awesome summation Nancy!! a pretty comprehensive little nutshell there...unfortunately for us, I think that [we] Catholics are waking up a little late in the Battle for they've gone and dug their trenches right under our very noses.

When I first heard of the Connecticut Bill I was deeply upset. How could someone who is a legislator be so insensitive to single out my Church as being somewhat lesser than other churches. That is exactly what they have done, whether the Bill ever passes or not.

I am struggling to hold on to my Catholic identity. Attending church and supporting my Parish. I was unaware of the rift that Nancy writes about in this article. However, I am aware of the sorrow and passion of the Lenten Season because it is the individual grace that I receive through my faith in God and the community of my Church that allows me to become the person who I am.

Typical leftist agenda. The Church is having problems- LET THE CHURCH FIX THEM!!! It is not the government's business to make ANY sort of legislation regarding religion, even if one member feels slighted. Got a problem, Mr. Gallagher? Take it to a civil court and stay out of my religion!

It is evident Satan and his minions are working overtime to steer souls away from God and His Church. The Lord warned us and advised us the consequence--Matthew 7:13-21.

Hi Nancy,
The issue truly regarding many layers. Your points are indeed a complex part of the disgruntled "Catholic" left in this battle.
Best wishes as always,
