Now that a trial date has been set for October 12, 2009 for Casey Anthony, mother of the murdered 2 year old Caylee Anthony, the prosecutors have decided not to seek the death penalty at all. The state attorney’s spokesman, Randy Means told WESH 2 News, “We are preparing for trial as charged.” So I guess all we can hope for is that she gets life in prison without chance of parole.

Meanwhile the lawyers for Zenaida Gonzalez are planning to ask a judge to force Casey Anthony to answer the list of 29 questions they gave her for the defamation lawsuit. She only answered one question out of the 29 which was the one asking her name. Keith Mitnik, Gonzalez’s attorney said, “We are fed up with Casey Anthony stonewalling.” Other than that one she answered all the others with “Upon advice and counsel of my attorney, I am invoking my Right to Remain Silent pursuant to the 5th Amendment of the United States Constitution.”

Apparently the last question that was asked was answered somewhat differently. The question was, “Were you involved in the death of Caylee?”  It was answered as “The defendant would object to the question and would move to strike it. This question is solely to embarrass, harass, and brought in an attempt to implicate the defendant in an on-going criminal prosecution for first degree murder. The question is without merit and wholly improper.” OK now this doesn’t sound to me like this was Casey answering this question. Sounds more like her sleazy lawyer’s answer.

The purpose of the questioned being presented to Anthony as written questions was to prevent her from answering them in a videotaped question and answer session with her in jail. I believe Judge Jose R. Rodriguez came up with this idea sort of like a compromise.

The defamation suit is an effort made to clear Zenaida Gonzalez’s name after Casey Anthony told the world that Zenaida Gonzalez was the person she left Caylee with when she dropped her off on her way to work and when she came back that evening to get Caylee they were all gone and she hasn’t seen Caylee since then. Casey claims this isn’t the right Zenaida but this one is the only one linked to the Sawgrass Apartments that Casey first claims she dropped her daughter at. 

Of course now that this Zenaida was found Casey has a back up story. Now she is claiming that she met with Zenaida at John Blanchard Park and Zenaida and her sister left with Caylee to teach her a lesson and they threatened her family and Caylee if she told anyone. Authorities has come to the conclusion that the whole babysitter story was just another of Casey Anthony’s many lies after some thorough investigations.

More motions have been filed which will be heard in court on March 12 at 3:30 pm EST. Casey will be required to show up again. I wonder how they will have her dressed this time. Monday’s hearing she appeared to be dressed at the sweet little innocent girl. I really wonder if they think American’s can’t see right through that scheme.

One of the motions being heard on the 12th is one filed by George and Cindy Anthony’s attorney, Brad Conway seeking to block the apparent suicide note they found in the hotel room where they claim George Anthony was considering committing suicide. He is claiming that the note was written by his client while he was distraught and it shouldn’t be made public. He argues that the contents in the note could be embarrassing to the family if it were to be released to the public. He also claims the note has no relevance to the criminal case against Casey Anthony.

I think there must be something in there that could be damaging to his daughter’s trial so they are doing their best to keep it out of the public’s eye. I guess we will have to hope Judge Stan Strickland will not block it if it does have anything to do with this case. I don’t case to see it if it doesn’t but I have my doubts because why else would they want to keep it out of the public eye.

I would really hate to see this girl walk away from this. I pray she gets life in prison and is put in with the General population in prison. I bet once she is there we won’t see the same attitude with her like she gives now acting like she is better than everyone else and she should be treated like royalty. I think it is high time they treat this girl like they treat all other prisoners. I don’t think she deserves special treatment. I don’t care who she thinks she is or who her sleazebag attorney thinks he is. They are no better than anyone else. I still pray for justice for Caylee Anthony and the only way that will happen is if her murderer (which I honestly believe is Casey Anthony) is locked up and punished for life.
