I would like to express my appreciation of Simon Barrett’s comments on bloggernews.net.
They are “on the mark” and extremely well written.

I, for one, strongly object to most other supposed “Caylee blogs” which are too often exploited by those who are more interested in discussing their personal business and/or backbiting one another. I am interested in the comments of those who are primarily concerned with the facts and the truth regarding the senseless murder of an innocent and defenseless two-year-old child.

I think you’re right, Simon about the “ace in the hole”. I don’t think prosecutors would take this route if they were just trying to bluff Casey into taking a plea. They must have something so solid and convincing that they are willing to stake their whole case on it. Possibly so heinous that they know that a jury, upon hearing it, would have no choice but to send her to her death.
It is laughable that Baez keeps acting like prosecutors are trying to somehow “trick” Casey. Isn’t the defense betting everything that they can sway the jury also? Everyone else will live on if they lose this bet except Casey. Who is the dumb one here?

I will take one of those questions… The difference between a DA and a prosecutor is this…

The DA is in charge of the entire office…they are still lawyers, but they rarely take on any cases. It is an elected position and is considered a political position as well. Think of them as the CEO of a company…but this company puts people in jail

The prosecutors are assistant or deputy District Attorneys….they try cases…they are hired not elected…they are grunts and do all of the work…the DA is their boss.

Papa, i think you are so right!Why be so honest and then turn around and go the other way, but you do say things when you are mad and hurt! But to start lying after telling the truth makes them look really bad, i can see sindee washing clothes and george trying to wash car, lee said when he went in there where the car was they had the trunk up and doors and windows open, i wonder if this was after they talked to police!Maybe they thought they could convince police she didn’t do it and they didn’t buy it! I may be confused about what you are asking, but when C said ‘we have lost her’ it was to G when he came home as she and M were on the phone with 911. They did have the car back, it was in the driveway and C had already washed the incriminating clothes and smelled the awful stink.

I am sure that when they picked the car up and got it home, C and G had a convo about the smell and stated fears of Caylee’s death. Perhaps that prompted the ‘lost’ statement - although I believe C truly believed M at that moment that Caylee was kidnapped.

Linda…. they had the car before Sindee went and found Maggot. They had already smelled the smell and that caused Sindee to track Maggot down. It all happened the same day. I think if I smelt a dead body and then my daughter tells me she hasn’t seen my grandbaby in 31 days, has been acting eratic, lies just to be lying, etc., I would think the worst too. I’m pretty sure I would KNOW my grandbaby was dead and at that point the police would need to be called because I would have KILLED my daughter!

The G story about the trunk is bogus one way or another…either he lied to the police about not smelling or seeing Caylee because we know that by the 24th she was dead several days and in that trunk for many of them…

…or G never got near that trunk and the entire story is fictional…

…but either way, I don’t see how he could have been honest with the cops about that incident…and if he lied about that…seems to me the rest of his stories are bogus too…

But I do see where you are coming from…I really felt that both of them were honest for the longest time, but as time goes on, the stories all change over and over…so I find it hard to credit them with honesty at any point during this investigation other than C’s intial 911 call because I don’t think anyone can fake that kind of raw emotion.

L&LPapa - That was a great letter you wrote to Sgt. John Allen. You put a lot of work into that and I know they will do a “head’s up”.

Spacely - regarding the concrete slab the Ant’s poured July 4 weekend, LE should just get a search warrant and tear up the slab. The county or state could always pay to replace it if there is nothing under there.

Everyday something whacky & unbelieveable comes up. As unlikely as it might appear there is “anything” under the slab, they might as well clear the questions up once and for all.

I read some news items about how costly this DP trial is going to be. The cost will increase 10 fold! If found guilty, a lot of the cost will further be expended into the penalty phase.

I don’t know if I can agree with you Spacely… I think the Ants were being honest with LE prior to KC getting released the first time. I think they were talking too freely…giving WAY too much information that is now biting them on the ass. Look at the video conference when they were talking to KC in jail the first time. I don’t think they knew. I think Cindy was going crazy trying to track down leads…and it was pissing KC off.

Once she got home though…they learned…and that’s when their stories started to change. Now…since that time they have been trying work their way out of those FBI tapes (especially George) and changing their stories…

Just my opinion…that is how I am viewing things…doesn’t mean I am right…

Yes, flowerchild, shortly after the 911 call, C did a complete 180…but why? Seems that she did not know before the call, but shortly after she did?

I think G saw the body on June 24, started helping M cover up her crime, was suprised as hell by the 911 call, then let C in on it, but by then, it was way too late for M.

If G got anywhere near that car on June 24, you know he smelled it because he stated that when he picked it up from the tow yard weeks later as soon as he got near, the smell was overwhelming, but by then, the body had been gone for weeks. Can you imagine how much stronger the fresh smell must have been?

August 6 – During an interview on Fox News, Casey’s father, George Anthony, admitts, despite previous denials, that his daughter had in fact stolen the gas cans from his shed. George said he found the cans in the trunk of the car Casey was driving when he went looking for a tire tool.

G went looking for this tool on Jun 24 - and I believe this is also the same search he is referring to when he tells the police M would not let him into the trunk. Remember how it made no sense to us that M could have grabbed a jack or tire tool out of the trunk without him seeing in or smelling the awful stink?

G has told at least two different stories about this event and refused to answer during the last depo any questions about it.

Seems to me if he ‘found’ the gas cans in the trunk, that means he saw the open trunk.

So, either the body was already gone and his nose was not working that day or the body was there and that is when he found out and started covering for M…

I originally had hopes of tying this up better in terms of how this tape wound up in the Anthony home, but I could not find a permit having been pulled for HVAC work. The detectives will have access to their financial information which could show payment for this type of work.

In any event they now have what I was able to put together. I will let you know anything I mat hear from them. A separate letter was sent with all my contact info, credentials, etc.

I am writing this as a concerned citizen with children and grandchildren of my own, solely, in an effort to help. You may be aware of what I have to say but I wanted to point something out to you.

It has been widely reported that the duct tape wrapped around the baby’s skull was matched by the FBI to the tape on the gas can. The defense for Casey Anthony has stated that the tape is the most common sold in this country. That is not true. The tape shown in the evidence photos that have been released of the gas can, is a very unusual, unique type of duct tape.

I became curious after viewing the pictures because in 35 years of commercial construction here in Florida, I have never seen duct tape with the manufacturer’s logo, temperature tolerance, model numbers, etc. printed on the face of the tape.

-Attached are e-mails that I sent to the Henkel Corp. questioning the type of tape shown in the photos of the gas can.

-Attached is an e-mail reply that I received from Henkel identifying the tape as Henkel “Fireguard Duck Tape”, which has since been discontinued

-Attached is a photo of a roll of “Fireguard Duck Tape” as it was marketed.

Henkel “Fireguard Duck Tape” was designed to “hold, seam, and seal HVAC sheet metal and flex ducts” according to company information bulletins.

My point is essentially that the Henkel brand’s market share of duct tape sales is only a percentage of total sales in general. Other manufacturers, such as 3M and Suretape, have a large share due to marketing agreements with major retailers. Home Depot and Lowe’s outlets in Orlando do not sell Henkel tape. Henkel “Fireguard Duck Tape” held such a minor share of Henkel’s sales, it has been discontinued. A minor share, of a less than major share, of duct tape sales in general does not qualify for “the most common duct tape sold in this country” as stated by the defense attorney.

With the tape on the gas can and the baby’s skull being identified by the manufacturer as designed for HVAC applications, it seems to me that it could be likely that the Anthony’s have some connection to the HVAC trade, possibly having this type of work done in their home recently.

Anna - Butters and I were trying to think of what NEW the state has to bring back the Death Penalty. It has to be huge, and my guess is they have prints. They never said that Kcee’s prints weren’t there, they just said that C, G and L’s were not found.

2 doc. dumps ago there was talk about prints and bringing back the DP. Whatever it is that they have has to be huge….and prints would surely do the trick!

LE as far as I am concerned as well as FBI have been very thorough in their search in the woods as well as the testing. Takes a lot of man hours to do what these people do and they deserve a lot of recognition for it!

Including them tracking her sleep patterns etc with her cell phone pings/text pings. Especially with how much she texts and calls people!

Butters, I agree with you about the State must have something big against KC in order to change this to a DP case. You would hope that the DA and the prosecutors assigned to this case would have a huge pow wow before deciding to change this to a DP case and they would go over all of their evidence with a fine tooth comb. Then and only then would they all agree to change and go for the big one.

I DO NOT believe that the State is trying to get KC to plea to life… She hasn’t cracked yet…and she isn’t going to. She, Bozo and the Ants are way too deep into this now to consider a plea. They have all of their marbles in one basket…and that is acquital… If she took a plea, she would have to admit guilt…and she is never going to do that…even if she is convicted.

beast i totaly agree with you a sexuall assault is a sexuall asault maximun prison time and alot 50+yrs minumum…also crimes by a parent are so much worse because a child grows up thinking this behavior is normal, thinking everyones mom or dad does this with thier children, and these are the people that are suppose to be protecting them, and alot of the time when the child finds out that its wrong they are so embarresed and humiliated by whats been happining the refuse to tell so it justs continues, or else the abuser has convinced the child that it was thier fault, they wouldnt have done this if the child hadnt wore that shirt or bent over that way or that they kissed the parent goodnight in a provacative way, mutch the same as a physical abuser blames thier victoms..i truly hate these people, whats that club called namba some pervert club over the net??? i read about it on(can you believe OPRA) yesterday while i was gonna write to her about the ants…supposidly its a hard org to get inside the fbi agent was on the inside for 3yrs b4 he got them busted, but im sure its up and running again by new sick members!!!
