Last night Jan and I were invited to take part in Denny Griffin’s Juror Thirteen show on Blog Talk Radio, the theme was Children Under Siege. Joining the panel was Sky 97.3 director of news TJ. Hart. It was a lively hour of discussion about the Haleigh Cummings and Caylee Anthony cases. One of the interesting topics that came up was the somewhat thorny issue of ethics in the media.

The law states quite clearly that a person accused of a crime is presumed innocent until proven guilty. Yet increasingly we are seeing cases that are being judged in the court of public opinion. The judges being the press. Do we in fact color the future jury pool?

If you missed the show it was recorded and you can listen to it here.

BNN is very pleased to announce that our weekly Sunday show The News In Review will be airing at 3PM Central and we have some great guests lined up this week.

We will have our regular panelists, Denny Griffin and Ms. Pickles. We will also have SKY 97.3’s ace reporter and Haleigh Cummings expert T.J. Hart. I am also very happy to add one more name to our panel this week, William “Cobra” Staubs. Cobra is the bail bondsman and private investigator who has been working hard on the Haleigh case. He has been using his own resources and seems to have achieved more in this case than Law Enforcement.

There is some movement in this case, and hopefully Cobra and TJ will have some interesting new developments to bring us. Much of the main stream media has moved on from this case, however BNN is planning on sticking with it til the bitter end. And we are heartened that TJ and Cobra seem to share that sentiment.

Cobra is a colorful character, so I think this show is going to be one that you will not want to miss. If you have been following the Haleigh case this is going to be your big opportunity to dial in and ask Cobra and TJ Hart any questions that you have.

In the Caylee case, as you know Jan and I have had our noses buried in researching the Money Trail, and that research is still going on. But we will be happy to answer any questions about what we have uncovered so far.

See you all on Sunday.

Simon and Jan Barrett
