I’ve been watching apocalyptical amounts of television lately, but that’s mainly because the first two rounds of March Madness have just concluded. Outside of this special time of year, I don’t watch a whole lot of television. I have some shows I watch every week, such as Gossip Girl, One Tree Hill, Trust Me, 30 Rock and The College Humor Show. They might not all be the manliest shows out there, but I’m okay with it. I know for a fact there’s one show which is on the can’t-miss list for a lot of younger kids and now that show is out on DVD once more and it’s ready on DVD right now.
Starting this March 31st, now available on DVD from Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment comes the next collection of episodes from the life of everyone’s best known pop princess with a secret identity. Hannah Montana – Keeping It Real is ready to blast off into your living room with a great look at adventures and some fantastic guest stars in this collection of episodes. Bring this great DVD home today!
Miley Stewart is a down home country gal, but she’s also megastar singer Hannah Montana and none of her friends know it. Now she’s struggling to stay true to both of her sides. One side lives the Hollywood life and has all the great perks that come along with that. But the other side likes the country life and is struggling to get her drivers license. So whether it’s chasing some famous hotties or dealing with a tough driving instructor, both Miley and Hannah learn to stay true to who you really are. Some of the guest stars in this collection of episodes include Corbin Bleu and Dwayne Johnson.
The special features included on this DVD are an entire bonus episode, “Ready, Set, Don’t Drive†and a look at the makeover that gave Hannah Montana a whole new look.
It’s still hilarious to think that Dwayne Johnson went from being one of the most famous fake wrestlers of our time to a big movie star known mostly for family friendly Disney films. That’s just magnificent. Now I’m not a fan of Hannah Montana, something I’ve made known in other reviews of her appearances in other movies. Nonetheless, this show has certainly stumbled upon success and does it very well. Good lessons are taught and there is humor and certainly some very important issues are at least touched upon. Although, to be honest, I have never seen a group of teens so completely unaware of drinking and drugs and sex. At least a little honesty in regards to those issues would be nice from this show. But if your kids love this show, they’ll certainly feel the same about this DVD.
If you like it to start with, this movie’s Real enjoyable.
This DVD is available at Amazon.com.

Follow-up comment rss or Leave a TrackbackMy grandaughters, ages 5 and 7, love Hannah Montana. All I can say is Thank You to Disney for your noted absence of “drinking, drugs, and sex”.
Okay, I admit it. I have no kids or grand kids. I am 53 and my husband is 59. Both of us watch Hannah Montana episodes and love the show. Miley Cyrus is one of the most talented young stars to come along in decades. I can’t wait to see how her career advances as she grows up. Her voice and music just keep getting better and add her comic acting talents to that and she is totally amazing. I grew up with the happy sitcoms of the 50′s and 60′s. Miley is today’s Lucille Ball or Carol Burnett. This show is such a pleasant escape from all of today’s stupid reality shows and misery. Even the news and weather stations focus on sensationalism and tragedy. Billy Ray is great on the show too! Thanks to Disney and Hannah Montana for providing us with some much needed laughs.
