I understand what I think you mean - that the world knows about Aaliyah now so we won’t be going away and we do expect something to be done. But most of what CPS can say or any officer of the court can say about Aailyah’s case IS confidential because she’s a child. That’s the law I believe.

Please allow me one reasonable question without jumping on me or accusing me of awful things: After this past week of intense investigation and publicity on top of extensive publicity (on the internet anyway) for quite a long time it seems why did the mother go to court yesterday with no lawyer?

I thought some independent lawyers had offered their services or other similar opportunities had been provided? I am not talking about public defenders - I mean good independent lawyers.

And to Ms. C Bedwell above: There are all kinds of different trusts. It depends how the trust is written. One could be written in such a way as to allow only you access to it for purposes of providing legal aid to your child or to hire legal representation for yourself.

A trust is a legal binding document. I think the father would have a much more difficult time getting his hands on money in that kind of trust than he would any money you might collect that he could claim should go toward back child support for example (if required). I believe the right kind of trust really could keep it away from him.

They call the people telling THE TRUTH names such as “Crazy, mentally ill, munchausen syndrome, fruitloop etc.” And have a very charming fake concern of why they are even blogging on the internet. It is a tactic of a liar to call the honest person “crazy.”

They try to convince people this is a scam to try to make sure the mother cant afford an attorney in Aaliyah’s defense to present the overwhelming evidence to the system. Another Abuser tactic is too control their victims money.

They bash the living heck out of the mother, yet never address the issues or things the baby has stated. They spin your mind and focus away from the real issue.

They will constantly try to sway people away from helping the mother (An abuser tactic). Abusers always have certain things in their intenions such as ISOLATING the victim so the victim cant get help, SILENCING the victim so the victim cant get help, and MANIPULATING everyone around them to turn on the victim so the victim cant get help, and last but not least THEY PLAY THE POOR VICTIM THEMSELVES. They try to confuse people with whom the victim truely is so nobody cares to support the true victim.

Also there is a saying about abusers that rings true in every case… “They look in the mirror and see their dirty face yet proceed to wash the mirror.” They blame the true victim for everything they are truely doing… for example…in this case the pedophile claims the mother is trying to keep the child from him…yet in reality he is using that exact lie to proceed to actually do that very thing to the mother. Everything the abuser uses as his reasoning against the mother is exactly his agenda (remember that). For example he cheated on her, so he blamed her, he has used cocaine so he says she does, he is an alcoholic so he says she is, he is abusing his baby so he says she is, he is a lying manipulator so he says she is…etc. His goal is to throw out so many crossfiring accusations that nobody can see the truth. So pay very close to peoples writings. Its not hard to spot the peophile clan. They come up with the most off the wall lies. Make them prove what they are saying…if they have an email claiming the mother only wants money (an outright lie) make them present this email…oh wait they cant…it doesnt exist.

They cant defend themselves with facts and truth so therefore result in the name calling.

They have a goal to divide and conquer. Notice how he “Anne Cloter” tries to turn the mothers boyfriend against her. Abusers think they own their victims so they are extremely jealous if a new man comes into their victims life. In abusers minds the victim should have zero independence and should solely have to depend on the abuser.

Abusers operate on this in everything they do…CONTROL and ENTITLEMENT. They try to control the entire victims life and they think they are entitled to do it.

If you see any of these signs you know who they are…keep your eyes peeled. The mothers family and friends use their names because what they are saying is the truth. You never see the clan putting their name to their “stories” because they wont stand for the lies they tell.

Also everyone blogging on this site keep your eyes on the look out for this one thing… Jan and Simon are trying to dig for the TRUTH to come out… one problem the pedophile clan has with that is they dont want the truth to come out. I have one question…why would a stranger care if the money was in a trust??? I could suggest an idea…so the ped can have access to it…hmmm.

What harm can it be to fight for this anyway. Either way it is a win/win situation. If it is proven to be false then a hoax will be busted and a lot of people will go to jail. If we can prove this is truly a desperate mother trying to save her daughter’s life then I for one will feel better knowing I did what I could.

Some have helped and I personally thank them for the help. Some were quick to say from the get go that it was a hoax and never gave it a chance. That is fine, that is their right. I am expressing my right to go for it and help Connie and Aaliyah with all I have.

Simon and I would continue trying to help even if no one else was there to help, that is how strong we believe in this. If we are wrong then I will applaud it all because then I can say the child is safe!

It is important that the public keep the pressure on the people able to do something for this baby.

I hope CPS does too, they told me they will not divulge anymore information regarding Aaliyah, meaning if she is out of his house or not. So, I don’t even know how we will find out unless Cara or Mr. Bedwell let’s us know.

This child needs to be in a safe environment while decisions are being made. She is my only concern.

I do not know the father’s side of this case, and we have plenty of posts from the mother’s side. There are opinions all over the place on this subject. The more people talk about it, the more people have to sway their decisions. Even opinions I do not agree with personally will keep me thinking (and talking and posting) about this case.

All I truly care about is this child. She is either being horribly abused or is caught in a hellacious custody battle. No matter what is happening, there needs to be an impartial(if there is such a thing) investigation immediately.

There needs to be continued public scrutiny of this case, the courts, the officials, CPS, the attorneys and the parents. This is a real little girl and she is in need of our help.

So even if people do not jump on the bandwagon immediately KarenCCC, at least you have helped to bring out discussion, and action.

Sarf, thank you so much for standing up for Aaliyah and her mother. I tried to contact Aaliyah’s “lawyer” today, 10 times, ALWAYS an answering machine…Does she know about all of us trying to get Aaliyah’s voice heard?

I spoke with CPS today also. They said they are looking into taking the baby out of the father’s home and placing her in a neutral setting as BOTH parents will be investigated. That is all I want! I want that baby safe. I have NEVER asked anyone to send money to Connie. I asked that if anyone knew of a lawyer that is willing to take on this case to please get in contact with Connie. I care about this baby first and foremost! It’s sick what is going on…..and it goes on everywhere and everyday. But because Aaliyah hasn’t been murdered yet, people are skeptical. I have not read much on the petition site but have seen such things happen right here so that’s what I thought you were talking about in addition to the petition site.

I was very surprised and confused when that accusation was thrown out against you and then again in a post that was copied over to this site from the petition site where her father mentioned “mermaid” along with other aliases he accused.

I then went over to the petiton site and read every single post which was up to number 777 at the time I read them. Not once did I see anyone post under the name “Mermaid”. I then went to another blog that was following this and read all those posts - totalling over 300 posts and again saw no one under the name Mermaid.

I surmised then that somewhere in the past the mother has been accused by the father’s side of having the disease that you mentioned in your post and because of that you were automatically assumed to be an alias posting on their behalf. I could be totally off base with that assumption - we all know where assuming leads us many times.

I also did see your posts after that and I commend you for handling it the way that you did.

Actually, if you read my comments, yes I did try to clear things up. I was assumed to be part of this family- I am not. The people involved refuse to believe me. Apparently anyone who does not immediately support them or believe them is an enemy or a pedophile supporter. They could not be further from the truth. I am a victim of violent crime. I have been through similar court problems in small town jurisdictions. I have had to go into hiding from a stalker because it is difficult to prove threats.

As far as the use of nicknames, you have to realize that no one should use their real names to post under- it is not generally done for a reason- safety and security. I can understand the family doing so in this case, because they need to get the facts into the emails and letters being written.

I will continue to send emails and letters on behalf of this child to anyone I think may even remotely be able to help. I will not let the family’s mistaken belief that I am part of the problem keep me from doing what I feel is morally the right thing to do. It does not matter if they continue to attack my nickname for the posts that I made under it. You can’t control what other people think or say- you can only control what you, yourself say and do. I choose to help in whatever way I can find.

I have never accused anyone who expressed doubts of having any relation one way or other to either side. I myself have posted certain questions about some of the reports being posted.

By capitalizing “YOUR” in your post above, I’m unsure why you are identifying this as my cause. I have neither advocated for or against either side of this. I’ve only posted questions I have or tried to answer another poster’s questions and I believe I’ve always qualified with something to the effect “according to what I’ve read or seen posted”. At least that is what I tried to do in each post.

I have no factual knowledge and what limited heresay knowledge I have is based only what I’ve seen posted on this web site as well as the many others that I’ve tried to research when this first came out on this web site last week. It has caught my attention and while I still do not know what I do believe is really going on, the more time goes by and the more of her family and friends that have shown up to post, the telephone interview that I did listen to on the COC web site, Jan and Simon having spoken to not just Connie now but it sounds like more than just her - more and more there seems to be some validity to this.

I think anyone should be able to post any questions they have whether it is questioning the mother’s claims, the family and friend’s claims, the anonymous claims (as my post above was simply addressing) without being ridiculed or chastised for doing so. To my recollection, I’ve never done so and hope that I never would in the future. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and it’s the calm, intellectual sharing of opinions that generally tends to push a topic to further and deeper discussion or resolution, as the case may be.

I actually contacted the family, and was accused of being a pedophile family MEMBER. I only did this because I (by nickname Mermaid) was singled out by Connie’s father in his post. The response I got was more accusations. All I asked was to be believed, as I had come to believe them(and the allegations of abuse of this child). The correspondence did not go well. Despite this I have done all I could to help.

I had already become involved by writing letters and sending emails to the authorities I felt would be most helpful. I posted this information, and I spread the word to other private forums I am a member of.

This family is suffering, and they need help. This beautiful child desperately needs help.

However they need to stop fighting everyone who has an opinion they do not like, and instead try to convince them of their case. Provide the contacts for people to send emails to. There are many people out here who want to help, it does not matter if they believe each and every allegation put forth. If they can’t do this they are wasting the resources they so desperately need. They need to take their frustration and channel it into results- not just venting anger.

The focus needs to be put on saving this child from abuse. This little girl needs everyone’s support and love. It does not matter why people want to help, only that they do.

Yes, accused, admittedly so that is not proof. However, those posters that are being accused of having been done by his attorney, sister, etc on one petition NEVER did return to defend themself or to ojbect to the accusation that they were not who they said they were. Those particular posts in question have been copied onto this site from the petition as well as on to other sites. No where does the person ever show up again after having laid their allegations and falsehood claims against the mother show up to prove they are legitimate and try to defend against the accusation that they are none other than the father’s attorney, relative or father himself.

On the other hand, Connie’s father, sister, boyfriend, etc have shown up on multiple sites using their own names.

If you go to the CPC website and listen to the phone interview they had with the mother - a lot of the questions you are asking were discussed in that phone interview as to how this has all happened and continues to happen.

From what I understand,prior to yesterday’s revised gag / restraining order, the mother could not be the one to initiate the contact but could respond to questions or interviews if she was contacted. That is how she was able to be interviewed. They called her.

Why is there no one from the pediatrician, to the counselor/psychologist who saw Aali, to the court ordered attorney-which Connie herself admits her child has in her blog, to any impartial parties who might have first hand knowledge regarding the alleged abuse coming forward?

Why is say no one from Raley’s - a public place where pick up and drop off’s occured for a period of time coming forward they witnessed any of this?

Is there anyone who can substantiate these claims outside of Connies circle of friends and family? The courts are likely to listen to impartial parties as opposed to those who have a vested interest……….

She does not have custody at all, meaning Aaliyah does not reside with mother(Connie)?
So this child has little contact, save for visitation and Aaliyah could possibly on a daily basis be sexually abused day in and day out and no media attention is being given to this? Something seems very wrong here.

I’m siding with the claim of the child, I can’t help that. BUT, a judge (see post above mine) who won’t even look at a child abuse case? Look at the file? WTF? there is something else going on here.

The mother has uploaded the video to Youtube, has had interviews on the saveaaliyah site (ie the phone interview) is this violation of a gag order?

Court did not go as we had hoped yesterday. The new judge has inforced the Gag order against Connie without reviewing the court file prior to making her ruling. This is what we have been dealing with for 2 years.

Could it be that something in Connie’s story is not adding up? She does not have custody at all and until I see court documents myself, I find it hard to believe it’s ONLY because she complained about the abuse. I’m almost certain there is far more to the reasons she has zero custody.

Then I see a website where ‘how to help’ is about donating to the mom. Causes me again to pause and think about the big picture.

No one, including the likes of Nancy Grace would turn a story down unless there is some deep unanswered questions about the truth of this entire thing.

I still can’t believe how little media attention this is getting.

I cried as I read the accounts of Aaliyah’s exchanges between her mother and father. Connie has to be one of the strongest women I have ever heard of anywhere. I know I couldn’t do what she has done.

Pleae please tell Connie there are people who support her and will continue to do so. This child has suffered enough, and its clear she has her mother’s strength.

As for all the comments made by some of the people who are regulars to this site. I have no explanation for their reaction to all of this. I have been coming to this site for several weeks and thought I was interacting with some very loving and caring individuals.

I was dumb founded by what happened. I was attacked and accused of everything under the sun. They said they were mad because Karen and I were trying to shove this down their thoats. I have read and re-read the blogs and can’t find even one example of any of the things that they claimed was justification for their wrath towards us.

I issued them a challenge to present me with ONE comment that supported their position, they have NOT been able to do that. After hours of being called scam artist and accusations to ridiculous to mention, I struck back. I should not have, it was childish and only reduced this to even a lower level.

Pleae tell Connie, I am still making calls and trying to help her in every way I can. I have meant to call her several times but I have not done it because I have not accomplished much in my efforts to help her. There really is a good ole boys network alive and thriving out there. Connie should bring a civil law suit against the people who have enabled the father to continue the abuse of this baby.

Good luck in all your doing, for what its worth, she does have support. Also please let her know, although its hard to see it now, some of the people who are regulars here, really are good and decent people. In response to your post on May 4th, that myspace account belongs to Connie’s older sister (who I have known for almost 14 years as well). Connie’s account was in fact deleted by myspace. Myspace will delete your profile if they receive complaints regarding content on your profile.

I can’t even begin to count the number of times that Aaliyah has described to us (her mother, aunt, Connie’s boyfriend, etc.) the details of how her father gave her “owies”. Let me tell you, one of the most heartbreaking things that you can witness is when a 2 year old is screaming and crying to not have to go with her father. When we would pick Aaliyah up from visitation with her father, she would start acting very clinging and on many occassions was completely hysterical. We spent a lot of time just sitting in the parking lot waiting for her to calm down so that we could put her in her car seat. All she would want was for Connie to hold her - she felt safe once she was back with Connie. On one occassion, she told us that her father had given her “owies” on her leg on the car ride to meet us. It took almost 45 minutes for her to calm down enough for us to put her in her car seat. She cried hysterically the entire ride home and Connie had to sit in the middle seat (in the backseat of the car) and lean half of her body onto Aaliyah’s car seat so that Aaliyah could burrow her head into Connie and hold onto her.

Shortly after the abuse began, I would be at Connie’s house and Aaliyah would be playing on the floor with her dolls. Out of the blue, she would shake her baby (with her hands on the baby’s shoulder or throat) and yell “Stop That”. She then would slap her baby across the face and continue to yell “Stop That, Stop Crying”. When we would take her outside to play or to the park she would ask Connie to play with her. Connie would say, “okay what do you want to play?” Aaliyah would answer, “I am the baby and you are the mommy and you have to save me”. She would then run a little ways away (sometimes onto the play structure) and would say “okay, mommy. Come and save me! Come save the baby Aaliyah”. Her games always involved being “safe”.

Needless to say, I tried to help Connie find other options as well. However, there is no way that any of us (who are her true friends and love Aaliyah as if she was our own child) would have been able to live with ourselves if the other “options” didn’t pan out and Connie ended up going to jail or losing any chance of custody forever. Even the possibility that the ped or his parents could end up as her sole custodial guardians was enough for me to feel that there is no way that we could take that chance.

Please know that these claims are VERY REAL and those of us who know the situation as well as all the players involved will not rest until Aaliyah is safe from ever being harmed by him again.

To all your doubters out there who have slammed this as being a hoax - how will you feel when it is proven that this is really happening? Please remember to think before you speak as this is VERY real and upsetting to those who are involved.

If Connie were trying to scam money out of the caring general public.. then why would she be asking for help to contact authorities..?? It’s the same thing as calling the police department and saying “hi I am running an internet scam and I wanted to provide you with my information so you can nail my ass to a wall”.. Seriously people.. Think about that.

And also.. Everyone seems to thinking scam because she claims she has attempted informing every official she can think of.. what would you like her to do?? Jump on a plane and never been seen again? Or kill the person she feels wronged her child and go to prison for the rest of her life? Then what happens to the child.

Many people have killed because they feel they have no other option.. but this women took the high road and took a different path.

There are some very good people who work for Child Protective Services in every state. But there are also some who are there for the purpose of getting a paycheck and really don’t do the job for which they are given the paycheck. The latter of the 2 described fail children on every level. History and dead children prove this happens. How many children have lived in horrific abuse their whole short lives and at the end of all the suffering, they die, murdered by the ones who are suppose to love and protect them.

This may or not be the case with this child. As it stands at this moment, if any benefit of the doubt is given, in my mind, that has to be given on the side of the child. The adults in this case will weather any storm or fall out from these allegations, the child may not.

I understand the FBI is now involved in this case and I feel sure the truth is on its way.
Alledgely they have acted on the dead threats made by the father toward the mother, her family members and sadly even the child. Those threats have given the FBI the authority to get involved. The sexual abuse was not a crime that allows the FBI’s intervention. Death threats is another matter, it puts the child in clear and present danger.

I do not know if the claim of child abuse is true or untrue but I went to report this and they are being flooded with calls and though no information can be released about this case, the claim that IT IS NOT being looked into is untrue. Placer County takes every case of child abuse seriously. The sites were shut down I would imagine the Youtube vid no longer works is its child exploitation. If my child were being sexually abused and speaking about it, I would not post it on the internet for people to play judge and jury. Making child abuse known is one thing, using a child is another and this is diplorable. My feeling is this is some kind of vandetta. Either way, Parent or child will suffer.

This mother appears to be, more than a little bit, computer savvy. She also has a considerable network of support already in place prior to BNN ever becoming aware of this matter. Petitions have been started with hundreds of signatures.

I was talking to someone who thought they knew you, that is it. No harm intended. If you knew me better, you would know I would NEVER EVER do or say anything to put you in harms way. I will be 59 in less than a month. Never in my life have I seen so many murdered, missing, and abused children. It seems the last few months, children have become an endangered species. The fact that these things are happening and we are all helpless to stop it, is really hard to accept. There is no preventions good enough when someone is determined to hurt a child. It never gets any easier.

Every other day or so, another child has fallen victim. For people who deeply care, it almost becomes more then we can handle. These stories keep coming out and each one is worse then the last. We get on here and try to make sense of it. But that can’t happen because it makes no sense. It never will, when you can’t visualize doing something yourself, you are incapable of seeing someone else do it. We no longer have to ask WHEN the next child will be in the news as missing, murdered or abused, lately a more appropriate question is WHERE will the next chid show up on the news.

We each will decide what caused the uproar here. I choose to believe it came from months of frustration and the feeling of hopelessness. If only there was one safe place to raise every endangered child. Where they could be nurtured and grow up with love. Where they would be safe from all who wished to harm them.

I have read each and every comment anyone posted here. I believe if you care enough to write them, I owe you the respect of reading them.

I have been interacting with this group for several weeks now. I have cried tears of laughter and tears of sorrow. No matter what the emotion one thing had remained constant, I have thoroughly enjoyed the time I spent with this group. I can’t think of any one person I didn’t like. It is true there is some I felt a closer connection to than others, I believed I was among friends.

A lot has been said about who did what to who. I don’t think I was rude to anyone last night UNTIL I posted the comment: Anne Ambrose Here. At that moment I lost it. I CHALLENGE anyone to show me any comment I made that was rude or unkind prior to the comment above. Anybody that can do that, can tell me to leave and NEVER come back, I will go. This is a bold statement I know, but I make it with confidence. The reason I am comfortable making that statement is because up to the point I lashed out, I liked all of you,

I understood your doubts. I agreed with you on many points. I know I stated more than once, something has to be done. One of these parents needs to be prosecuted. The father if he is guilty or the mother if she is crying wolf.

In closing I need to address something I am NOT at all proud of. Anger got the best of me. My feelings were hurt of course, but that is not what made me angry. All of this in fighting has taken the focus off the chilren. Nothing is worth that to me. A child can never have to many people looking out for them. I should have never never said some of the things I said, I was rude and nasty and I’m sorry for causing anyone of you pain. No matter what is going on, there is never a good reason to hurt people. There are enough really evil people more then willing to do that.

So much time and energy has been spent on this whole thing. I have not been coming on much because there are enough people adding fuel to this fire and I refuse to be part of that. The focus needs to be back on the children.

But, hopefully the authors of this blog can finally shed some light on what is really going on and end the debate and speculation for everyone on the internet, along with getting this young girl the protection that she needs and deserves.

I’m just getting caught up on the postings since Friday night. Lots seems to have happened. Thank goodness Jan and Simon are getting some much needed answers.

Ms Pickels - I know your question was directed to Mermaid regarding how AnneA could know where she lives but I thought I’d offer my take on it.

It looked to me when I read AnneA’s post that she suspects Mermaid is someone else and from the tone of it (and I could very well be way off base here) it sounds like she thinks Mermaid is someone connected to this case somehow that possibly lives in Lafayette. I suspect that through the conversations that AnneA has had with Connie that she has obtained a lot more information than she has shared on here, as have Jan and Simon per their posts that they can’t post all they have been told just yet.

Again, I could be way off base here with that assumption.

and Ms. Picles - thank you kindly for your apology yesterday that you posted. Although I don’t feel an apology to me was necessary, thank you all the same.

I really do not like someone trying to determine where I live. I am the victim of violent crime, and that includes a stalker who wants me dead. I have enough real life drama. I have lived with not being allowed to have an opinion, or being able to voice one without being harassed for it.

I can completely understand your anger at the ’system’, because I have been a victim of it myself. What I can’t understand is the attack on posters here for opposing opinions.

Mermaid, that is funny because abusers always try to convince people that their victims are crazy, mentally ill and mentally unstable like they all went to the same ABUSER ACADEMY!!!

I probably assumed that you were referring to my post about Munchausen’s by Internet. If you would like to clarify what you mean, please do. I meant it when I said I am not attacking your opinion, and that you are passionate about this case and this child.

The whole reason comments are allowed is to bring forth communication, and conversation. You just have to realize that not everyone will agree with you, and not take it personally. Nothing I have said is meant to cause you to feel unwelcome. We all have opinions, and points of view.

The articles are interesting, and the opinions varied on many subjects. (wink- we all hate Casey - but that is not unique to BNN LOL).

This subject seems to have touched a nerve in many, although we all agree that the child always needs to come first.

This is why I have bothered to post. This child is important, they all are. If blogging about it and posting comments gets people involved in pushing for the investigations this case needs, we have won one battle! The war to protect our children goes on daily. That is what is most important to remember.

As I stated, I have been in this situation. I am assuming(perhaps incorrectly) that you have not. I am not attacking you, your opinion, nor your obvious passion for this child.

Abuse of a child in any way is criminal. This case needs to be investigated, and prosecuted as either child abuse and endangerment, or as fraud. It can not be ignored.
