Terisa, I agree with everything you said except one thing and it is jmo. I feel deep, deep in my heart that Cindy played a HUGE part in Caylees demise. That last fight in 6/15 put Casey over the edge…snapped for another word. Yes, she wanted her freedom and would have eventually killed that baby but Cindy put her way over the edge and casey couldn’t take her mothers rath anymore. Casey HATED her mother. I’ve been a reader here for a very long time but I think it’s time I join in. You guys have had so many interesting things to say. I have kept up with the case from the beginning and really need someone to talk to about it. I think my family is getting tired of me talking about it.
I live in Virginia and was telling my fiance’ that I had never been on a plane. He asked me where I would go if I could go on a short trip. I told him I would love to go to Florida and put something on Caylees memorial. He made all the arrangements and then told me to pack. I thought it would give me some closure but it made it more real and it was hard to leave. I love him so much for doing that for me. I have pics on my space if anyone wants to see. The memorial was beautiful and I can’t believe they want to take it down.
I am a grandmother and also have a 23 yr old single daughter. She has a daughter, exactly Caylees age and a boy 4 1/2. They have been with me since birth. I think thats why this has touched me so much. I love those children so much. Its hard to hug Hannah now without thinking of precious Caylee.
Sorry so long but wanted to give you guys info on me. Hope I will be welcome here.

I hated that damn radio. It was in the 60’s before we got married and for a “date” he would pick me up and take me to his house, and go down to the basement where he had his radio set up. He would pull a chair up for me and I would just sit there for hours listening to him talk on the radio. I would have rather gone out to dinner and a movie but he was usually broke and thought sitting there with him would be fun for me. NOT!!

He loved it tho! LOL

Oh, and then he got into radio controlled airplanes. Yes, again he would drag me out to a farmers field and get the thing in the air only to crash it head first in the ground or in a pig field. Lots of $$$ crushed to bits. Again, I would have rather done the dinner/movie thing.

But………….I married him anyway!

Beast..really really true romance would have been if mb had to listen to him “talk” using morse code..now that really would be a pain!

My daughters partner builds model planes..now both Mandy and Luke {almost a year old} both have to watch him crash them…he builds model boats too..has to dive in the pond to rescue them…at least he is not down the pub so she is thankful for his hobbies.

I keep putting together the cadaver dogs hitting on the dumpster (even though nothing was in there by the time the cops checked it) and the van being moved the night before.

Sad but true - in the state I live in and that’s not Florida. Stood before a judge and was told until there is “proof” of harm to a child (jr) they can not remove him/her from the home, even if there is exisiting proof that harm has been done to another child (Haleigh) in the home. Goal of department of child services is to “preserve” or “reunite” families at all cost.

There is a major debate going on in the media right now about the “morning after pill”, which a judge recently ordered be made available to 17 year olds without a prescription. Many feel this should only be available to a minor with the consent of the parents, which is what I would most likely agree with.

But then I think about the Haleigh case…how many 17 year olds are living with a man? How many are using some kind of pregnancy prevention or STD protection?

I would like to think that most 17 year old girls are living with loving parents that would provide appropriate guidance, but Misty’s mom allowed her to live with Ron all this time…and I have never heard Crystal’s mom say if she allowed Crystal to be there or not as a minor or what she did to stop it…

I know that’s the way the courts think - to keep families together at all costs. Unfortunately it’s the innocent children who pay those costs. Why can’t the courts understand that? God knows they’ve seen the tragic results often enough. It’s sickening.

I have also followed this case closely from the beginning, and believe me, my emotions have run the gamut while doing so. I too, hope I’m welcome on this blog, since this is the only blog where everyone’s posts effectively capture my thoughts on the whole case! For instance, one blogger asked the same question that I’ve wanted to ask-since when do jails pass out sedatives, for pete’s sake? I also have had a HUGE part in the lives of my two oldest granddaughters, so I’m sure that’s why little Caylee’s death is so close to my heart. These two g-daughters spent many weeks (sometimes longer) with G’pa and me, and believe me when I say that if their mother would hve been like Casey (a mean spoiled rotten human), and we had argued like Cindy and Casey did on June 15th, WILD HORSES couldn’t have pulled that baby out of mine or her G’pa’s arms!!!!! On another note, this is jmo, but I don’t necessarily think Casey is mentally ill-mind you, I’m no doctor, but I do know that this “Mental-illness defense” is a convenient catch-all for the attorneys. I feel personally, that she is just plain damned mean!! She is so spoiled that nothing is going to stand in her way of getting what she wants, even when it came to the decision to take the life of her own precious baby girl!!

Does anyone else agree with me on my opinion that Casey isn’t necessarily mentally ill, but just plain damned mean? There are many people who are diagnosed as “Criminally Insane” who would NEVER murder their own child!! Casey grew to become this mean, spoiled CREATURE simply because her parents enabled her all her life, rather than force her to accept responsibility for her actions!!!! A person cannot be “conditioned” to be insane, insanity stems from how the person is biologically programmed. However, a person can certainly be “conditioned” to be mean!!

Hello Spacely….From the looks of his record with NO convictions he may believe a judge is for everyone else. He’s been busted more than once for crimes that any one of which have sent people I know of to prison.

Timeline:

It is evident to all that Haleigh Cummings was injured at her elementary school, (Browning-Pearce) on November 6, 2008. The school records document a nose cut at 1:50 p.m. A photo taken the previous day (Exhibit A) shows Haleigh without injury.

Haleigh Cummings was taken to the ER at FlaglerHospital in St. Augustine at 4:31 p.m. on November 6, 2008 by Teresa Neves, Ronald’s mother, since Ronald had to report to work. The hospital records document a laceration to the nose, and facial contusions, and it was noted upon physical examination that Haleigh was suffering from swelling and superficial abrasions, a more serious injury than described by the school report. It is important to note that emergency room physicians and staff are extensively trained in recognizing, treating and reporting child abuse and it is clear there were no such concerns.

In the interim, during the afternoon of November 6, 2008, at 3:38 p.m., approximately 1 ½ hours after the injury, two photos taken by Teresa Neves (Exhibit B) accurately depict Haleigh’s injuries. The injuries were also observed by Ronald Cummings and Misty Croslin (now Cummings) on November 6, 2008, and on November 7, 2008 by Annette Sykes, Ronald’s grandmother.

On November 7, 2008, three (3) photos were taken at 10:17 a.m. (Exhibit C) by Teresa Neves, which depict worsening discoloration and swelling.

On November 9, 2008, three (3) more photos were taken of Haleigh (Exhibit D) which show the natural progression and continuation of her response to the injury.

On November 12, 2008, Haleigh was suffering from stomach cramps, nausea, and vomiting. She was taken by Teresa Neves to FlaglerHospital in St. Augustine where she was treated, and because of the facial trauma that occurred on November 6, 2008, a CT of the head and nose was performed as a precaution. Both tests were negative for any abnormalities. She was provided medication, and released.

On November 14, 2008, two (2) photos of Haleigh were taken by Teresa Neves (Exhibit E) showing that all swelling had subsided, with no visible lacerations or bruises.

The undated photos in the possession of the biological mother are consistent with the photos depicted in the timeline provided herein.

The biological mother’s assertion the injuries depicted exist due to abuse by Ronald Cummings is false and unsubstantiated, made recklessly without any effort to obtain all relevant information. The result has been the slander and libel of Ronald Cummings.

Allegation II Injuries to Ronald Cummings, Jr. on the Leg

Ronald Cummings is without knowledge of this injury. The photo submitted by the biological mother in no way indicates how the scratch occurred, and it is certainly consistent with a bicycle or playground accident, and seems plainly inconsistent with an intentional injury.

Credibility of Biological Mother

In addition to the false allegations regarding the photos of Haleigh Cummings, referenced in Allegation I in this release, additional serious credibility problems exist relating to the biological mother.

The biological mother, Crystal Sheffield, previously made false accusations about alleged violence by Ronald Cummings in an injunction proceeding in Baker County, Florida. Ronald Cummings had legal counsel who obtained a dismissal by the presiding judge in open court because of the lack of credibility of the mother.

The biological mother, Crystal Sheffield, also knowingly made a false police report about a vehicle which she claimed was stolen. This was widely reported by national media and occurred in Putnam County, Florida.

In conclusion, the timeline and photos leave no doubt as to the cause, nature, and severity of the injuries to Haleigh regarding the events of November 2008.

As mentioned earlier, these accusations were made recklessly without any effort to obtain all relevant information. Instead, Crystal Sheffield and her attorney sensationalized the allegations when they appeared on various TV shows.

Most importantly, the focus has been taken off the search for Haleigh by this tawdry and inexcusable publicity stunt.

I have something I want to say even though I can see that it seems to be a subject that has been dropped in here, I still need to address something about it.

There was a problem in here yesterday concerning everyone exchanging emails and some didn’t think it was such a great idea. Personally I think it is a good idea but my opinion doesn’t count here. I think if someone’s heart is telling them not to do so then they shouldn’t.

For the new ones in here, I will say, this is no club, where you have to become a member. The group in here that have been around for sometime now feel they know each other well enough to echange their emails so they can talk privately. Sometimes we have people come in here complaining about the subject matter being discussed being off topic so this way if they want to talk privately they can. I have no problem with off topic discussions in here either

There is also no King or Queen here. I can not stress this enough when I say that the decision’s Simon and I make are our own, and are NOT influenced by anyone else in here. We go by what we see in the comments here so if you don’t want to be misunderstood during a disagreement make sure you think about it before you say the wrong thing to someone in here.

We just want everyone to get along, honestly. No more fighting PLEASE Everything has been going so good in here and I still think we have a great group in here with good hearts that care mainly about the original reason that brought us all together.

OK so now that it has all been settled can we all just move on and not bring it back up again?

Terisa - I tried to find the interview with Crystal. It was one of those blah blah blah things. At one point she said the court papers were mailed to her at the wrong address. Then she said when she went to court, no one listened to her.

Ron has a record too. But he showed that he could financially support the chilren. He makes $15 an hour. She is about $4,000 behind on child support. She is supposed to pay about $350 per month.

Dakdude - that is right. Yes, they had a hearing on that. The reason for not releasing they didn’t want any leaks. They were talking about bones and Casey sat there fat, dumb and happy.

The Florida Sunshine Law makes whatever is released to the defense a part of public record, thereby making it available to the public.

It makes my blood boil to hear Baez and the Anthony’s blame the media, LE, the prosecution and Zanny for every single thing brought on by Casey. She is the one to blame for everything. The whole tangled web was spun by Casey. How can anyone dare blame the media for reporting the news? That’s their job. At least they are all employed, unlike the Anthony’s.

morning all, i watched ng last night and was horrified about another child takken from a trailer park!!! i was reminded of what picles said about the anaversary killer, and all the sex offenders living inn her area!! that should not be allowed unless they are all in one spot and can be monitered..you here le say they have them on the gps trackers, well in my opinon its bs, we have family members on thoes and guess what they talk about how the fool le by sneaking out where there is a will there is a way, you can beat anything if you try hard enough, also with all of them living so close im sure some know one another and guess what if they get together what are theey gonna talk about!!! sex with children, its the same if you put drug addicts together they talk about drugs and getting high, go visit a jail one and youl see what i mean, i live in town with a security hospital, violent offenders are sent here the consolidation i have is if they escape they usually try and get out of town, that alfonso rodrigus was sent here(dru sojdin) he was out on a pass when he abducted a gal from our mall, she was found alive but they still released that monster to socity and poor dru was kidnaped and murdered!!!! these type of people do not reabilitate and they are taking chances with our children everytime they are set free, and then to allow so many in one area????? just like little haleigh….we have 1 in our town level 3(most likelty to reoffend) i went to our town meeting..le says a good story but they dont tell all, this man was released to his mothers house 6 day cares on the block, he had held his parents hostage at one time, his mother said she wouldnt let him have acces to a vehicle, oh i feel safe, all he has to do is overpower her again..the state attorney didnt feel he was a threat…i drive and pick up my child always, i know where she is at at all times(i hope) after watching ng last night the little girl left one friend and went to another i told my daughter this is why you call when you leave to go somewhere else…its a sad day our children dont have the freedom to be kids anymore…preditors all over!!!

Up and down the road all the time, my grandmother lived about a mile from us down a dirt road and i would walk all by my self to her housr stay and then walk back, but as a child i was aware if isaw a car comming i would jump in the wood’s and hide untill it got passed and gone,im lucky i know looking back! Just static, you said that you “don’t see the jail caving in to the Ants request.” I sure hope not. What scares me is that I didn’t think the jail would cave to Bozo’s request to bring his laptop into the jail when no one else had ever been allowed to. But lo and behold they gave him permission AND allowed all other lawyers to do the same - saying that the request had been made by many others for a long time.

So it worries me a bit that the jail could cave on this for reasons we don’t know about.

I see no way that the denial of this private family meeting in jail would gain sympathy for KC. As someone noted…she has had nine months to mourn the loss of her child…and she didn’t show a lot of concern during the first 31 days…and I think that weighs a lot heavier on the potential jurors than an accused murder not getting the chance to mourn their potential victim.

About M taking a deal. I think that would require her to admit some level of responsibility and she’s already vowed several times that no one’s going to make her confess.

There are a dozen billboards local businesses donated that feature messages to help find Caylee Anthony. The donated billboard and donations from an exotic car dealer of $200,000 for a reward leading to Caylee’s safe return are the work of The Never Lose Hope Foundation. It registered as a corporation in Florida just a year ago.

The foundation uses a reverse 911-type technology to allow relatives of missing kids, like Caylee’s grandfather, to send recorded messages to thousands of residents at once appealing for tips.

“I really wanted to help the family. And I thought maybe we can apply something we’re already doing to this,” explained William Rivera, President, Never Lose Hope Foundation.

Even though they also run Florida’s Telemarketers’ Assocation, they say they’re not using their phone banks to raise charity donations at this point. The foundation’s website says its IRS charitable status is still pending and its president admits he has not applied with the State Division of Consumer Services for a license to solicit funds from the public.

“Are you not walking a fine line legally calling yourself a charity, yet you really don’t have the status yet?” WFTV reporter Robert Maxwell asked Rivera.

“We’ve secured a fiscal sponsorship through a charity group here in Orlando called CityLinks,” he said.

They said they’re not asking for money, but if someone does cut the group a check, CityLinks, which has its IRS charity status, will be able to process the donation.

After Eyewitness News started asking questions, the state is planning to send a letter Never Lose Hope Foundation asking what its plans are for public fundraising. Rivera hopes to have the foundation’s IRS charity status confirmed within eight weeks.

Terisa: I’m not sure that NLHF is owned by lawyers. Maybe. But if the jurisdiction it’s in requires it, NLHF does have to have a “registered agent” which is a lawyer.

CASEY ANTHONY’S ATTORNEY ASKS FOR PRIVATE HEARING BEFORE JUDGE

Jose Baez doesn’t want to tip off others about defense’s theories

Casey Anthony’s attorney, Jose Baez, doesn’t want the public to know about any defense theories that are being developed.

He filed a request for an ex-parte hearing before Orange Circuit Court Judge Stan Strickland. That means he wants to meet with the judge without prosecutors or the public present so “sensitive matters which are critical to the defense can be addressed,” according to the document filed late Monday.

In the process of investigating the case, the defense claims they will need to obtain certain records, which could be used at trial. Baez doesn’t want to prevent others from know ing about any theories.

And the items Baez is seeking cannot be obtained through normal discovery process, the legal process of prosecutors turning over investigative information about the caseStrickland or prosecutors have not responded to the request.

I worked at a Chuck E Cheese for four years. Many times, I found groups of kids that had been dropped off by parents that went shopping or drinking for hours, then came back at closing to pick up their kids, like Chucky’s is a free city park.

Other groups would bring in their own bday cakes, which is fine, but they would also sneak in fried chicken and burgers and not buy any food items from Chucky. They would not ask for paper plates and forks (which I would have gladly supplied). Instead, each kid would scoop out a hunk of cake with their hands and run all over the game area eating it with crumbs falling everywhere getting smooshed into the carpet and all over my shoes.

In my day, if I went to play with another child, their parents brought me home. If a friend came to my house, my parents took them home. When we were 12, we were allowed to bike to each others house, but there were strict rules about calling parents and specific time frames and sometimes our parents drove out looking for us to see if we were following the rules. There were five of us, and none were unaccounted for more than an hour at a time. After that hour, worry began, then calling, then searching, then frantic searching, then long talks and punishments if the reason for the delay was our fault for not following established rules.

i think every parent has diffrent rules ive noticed some of my daughters friends parents dont mind them going to the mall, im not so sure on that one kids at that age dont pay attention,but the same parents check out movies to make sure they are rated g…witch is worse??? to me the mall…kids see alot of stuff right in school…

BB is trying to cover his butt…he is the one that released all those “leaks” from the jail…this is obvious because he is the only person with all of the knowledge about what was on those jail tapes…if you think about it, there was some jail staff that took KC to the med unit…there was some jail staff that was in the med unit…there was some jail staff that might have seen BB crying…was this all the same staff?…the jail is pretty big with lots of staff, so I find it unlikely that any one of them watched KC the entire time…so who would have known about both tapes and what BB was doing on one of them…

This is a fishing expedition to attempt to get some of the staff members to say stupid things about what they might have seen, then blame the leaks on them.

He is way overstepping his boundries as investigation of leaks is the responsibility of the new sheriff.

I tried Wellbutrin, too and it didn’t work at all for me. Tried gum, made me throw up. Never tried the patch, and I am really skeptical about that new one Cymbalta (I think that is the name of it….. can produce suicidal thoughts). No way!

anyone have any ideas how to get child saftey awareness out to people?? last night the girls mom in calif seemed unaware of where her child had been, if you think about it a phone call coul d have saved all of this from hapining..why are these people targeted, its easy prey, most times(not always) you can tell wich parents pay attention to thier children and pretty much know where they are, some parents dont even know the kids friend parents, or even check things out..(is the parent home, do they allow drinking, lots of trafic) just simple stuff..i would like to see parents get ideas on how to keep thier child safe..you can never have enough ideas on that..i dont know just wondering…hm..

anna - Parents have to want to, they have to see the need for it. It is difficult for me to understand that a truly caring parent would not learn safety things or know them already.
I think the basic problem is even caring - or taking the time or paying attention (back to caring again).

Tori, I am sure you are right and that they did set the date. I think it was just one hearing quite a while back where Hosebag was suggesting such a ridiculously unrealistic early date that the prosecution objected to it and suggested later in the year (like Fall) because they knew perfectly well he wasn’t going to be ready by the time he had said.
And then the judge set a date - whether it was the same hearing ( and I didn’t catch that part) or later I’m not sure.

She’ll call & say ‘I have a dr appt at 1 tommorrow can you take me’, sure, she’s pulled this now several times. Get there, hurry to the dr & lo & behold no appt, lol, she acts all mad at the dr, so guess where she wants to go then She knows you can’t get mad at her, she gets her way.

Are you thinking of the interview at Universal?
That was the day that Maggot dragged the cops around to all those fictional places lying all the way - Sawgrass Apts where Zanny was supposed to live and Universal where she told cops she had a job. Halfway down a hall she stopped abruptly and admitted she did not work there. So the cops took her into a nearby meeting room and talked to her. It was more informal I think. They explained that it was just a conversation; she agreed to it. They gave her yet another chance to tell the truth after lying so much all day.
The only way I think it would matter at all that she did not have a lawyer is if the state wants to use what she said in court.
I really don’t think the state needs that testimony. The cops can testify to her draggng them around and telling lies.
So personally I don’t think they needed to and probably it won’t matter or be needed in court. But it’s a good point that might well become an issue to be argued between state and defense later on.

I forgot to mention this before, but I’m not surprised at all that the “Sham Wow” (Pow) guy would pull a stunt like this–something about him has always struck me wrong (pun intended). Spacely, your spin on his advertising name made me lmbo; thanks. It looks like it may get lots of mileage on here, lol.
