I’m back from our odyssey to Orlando and the world of duct tape. I believe I can now safely lay claim to being an expert on duct tape, although it’s not a title I would have wanted.

However, I am now more convinced than ever that there’s something unique about the tape on the gas can and the matching tape on the baby’s skull.

We went to Home Depot, Lowes, Ace Hardware, CVS Pharmacy, and Publix Grocery all in the area of Hopespring Drive, all to no avail. We saw and looked at hundreds of rolls of duct tape, none manufactured by Henkel, and none with any logo or writing of the face.

Then we went to a Walmart Super Center and finally found Henkel Duck Tape (they market their tape as “Duck Tape” not duct tape). I bought 3 rolls. One was labeled as “Utility”, one was labeled as “Professional”, and one was labeled as “Industrial”. No logo or printed matter was on the face of the tape.

Then I thought, possibly the logo and writing is placed intermittingly along the face or near the end of the roll. The girls and I unrolled all 3 rolls of tape (1980 inches). Trust me when I tell you, you haven’t experienced all that life has to offer until you unroll 2000 inches of duct tape with a 5 yr. old and a 7 yr. old. There was not a logo or any other printed matter anywhere. I looked at each inch.

I did not get a response today from yesterday’s e-mail to Henkel, so I sent another one. If I don’t get a response tomorrow, I plan to call Henkel’s U.S. headquarters.

No matter what, this tape IS NOT sold everywhere as Jose says. He is apparantly too stupid to realize what strong and damaging evidence this is against his client.

The 93-page transcript of George Anthony has been released. A reporter is reading it and will update.

George Anthony started off a bit combative with the lawyer for Zenaida Gonzalez. He did not want to go into details about what daughter Casey Anthony bought for the family house and how much money he gave her while she and her daughter Caylee lived there.

So far, George Anthony said he had never heard of Gonzalez until July of 2008. He did hear the name “Zanny” from his daughter a year prior to Caylee’s disappearance. George Anthony even corrected the way attorney Keith Mitnik pronounced “Zanny.”

I wonder if Morgan can file a motion to insist that one of M’s atty’s be present or to insist that M sign something saying it’s okay that no att’y is present. It’s a little like when M was not attending the hearings in her own criminal case and the state filed a motion asking the judge to be sure that she knew what was going on. Judge Strickland ruled that she had to attend all the hearings (in the criminal case). I’m not saying M should be present during the civil depos but one of her att’s sure should be.

Lawyers began questioning Cindy Anthony under oath around 1:30 p.m.

George Anthony finished shortly before 12:30 p.m.

Attorney John Morgan said George Anthony responded to a lot of questions but refused to answer some, including details about an incident when Casey Anthony kept him from looking into the trunk of her car and a conversation he had about the ladder on the side of their pool.

He plans to request the judge to force George Anthony to answer those questions, Morgan said.

WESH-Channel 2’s Bob Kealing noted that the Anthony family has said Casey was referring to another Zenaida Gonzalez. “We are expecting, especially this afternoon’s session, to perhaps get pretty pointed,” Kealing said. “You may remember at one point Cindy Anthony called John Morgan an ambulance chaser.”

WKMG-Channel 6’s Tiffany Tift said Cindy had been supposed to go this morning and George this afternoon. “We do not know why, but for some reason, they were switched,” Tift said. “Right now, George Anthony is in the hot seat.”

Question - who in the USA or anywhere actually believes that ANY Zenaida Gonzalez had anything to do with Caylee?

TRACY - At the family’s request and with rain showers forecast, city crews last night began dismantling the massive memorial to Sandra Cantu outside Tracy’s Orchard Estates Mobile Home Park.

Sandra’s family wants to donate the hundreds of stuffed animals, Easter baskets and toys that people have dropped off in recent days to organizations that benefit children, Tracy police said.

The Clay County Sheriff’s office and the Western Missouri Cyber Crimes Task Force held a joint press conference Wednesday, announcing charges against 40-year-old Robert Michael Black, of Independence.

At New Home Baptist Church in St. Joesph, members expressed nothing but love for Black, who is their minister. He has a wife and three children.

For two years, Black, devoted to the ministry, drove to the church twice a week from Independence.

“We have nothing but good to say about Rob,” said Dave Hurd, a deacon at New Home Baptist Church. “He’s been a very good pastor here. He’s been supportive in all that we’ve tried to do. He’s tried to grow the church.”

But police believe Black has a darker side. Deputies arrested him Wednesday night for attempted statutory rape, attempted enticement of a child, and sending porn to a minor.

“The facts in this case are disturbing,” said Clay County Sheriff Bob Boydston.

Officials say Black used a fake name on Facebook, Jon Still, to meet someone he thought was a 13-year-old girl named Ally. He had been communicating with the girl, who was really a Clay County Sheriff’s Deputy, since May of 2008, prosecutors said at the press conference. He had also asked “Ally” several times to meet him for sex.

Investigators say Black sent a nude picture and set up a meeting near a Liberty bowling alley last Thursday. Black allegedly asked the girl not to wear underwear or a bra.

Instead, Black met police. Detectives eventually linked Black to “Jon Still” through phone records.

“Still” has 135 friends on Facebook. Police say all are teenagers between 13 and 16 years old. Investigators fear there may be actual victims.

During a real trial they will not be allowed into the courtroom at all until after they have testified (unless they might be re-called) but I don’t know if the same rules apply during a depo.

I think they want their own copy so they can (1) be sure to say the same thing during M’s trial and (2) because they’re always saying that LE, the state, media etc lies about them! LOL! and (3) this is a dress rehearsal for Sindee particularly so she can be coached on how to behave and appear and speak (and when to “cry” etc) during M’s trial. The couple is being questioned in the civil case involving their daughter, Casey Anthony. Zenaida Gonzalez, a 38-year-old Kissimmee mother of six, is suing Casey Anthony for defamation.

Cindy Anthony went into the mock courtroom - the place where they are being questioned - and started to set up her a video camera herself.

Unlike other depositions, the media had to be escorted to the 16th floor, which is restricted.

George Anthony is set to be interviewed first. Cindy Anthony will follow. Both are expected to take several hours.

More than a dozen reporters and photographers are in the 16th-floor lobby – waiting to catch a glimpse of the couple.

9 a.m. Today may be a big day in Casey Anthony’s civil case.

Her parents, Cindy and George Anthony, are scheduled to be questioned under oath by attorneys representing Zenaida Gonzalez, 38, of Kissimmee, who is suing Anthony for more than $15,000 in damages.

Gonzalez claims she lost her job and suffered humiliation and public embarrassment after Anthony told investigators that a baby sitter by the same name took her 2-year-old daughter, Caylee Marie, in June.

Caylee’s body was found six months later. Anthony is charged with first-degree murder. Keith Mitnik, one of Gonzalez’s attorneys, said Cindy Anthony is a central person in the case.

The mother spoke publicly about the nanny when Casey Anthony couldn’t, he said. Questioning will take place at the Morgan & Morgan law firm in Orlando.

The surfer fellow (Josh?)was seriously injured two years before he committed suicide which was some time in 06. I’m trying to find the dates of the accident and his death.
