Satsuma Florida- The father of Haleigh Cummings, Ron wants focus to be taken off of him and his personal life. He wants focus re-directed back onto his daughter Haleigh. Ron feels that the media has been focusing on him and his past record and allegations that he is a abuser and a drug user.
Ron and his new wife Misty went to New York this morning to do an interview for the Today Show. Ron and Misty blasted the media for keeping the focus on him and his life. He believes that investigators are doing a good job in there search for Haleigh. Ron and Misty both feel that the media has painted Ron in a bad light due to the allegations from Crystal and her mother Marie.
Haleigh went missing on February 10th during the early morning hours. Misty was the last adult to have any contact with Haleigh before she disappeared. Misty has been questioned numerous times about what happened the night Haleigh went missing. Misty has claimed that she put Haleigh and Jr. to bed at 8pm and stayed up to do some laundry and then went to bed herself at 10pm. Misty says she awoke at 3am to use the toilet when she noticed the kitchen light was on. She says she got up to check on the light and realized the back door was open with the screen propped open by bricks. She says that she then ran back to the room to call Ron at work and realized then that Haleigh was gone.
Crystal Sheffield came forward after Haleigh’s disappearance and said that Jr. Haleigh’s younger brother told her that a man in black took Haleigh that night. All of the adults involved in this investigation have been required to give polygraph tests. They have all been asked to give DNA samples also. Investigators brought in cadaver dogs to aid in the ground search for Haleigh. It produced nothing. Investigators have had thousands of tips come in regarding Haleigh and her disappearance many of them from psychics. Investigators were following false leads up the First Coast and across state lines into Tennesssee. Investigators recently searched US 17 about 30 feet off on each side. Putnam County investigators have told Haleigh’s grandmother Marie that they have nothing. Investigators have been very tight lipped about there investigation and any results of the polygraph tests. They have yet to comment on Jr.’s claim that a man in black took Haleigh.

Tracy, why don’t you try to put yourself in Misty’s place? This sweet, young (not perfect) individual gets up during the night and finds Haleigh missing! She finds the back screen door held open with a block. At that point, can you even begin to imagine the worry that consumes her? She stated that they were all sleeping together and just because Haleigh’s bed is a few feet from the other bed doesn’t change that fact. THEY WERE ALL SLEEPING TOGETHER. Thank God Ronald is not blaming Misty for this happening on her watch. We should be thankful they have each other during this tragic time. They’ve loved each other for awhile and they certainly didn’t have an elaborate wedding. It was a simple exchange of vows that should now shut the mouths of those bitching about their living together. Ron did the right thing for his women regardless of her age. So please, in the name of Jesus, give this grieving family a break.
I agree with Tracy, I think Misty got pissed at Haleigh for wetting the bed and pushed her or she fell and hit her head and she panicked, and she was stoned and called someone to come get her. I think Ronald and misty is doing for publicity and they know where she is. and they hope for financial gain and then Haleigh will come back.

posted , first of all , there are two back doors on the back of the mobile home the outside door is a metal or aluminum screen Door which locks ,
the inside door has two locks, a dead bolt & regular knob . that also locks,
In order for anyone to enter or leave the doors had to be unlocked, period
now ,,, according to Ron he always kept those doors LOCKED>we dont know maybe Ron put the block there to make it look like an abductionwhen he came home from work he was pulling in the drive way @ 3:am they called 9:11 @ 3:37 am?
Misty said she slept in the same bed as Haleigh , her story changed she said Haleigh was in her own bed that Jr was sleeping with Misty ,
if there was an intruder he or she would have had to pass by the bed Misty was in & turn right to get in to Haleigh’s bed room. as I believe I seen on T.V did you hear Haleighs Inhaler was missing as well?

Luck was certainly on the side of the abductor that night.
He goes up to the door with a brick intending to prop door open after he jimmies screen AND door. But WOW! Doors aren’t locked! Kinda dark in here “I’ll turn a light on”. Now… where is Haleigh. Searches and to his dismay they are all sleeping together. She is on a mattress on floor, which is really difficult to lean over and get her without waking anyone up (or pulling his back out of whack). But, he does and just strolls back out.

I have one question, who in there right mind would turn on the kitchen light? If I were to break into a home, or try to abduct someones child why would I turn on a light that shines on me entering and shines on me exiting? The light in my eyes is the evidence that this was not some random person, the intruder would have to walk all the way through the mobile home with the light on, then walk back through with the possibility of being seen on the way out by neighbors, I believe in every neighborhood there is at least one person who is up until early in the morning so no one saw anything no one noticed someone propping open the back door, and also who could hear a brick hitting metal? Does not matter who was involved, or who took her the main focus should be bringing this little girl back.

But if the media were to examine every detail and then twist it and turn it into ugliness, I’ve committed enough foolish acts to give everyone plenty of fodder. Misty made the comment that this is what Hayliegh wanted. Hayliegh is 5 years old and the story is the Ron and Misty have been together for 4 years. My math tells me that Misty was 13 when Ron and her started seeing each other. But Hayliegh has a younger brother. So whats the truth here?

When Misty was on the phone with 911, she could not answer any of the questions about “their daughter”. She keeps talking about how she loves Haleigh like her own, how would she know, she don’t have her own..YET
Crystal may not be perfect but I promise you she could have given 911 the answers to some basic questions like…..oh lets see, the child’s birthdate! Father of the year could not even provide that info, instead of admitting he didn’t know, he got even more hateful. It took much longer to yell and cuss then it would have taken to just give them the answer. A bio mom knows the day, the year and even the time a child is born.
I am so sick of listening to Ron, Misty and his creepy mother throw digs at Crystal. All of them seem to take pleasure in trying to make Crystal insignificant in Haleigh’s life. I believe Crystal when she says Ron ignored the kids when they were together. He beat her and the only reason he wanted those kids was to get even with her for leaving him. Funny he won’t take drug test and Crystal has volunteered repeatedly to be tested. She was a young girl and he introduced her to drugs. She got away from him and is clean now, that speaks volumes. Crystal is STILL afraid of Ron, even now. She don’t spend her time running Ron down, she talks to reporters and she talks to Haleigh and she always tells her Mommy and Daddy love you and want you to come home. I have not heard Ron even acknowledge Crystal is her mother. Before Haleigh disappeared Ron couldn’t afford a plain gold wedding band. All those contributions come in and Misty is awarded a real nice engagement ring with some nice sized diamonds. Eating at yuppie resturants a step up from McDonald’s. He ain’t been working so where else could his new found wealth be coming from. That smile on Misty’s mug going into the court house to get a marriage license could not have been slapped off her stupid ugly face. Awful happy for a loving care taker of a missing child, much less the future stepmother.
Marriage would be the last thing on my mind if my baby was missing. Who even thinks like that. Ron, his mother and Misty are phoney as three dollar bills, all of them. He has a marriage ceremony and honeymoon in NY and Crystal has a seizure and a trip to the hospital. I ask you which parent really cares about this child. Neither of them are perfect but my money is on Crystal.
Ron if you say you want people to help you find your baby, daddy’s girl, when are you going to start looking for her????? Take time off of your honeymoon and join the search. The only thing you seem to be able to find is naive young girls to abuse and knock up. You are a pediphile and your name should be placed on the sex offenders list.
