As unbelievable as that sounds, it is absolutely true. To be more accurate a young girl in the United States deserves a medal for not assuming anything and telling her mother. A 16 yr old boy in Oxfordshire (UK) told her via Facebook that he was going to take his life. Now the article does not go in to much detail about how well they new each other, or if he had suggested this kind of thing before.

This event also points out an almost miraculous chain of events. The boy sends her a message via Facebook that he is thinking that way, she tells her mother. Her mother then calls police, who in turn called a “special agent” in the White House. I don’t know what that means. The British embassy got involved who then contacted the police in the UK. Somehow they narrowed his location down to 8 possible places, and dispatched officers to check them all. They found him at the fourth address, and he had taken an overdose but was still conscious.

These days we hear so many stories that are just plain bad, and heartbreaking. It is nice to hear a happy ending, and a life was saved because a lot of caring people made it happen. Good Job!
