From what I can gather, the figure being tossed around is $3.29-$3.3 billion dollars. Those figures were released December 2008. And just in case you were wondering just how much IS a billion dollars, have a look at this. The energy Minister, Tony Clement, said the deal was contingent on GM, Ford and Chrysler working together with parts suppliers and unions for a long-term solution for their industry. I wonder if that included a provision to NOT close any plants or lay off workers.
Now, fast forward to march 2009 3 months later. Chrysler LLC has warned that it could close its plants in Canada unless it gets enough concessions from its workers, along with government aid and resolution of a tax dispute. Chrysler Canada is involved in a dispute with the federal government over up to $1 billion in back taxes due to a reassessment by the Canada Revenue Agency. Which basically means they were trying to screw us out of the tax money AND asking for bail out help too. Chrysler has asked for about $2.8 billion in aid from the Ontario and federal governments. Now I’m sorry but I have to ask the question here. Is that ON TOP of what they got as part of the bail out program. Or why kid ourselves, their welfare check? And while we are on the subject of welfare, let’s have a look at some of the salaries and bonuses behind the scenes.
You might be interested in this story, pay up or die. Is that us? Well, believe it or not, it is. There is only 1, yes one, taxpayer in this Country, and it is me and you. So when they are asking for Government dollars to “bail” them out, they are asking us. Only we don’t get a say. The “current” government does. Now I myself am glad the we have Mr. Harper as PM at a time like this, however, it still stinks that the big 3 have the balls to Blackmail my government, which means they are trying to blackmail me. Now please no letters from you HRC watch dogs hungry for a racist remark, that is a commonly used term, get off your high horse. I have an aversion to being blackmailed, as I suspect do most people. Essentially they are saying, give us more money or we will close up shop and lay off thousands of people. Oh, and thanks for that other money, yeah. We gave that as bonuses to our elite CEO’s and you know, the like.
I wonder how many entrepreneurs and small family businesses have received bailouts from the federal government lately? 0. That’s what I thought. So then why are we throwing good money after bad? If they cannot produce a product in today’s world that is affordable to consumers and make a profit, I’ll let you in on a secret. Can’t take the heat? GET OUT of the KITCHEN! I have enough trouble feeding my family as it is without having to feed theirs too. Please sign this petition and help stop the insanity.

I am tired of these auto industry thieves masquerading as important business men. They wouldn’t be employable in any other business with that attitude.
