When Obama invited Michaelle Jean to Washington though, he was essentially inviting her spouse too, Jean-Daniel Lafond (pictured directly behind her in above photo). Since Jean became Governor General, Lafond has premiered his documentary film, "American Fugitive: The Truth about Hassan", a sympathetic portrayal of an assassin who murdered a diplomat in Washington. In the film, the alleged assassin rails against the U.S., describing it as a murderous regime and George W. Bush as a terrorist. The alleged assassin also accuses the U.S. of trying to "make American state terrorism the primary ruling doctrine of the globe." Lafond's film also advances conspiracy theories about the Carter, Reagan, and Bush Sr. administrations. Guess who's coming to dinner.
