ORLANDO, Fla. – Celebrity Bounty Hunter Leonard Padilla is interested in purchasing the land up for sale where the remains of 2-year-old Caylee Anthony were discovered in December.

The asking price for the land is almost $90,000.

Detectives interviewed Shirley Plesea, Casey Anthony’s grandmother, in August, new records show.

Plesea told investigators that the first time Casey Anthony stole money from her was on Caylee’s second birthday and the $54 paid for the toddler’s birthday party.

Casey Anthony took a check from her grandmother’s purse while she stayed overnight at the family’s home on Hopespring Drive in August 2007, the documents show.

Plesea didn’t realize the check was missing until a few days later.

Plesea found out her granddaughter stole the check after she went to the Mount Dora police.

She told investigators that the money paid for Caylee’s Mexican-themed 2nd birthday party. She used the stolen check to pay for $54 at Publix for birthday party decorations and cake.

“She was buying the birthday stuff and evidently she needed the extra money,” Plesea said. “And instead of asking grandma for some more money…[She] took the check. I would have gladly given her some money.”

Plesea told detectives she was mad at her granddaughter, but forgave her. Casey Anthony apologized to her grandmother.

Plesea, who is Cindy Anthony’s mother, told investigators Cindy Anthony’s behavior and changing stories were caused by denial.

“She’s out of control for one reason. If she doesn’t believe Casey than Caylee’s dead,” Plesea said. “If she could not believe Casey, believe in Casey, she’d have to accept the fact that …Caylee might be dead, or would be dead, or whatever.”

The interview was included in about 300 pages of documents related to its case against Casey Anthony that the State Attorney’s Office just released.

The documents also include a transcribed interview with private investigator Dominic Casey, who worked for the Anthony family and for Casey Anthony’s defense attorney, Jose Baez.

Anthony’s defense team has already received the documents.

Crittenden on Casey Anthony: Crittenden said Casey Anthony did visit her mother at Gentiva. He told investigators that he had seen Casey Anthony in a uniform but wasn’t sure her name tag indicated where she was employed. At times, Crittenden said Casey Anthony would drop off Caylee there, and the toddler would leave with her grandmother.

Crittenden on Caylee Disappearance: Crittenden said another employee told him of an argument on Father’s Day near the time when Caylee disappeared. He said Cindy Anthony was unable to reach Casey Anthony on the phone very often but had shared text messages with Casey. Crittenden said when Cindy Anthony would ask to speak to Caylee, Casey would always make an excuse, such as Caylee was sleeping or with the babysitter or not available. Crittenden said Cindy Anthony knew it didn’t seem right but didn’t really want to get involved.

Among the documents released is the transcript of detectives interviewing the Anthonys’ private investigator, Dominic Casey, who was recorded on video looking in the area where Caylee’s remains were found one month later.

The sheriff’s also released more crime scene reports and evidence forms as well as transcripts with a man whose wallet happened to be found in the remains area and a transcript of an interview with a friend who smoked marijuana with Casey.

An investigative report analyzing the cellular records of Casey Anthony and her boyfriend, Anthony Lazzaro, reveals a text message sent by Casey that reads, “There was definitely part of a dead animal plastered to the frame of my car.” The investigative report comments that text “was believed to possibly be a pre-emptive explanation to the foul smell of decomposing tissue.”

I don’t agree with naming schools or streets after Caylee.
She didn’t go to that school and aside from being ditched like garbage in that lot, she didn’t play there.

Sad to say, we can’t start naming streets, etc after murdered children, or we might run out of streets.

The fact that Padilla has shown interest in this property really annoys me. He is just an attention whore and should just stick to hunting down whatever he hunts. I’m still vague on exactly what he does other than stir up trouble with his rumors, that he says are “facts”. WHO’s facts?

If he owned this property, he would probably somehow make money from it. He might set up a stand to take pictures with him holding a Caylee pic, ala, Santa Claus. Remember at the lake, where he swore she was, he stood with people and had pictures taken. Again.. Santa pics?

If I were to buy that property, I would leave many trees and place benches in different places. Perhaps some small figures (donated by sculptors?) of children in various modes of play.

A serene place to sit and think. Not a noisy playground, but a respite from everyday chaos.

That place needs to be free from profit, free from media, free from anyone without a peaceful heart.

If she shifted her focus to the closest mirror, she would find the one resposible for Caylee’s death.

Elaine, I agree LP has self-serving reasons for everything he does, he should keep out of the Caylee case as all he has ever done is mess it up. She should never have been bailed out in the first place.

After listening to the COBRA monologue regarding his “drinking sweet tea” with Ron, it reinforces my first thoughts that we have another Leonard Padilla on the scene.

I plead with media not to push these attention seekers on the public. Their “bombshells” are full of “things I can’t say, its confidential” and how THEY, not the police will solve this case. And solve it quickly! Gimme a break!

This Cummings case is following quickly into the Anthony Syndrome. Everyone is now getting “pro bono” lawyers and getting new outfits and hairdos and favorite psychics.

Gee, who ever thought there were so many lawyers out there with big hearts,who didn’t want to get paid?

I have said many times, I do not give heed to “experts” or tv shows or psychics or bounty hunters, who are all looking to make the almighty buck on the backs of these murdered children.

OK, i’m blind from reading grandma’s statement… I bet she’d be on Caylee’s side of the courthouse… Yeah, Dak… It scares the crap out of you because kids are so resiliant but also the simple stuff can cause the biggest problems… From experiencing a similsr facial bruising on my kids face personally i’m going to hold judgement on the child abuse..

I completely agree that facial bruising can be caused by stuff other than abuse and that bruises change color and can look worse over time.

But from the pics you saw and the other pics of the “stick” wounds (which I again agree can come from something like a table, but he seems to have an awful lot of them), do you think there is enough to warrent an investigation by DCF just to insure it is not abuse?

NG seems to think there should not even be an investigation, but to me, the time line is screwy and the thing about the cat scan really bothers me.

It’s up to 273… Space… I think since the pot is stirred there should be an investigation… The pics on Jr. looked like the same bruise or 2 over and over from different angles… I said before my girls are 11 now and still look like rotten bananas from all their bruises… None of the authorities in the case that saw Haleigh thought there was cause to be concerned… The thing with the cat-scan is to double check… I heard of a little girl getting hit in the nose with a soccer ball and there wasn’t a big deal until that nite when the blood clot or whatever that had formed burst and she ended up in the ER… Nobody knew about it… I fell and fractured the nubby on my elbow and went to the ER and they said it was just a bad bruise and then since it kept hurting i went to my regular doc and they saw the fracture… The ER doesn’t always catch everything and since she came back in looking so bad they might have just wanted to rule anything out for her sake and to cover their a$$ incase they missed something…

i don’t know that the awareness is out there… I think it was CA that got in trouble by myspace for sending out to her friends list…

However, Bmore is correct that perhaps the “stick” marks are all the same 2 bruises from a bunch of angles. There is a lot of spin from both sides in this case, so you to to judge for yourself.

11/12/08 – Haleigh ends up in the ER with E Coli, but also has facial injuries severe enough for the ER to do a Cat Scan – this is 6 days after falling off the monkey bars…how severe must the original injuries have been if this is the aftermath of the fall…and if they were that bad, why did the school not send her to the ER then?

11/16/08 – A pic gets taken on the 16th of injuries that are probably from the 12th healing, but there is a big cut on her chin too – wouldn’t the school or the ER have noted a cut to the chin as well?

I am not saying it is abuse, but it certainly does not all add up…so it seems like something that should be looked at…and then you consider the other pics with the belt or stick bruises…

yes and doctors have the responsibilty to report anything unusal on a child. physical or otherwise.

I tripped my cousin on the play ground once and he fell hard and one side of his face like literally the whole side was one big scab black and blue bruise from forehead to chin and the thing about black eyes and bruises is sometimes they take several hours to form…like a sunburn you dont notice till way later…so I dont know..the bruises on the arms and the legs could of been Haleigh hitting JR. with a stick and she blamed it on Daddy in fear of Mommy getting mad at her…who knows.

it just seems weird that he’d beat the kids when one goes to the dr all the time… That would be a quick way to get caught… They apparently don’t act like they’re abused… I think it would be alot more fun to beat on Misty anyway… At least there would be a challenge to it… Maybe even knock some sence into her… Well then again maybe not..

I made my daughters day…she has a big ol plastic Little Tykes Kitchen and it was on the back deck for the summer time outside and I brought it and and scrubbed it down and its in her room now..she is cooking mommy ice-cream and coffee

my ex- sister in law is a very sweet woman… Her and my ex’s bro still come by to hang with me and my girls… they can’t have kids… went through all the fertility stuff and all and it just wasn’t in the cards for them… they are very religious but still cool and down to earth… Very well off too… They have the means to care for a child in everyway possible, enviroment-emotional-physical-etc… but there are people that don’t even want kids that have them and they fall through the cracks… shame

E-coli bacteria comes from the intestinal tract and is normally transmitted when hands are not washed after bathroom use. This explains that part for Haleigh followers. The person who prepares the food apparently did not have clean hands therefore, they would not insist on a child washing their hands before eating. This is common filth, no other way around that. EAting outside had nothing to do with that part, and if they don’t wash hands for any other reason, surely they would not wash hands after handling a pup. Some folks need a lesson in hygeine.

Salmonella is the poisoning that you get from bad food or meat, not E-coli. Ptomaine is another poison from decrepit food.

If they want to do something personal for caylee…someone suggested caylees place…or how about a law against mothers OR FATHERS…who DON’T REPORT A MISSING CHILD AFTER A CERTAIN AMOUNT OF REASONABLE TIME?

We know for a fact that C was seriously worried about Caylee’s well being on July 3 & still she did NOTHING for another couple of weeks. It was only after they brought the death car home & then C finished her shift at work that they figured maybe they should do more than just send wimpy text messages to the sociopath who snatched Caylee from their grasp.

I am starting to believe that misty really was home…but something went terribly wrong ….in that house…and she did something to haleigh and whoever was there…took that baby out of that house to cover for her!

Misty’s home cheating on Ron, Haleigh wakes up and sees Misty and boyfriend together. Nowing that Haleigh is old enough to tell ron, Misty and boyfriend panic and silence Haleigh. Wrap her up in a blanket and use the Van to dispose of the body. Perhaps even scratching the van as they backed up to the back door ramp to load the body into the car.

This leaves Ronald 100% innocent.

If Crystal and her lawyer can prove these abuse charges and prove that Ron is that bad of a person and prove that Crystal was truly scared of him then if it comes out she took Haleigh to protect her…she may just get a slap on the wrist…Mothers do strange things to protect there kids…I dont trust her..

I dont trust Misty either..or Ron none of them..Haleigh didnt have one clean and norml person in her life to protect her..not one..she was left in the care of a 17 year old girl who had no means of protecting the house or them kids…she was left with a drugged out tweenager her father should of found a more suitable aged woman to tend to his house and kids…Haleigh may of payed with her life I dont trust none of them…Just cus Ron loved Haleigh dont mean he made good choices…lots of tweekers kids are happy….I dont trust none of them poor Haleigh….

Not really about “forgeting to report the child” it’s about what the consequences will be to them. They never “forget” to report…it’s getting away with it that needs to STOP. Not reporting is a sign of guilt. If maggott didn’t do that, and she did report her missing early on …the whole case may have ended up different. They could have found caylee with more evidence on her body..but maggot waited so the evidence would rot away and they wouldn’t know how she killed poor caylee…THAT’S GOT TO STOP!

ONE CASE is enough for a law in Caylees name. The unusual circumstances, the cruelty her behaviour and actions and premeditated duct tape and heart sticker…she should never of had bail in the first place. She should of been locked up for “leading her own investigation” she’s hardly qualified….especially since we know she did it! But even if LE didn’t think a parent had done something…they should still be put in jail if they don’t report the child missing..

Yes she was put in jail for child neglect and child endangerment…BUT she was still given the opportunity, even after not reporting her missing AT ALL…until someone else did after 31 day, to get out on bail, that’s what is wrong!

CA – I agree partly because anyone who does not report a child missing is HIGHLY suspicious – and probably involved in the disappearance. And if they get out they’ll just cover their tracks even more or disappear themselves. So – like a murder charge – this one should not have bail either.

I believe the neglect and child endangerment charges were swapped for the murder charge later. But she’s still charged with lying to police (several charges for that)!

That’s right, Beast. I wish the way it worked was that she’d be tried and convicted on the theft and fraud and thrown into gen pop for that to wait for her murder trial instead of being pampered like she is.

KISSIMMEE — Orange County prosecutors dropped the child neglect charge against Caylee Anthony’s mother Tuesday.

The State Attorney’s Office said there was no reason to pursue the child neglect charge, since Casey Anthony was indicted for murder and child abuse.

The child neglect charge was based on the assumption the missing 3-year-old was still alive. The state attorney said in a statement that the evidence clearly showed Caylee is dead.

Casey is also charged with aggravated manslaughter and four counts of lying to investigators.

Too much confusion. very hard to dig through and figure out what is the truth. Did Misty call Ron at work? If so , did she actually speak to him? If so, he would not be surprised to see her when he got home. Maybe she tried but didnt connect? Is THAT what she said(meant). The scratch on the van, is it relevant? Did Ron marry Misty just to play her and keep her around?

I think Ron married Ditzy in order to avoid criminal charges. There is no need for him to “keep her around.” Her involvement with a missing child – the last one to see her – is enough to make the cops keep her around (the old “don’t leave town” thing). Maybe Ron wants to keep her close to interrogate her but he could have done that without marrying her – except for those pesky laws about statutory rape/pedophilia etc. He very neatly sidestepped becoming a registered sex offender by marrying her and I think that’s why he did it.

CA – I’m not following – what did they put in there because Caylee wasn’t found yet? I don’t think it was any charge having to do with murder. That came with the Grand Jury indictment didn’t it? ATSUMA, Fla. — Sitting in the driveway of Misty Cummings former home is a van driven by her sister-in-law. The light blue vehicle doesn’t look like anything out of the ordinary, but it was something investigators thought important enough to impound and analyze at their crime lab for weeks.

The woman who drives that van is Misty Cummings sister-in-law, Chelsea Croslin. Misty was the last person to see Haleigh the night she was taken. Chelsea said the family got the van back just before the weekend.

“They put a lot of tape on it, and there was a lot of white powder on the windows, I guess that’s just to check things,” said Chelsea.

“We all started thinking about what could have happened that night…I realized the van was in a different spot.”

Chelsea Croslin said the night Haleigh disappeared, a family member was staying with them. She says around 4 a.m., when Misty called them to tell them Haleigh was missing, they went outside to the van to drive to Haleigh’s home. Chelsea said she immediately noticed the van was not in the same spot she left it.

“I know I don’t park like that, and I was the last to drive the van.”

After a few hours, another sign the van was tampered with appeared.

“The day Haleigh went missing, everyone was looking for her…she (Misty) called me later that night and said ‘Chelsea, please tell me you’re the one who put the scratch in my van.’ I started crying and told her there’s no way I put the scratch in her van,” said Chelsea.

A scratch leading from just behind the driver’s side door handle to the back tire is very visible. Chelsea said that scratch was not there the last time she drove it.

“The scratch—it runs all the way down the van. That’s something someone would know if you’re riding against something and steadily scratching it.”

All police would say about the van being impounded is that it was taken to the FDLE’s crime lab in Jacksonville, analyzed, then released. They would not comment on any specifics of what was searched or if anything was found in the van.

Chelsea Croslin believes the only explanation is that at some point during the night Haleigh was taken, the family member staying with her took the van. Police said they have tracked that man down and questioned him. They also said he has not been ruled out as a suspect.

“I’m not accusing anybody…it’s just me being a mom and believing what I believe and piecing things together. I almost feel like I might know who it is,” said Chelsea.

The point about going to NY for the interview is that they would have crossed state lines which is another criminal charge in addition to the ones he was subject to in Florida.

CA – She might well still be charged with the “old” charge of aggravated manslaughter as well as now being charged with first degree murder. I guess it’s up to the prosecution what charge(s) to go with. I think they can change them anytime (like even decide to go for DP if they want some time down the line).

I think the worst punishment for Casey will be to live. For someone as into themselves as Casey is to be in prison for the rest of her life and having nothing to do except realize she murdered the one person who loved her unconditionally is far worse than the death penalty.
Until we’re able to put murderers to death in the same way they put their victims to death, then the death penalty is not justice. Casey will soon be begging to be 6 feet under.
I heard the family didn’t visit Casey on her b.day and although Casey is their daughter, they need to stop visiting her altogether and try to salvage what’s left of their lives.

WOW!! Reading back. Looks like I missed the Saturday Nite Fights!! Just as well. People like that are a huge waste of time. They just come in to ruffle feathers and shiit on people.

Will Haleighs story be like Natalie Holloway? Never being found?? Unless Crystal has her in hiding….where could she be? Of course we know Natalie is most likely weighted down and laying on the ocean floor. I’m not sure we will ever get the answers. BUT I still think Misty holds the key to what happened to sweet Haleigh. We all know she was afraid of the dark so she wouldn’t walk out on her own and someone knew the back door would not stay open so brought a brick or cinder block. I still think this is an inside job and Misty in very, very involved.

OK so TJ HEART is credible…cobra remains to be seen, so maybe heart will give us a little insight on this guy!

one thing that gave me that sick feeling was when i read that cobra had an ANNONYMOUS (SP) DONOR and he would stay until the money ran out..

these donors are creepy…like the big secret on the donor who bailed maggot out of jail…

This year will be a very important in the life of Casey Athony – article above.

Her first Christmas in jail, her first Velentine’s Day in jail, first St. Patricks Day in jail, her first birthday in jail, and on it goes.

I do HOPE reality and truth are finally settling into that very warped “mind” of hers. Mind??? What a joke that is! Caylee didn’t celebrate them either, she had no CHOICE, CMA did – and she made it.

CMA probably wrote 2003 at the top of that page in her Diary after the murder. We do know she was fooling around with her Diary … ripped out many pages, etc. Always the slick one, manipulating everything, and everybody. Trying, as usual to “get over”. She thinks she made the right decision … she hopes … sure sounds like 2008 to me.

People come in and out of her life all the time. She doesn’t WEAR WELL – can’t with her lying, stealing, cheating, manipulative – deceiving ways. WHO wants/need that? Once they are “onto her” … BYE CMA!
