. All the behavior from the mom and her mom is so out of place for the mom of a missing child. Spending so much time putting the focus on the dad and his behavior, the girlfriend and her behavior, drugs, abuse, black man in black, playground injuries that turn into abuse, custody battle,
come on guys. This would make so much sense. Hiring a public relations person to help with the media. Spending so much time telling people not to bad mouth her on the Internet, instead of saying LOOK FOR MY DAUGHTER. Going on Geraldo and not even showing a picture of Haleigh the entire show. Maybe she does not want people looking to hard for her daughter, because she wants to win custody before her daughter can be found. She wants to be sure she has exposed Misty and Cobra is doing exactly that isn’t he? The biggest news he has “uncovered” LE knew from the get go. So, why put it in the media? To help Crystal. I do not hear Cobra saying Crystal is not out looking for her daughter. Ron Cumming’s searched for his daughter every day at the start of this case. He searched with Tim Miller. LE has told Cobra to stop searching or he would be arrested. I wonder why? Yet Cobra says Ron Cumming’s is not out searching? I think the grandma was out searching and Cobra said it was a “set up” and the granny was trying to set Cobra up. Give me a break. Let LE handle it. They have the FBI and the team from the state. They know everything Cobra is learning and they do not have a side that they are on. Cobra and Kim clearly have an agenda.
I hope that if someone in Crystal’s family took Haleigh and it turns out Cobra knew or suspected this, everyone remembers how he has treated this father. Who had his child stolen in the middle of the night.

The tone at the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office today appears to be upbeat and as determined to find 5-year-old Haleigh Cummings today as it was February 10, 2009 when she was abducted from her Satsuma, FL home in the middle of the night.

I spoke with Lt. Johnny Greenwood at length this morning to see where the investigation is at this point. The quick answer is that they have received over 4,000 leads and have interviewed over 300 people so far.

One thing I discovered today is that most of the men and women investigating the disappearance of Haleigh Cummings are parents, too. One could easily believe that beyond their jobs, they might also be invested in this case on somewhat of a personal level.

Lt. Johnny Greewood tells me the happiest day will come when he can call a press conference and announce that Haleigh has been returned safe and sound. But until then, Greenwood says the investigators on the case remain working at the same level of intensity as the day the little girl was reported missing.

Greenwood contends that until proven otherwise, it is the department’s belief that Haleigh is still alive

Hi, Beth! I saw your question on the previous article so I’ll answer it over here.

I think there are a couple of things going on.
First, as usual, the state is taking the responsibility to be sure Maggot has competent counsel so she won’t be able to use that as an appeal later.
That’s why the state asked the judge to find out why there is no DP qualified lawyer on the defense team yet. Unfortunately, a lot of time has already passed since the DP was put back on the table and incompetent bozo has conducted depos and done things he had no business doing - that should have been done by a DP lawyer.

And yes it is the law that a DP qualified lawyer represent someone charged with a capital offense. However, it is also the law that a person has a right to choose their own defense. So, yes, maggot could choose to keep Bozo and NOT have a DP qualified attorney but she would have to sign a waiver saying she knows the consequences of that decision so she could not use incompetent counsel as a basis for an appeal later.

But now Bozo is saying he’s hired one and we have to wait to find out until it’s “revealed” on May 28. So I assume Maggot will have a DP qualified att’y. I just hope that what’s happened during the time she has not had one will not provide reason for an appeal later.

I too think the state is covering every base so as not to have an appeal. Though she’s get a free appeal if given the DP. Think she’ll waive her right to appeal that, not hardly, she’ll want to hang on & drag it out as long as she can. Hope we’re all still alive to see justice carried out.

Beth, yes as I understand it she’s kept away from the other inmates. I always doubt reports like that. Can’t be verified. I don’t know how she found out, do you remember? I thought she was with one of BB’s underlings and someone told her the DP was back before BB could get his lard butt over to the jail and he was PO’d about that.
Anyway, I wouldn’t be surprised if she got mad, though. I just don’t care!

Lockwood, I am so sorry that happened and that you are still suffering from it. I am by far NOT the best reference on things like this. There are others here who know more about the legal system AND have much better memories than I do. Mine is not too good - never was unfortunately. But I do the best I can. I sure hope everyone will feel free to pipe up when I’m off-base and remembering incorrectly! I don’t mind at all. In fact I appreciate it!

It seems as if Cobra tells different stories to different media outlets. Quite frankly, I cannot imagine Art Harris, an emmy winning investigative journalist who frequents CNN, would manufacture facts for his stories. Art Harris has disavowed Cobra’s statements in this interview, and we’d all be crazy to believe in Cobra’s ever changing version of the Haleigh Cummings case. He told me that we would have a baby name debate going until she arrives. When he is not traveling, he sits in his chair on his pc and I sit here with my bnn family. You all are such a blessing to me. I have a horrible problem with depression. If I did not have to get out of my house, I could stay locked up in here for a year without leaving. Took the girls today for what has to be the coolest Mother’s Day gift ever. I put several hundred pictures of the girls on a disc. Took it to Wal Mart of all places. In the photo shop, they have a self service kiosk from Kodak where you out your disk or camera chip in and select 60 pictures to go on a slide show DVD set to music. It’s extremely cool. You choose the music you want. It puts whatever title you want on it. We picked “My Girl” as the song….the girls each helped type To Mommy….Happy Mother’s Day…Love Lexie and Lissy. This thing is exceptional. They’re about to burst waiting for tomorrow to give it to her…guaranteed tear session.

When my daughter was probably about 4 or 5, she would always talk about the times before she was born as “when I was waiting to be born”. I’ll never forget that.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention that all of the above that I’ve written, is just in my humble opinion. Thank God we alll live in America where we can speak our minds. I also thank this web site that lets us post our thoughts. Lets Bring Haleigh Home Safe and also lets support the DO’ERS that are actively looking for her, like Cobra, Art Harris, & Tj. Hart…along with the Law Enforcement. Thanks people.
