According to a recent report the requirements for plaintiffs who file mesothelioma related lawsuits in Texas could be eased as a result of new legislation passed by the Texas Senate. Officials say that if the Bill goes through it would put Texas in line with most other states when it comes to asbestos exposure legislation.

However, officials have also warned that the House version of the bill is still pending at present, and this means that it could face opposition from various groups such as industry groups and businesses. However, if the bill does go through it could make things far easier for mesothelioma plaintiffs.

At present those filing mesothelioma lawsuits in the state of Texas face very tough regulations with regards to the provision of proof, and officials have said that this is not always easy to provide because mesothelioma can take several decades to develop from the time of exposure.

However, this level of proof will be reduced under the new legislation, which will make it easier for those that have developed this asbestos related cancer from exposure to get compensation for those deemed responsible.
