I would have to says yes. Only because how can you put duct tape on someone and NOT leave a print?? Of course, like I said earlier..could be on the kitchen knife and/or the plastic bag. But then again I would think the prints would be on all 3. Unless she wore thin gloves, but I highly doubt that.

Or on the sticker. You would have to ‘press’ the sticker to the duct tape so that might be where the print was found.

It’s unlikely that Amy’s prints would be on the duct tape. Casey “borrowed” it back in May to use for the “everything but clothes party”. She duct-taped the flag as her outfit.

So Casey used a significant amount of it to hold up the flag. Amy contacted Casey on her facebook page and mentioned that Casey “lost” the roll of duct tape.

So the only prints on it would be from Casey.

I agree C~A. It can be something as basic as the knife found with Caylee match the Ant’s silverware. But to bring the death penalty back into play, I would think it needs to be something like prints or DNA….discluding any reasonable doubt.

Good morning to everyone by the way…

It’s complicated CA. One of the administrators of the group found out that this woman had contacted LE. LE asked that the topics be left alone so they could go through them. This “administrator” deleted topics and was removed from the group. The first time the duct tape topic was posted by this woman was when this “person” deleted them.

Whether or not LE was able to go back and recover deleted topics…I don’t know.

The main thing is that they were able to determine that Casey was in the group and that the topic of duct tape was a hot topic. This was back in July of last year.

Thankfully, the woman had copied and pasted everything for the detectives and they have credited her with this providing this vital information.

I mean, fingerprints is nothing to screw around with…ya don’t print shtuff like that unless your 100% sure…not fair to the public.

Even my doctor noticed the change in me and advised me to stay away from my computer as much as possible. He said he sees a lot of people going through exactly what I was going through. I do, however, watch Nancy Grace every night and I come in here and read bloggers comments once in a great while and that’s when I try to leave a message to let you know that I’m still around and supporting all your efforts to get justice for Caylee.

To tell you the truth that Gold Fish guy was fishy to me right from the start and it really discouraged me from reading the blog during the time he was on here, but I knew that others liked him so I simply stayed away during his time on here. I saw him brazenly flirting with our sweet Pickles and because of her being so fair and kind to everyone, I don’t really think she even noticed. But, now the blog is GREAT again!

I hate this waiting game for evidence. It will be interesting to see what comes out. The trunk evidence wasn’t very promising either.

One report says something alluding to prints and the other says none at all. I am not gonna give up hope but I wont set my hope up too high.

In fact, from everything I can find, the police themselves have not cleared anyone. The latest I can find is that the whole world is suspect until they can eliminate them one by one. And so far, I have not heard a police spokesperson eliminate anyone. Granted, I am not following this as closely as I did Caylee, but I think any being cleared would be big news.

I have heard the media state the father and gf are not suspects, but I think this was again poor media coverage based on the two’s personal statements that they passed.

It would seem that if they did not pass, they would have been questioned more, but perhaps at this time, the cops are not ready to do that for other reasons or still believe another scenario more likely.

I am personally intersted in that trail they followed in the first police report that led to the open empty building. The finding of footprints also makes me feel that perhaps she did wander away on her own, but the cops have ruled that out…so I don’t know what to think.

CA - you are correct - I just think that a lot of people read that comment about being bad for defense and took it to mean that there was a fingerprint…I was probably too harsh to say the quote itself was misleading. To be fair, here it is:

Honestly, I have no clue, other than I would personally want to get my command post as far away from KidFinders as I could.

My mind keeps coming back to the pond they focused on at first. In Florida, lots and lots of gators live in ponds and they eat small children when given a chance. In fact, the possibility seems so great to me that the cops must have concrete evidence to the contrary to have completely ruled it out. Usually, they are really quick here to focus on gators and dredge the ponds and canals for them, so to not be considering them at all…there has to be more to this case than meets our public eye.

My Haleigh theory is this.

the bio mother was butt hurt because she doesn’t have full custody of her daughter. So she hires someone who has a boat to kidnap Haleigh and escape in the boat. Which is why the scent stops at the river/water. Of course, the grandmother is involved (probably the ring leader) which is why bio mom has to always look at her to get the answers. When everything calms down, they will move to where they are hiding Haleigh. JMO all.

From minute ONE, I have thought that braindead Misty is involved in this case. Nothing so far has made me change my mind.

Everyone here agrees, I think, the police have not released any statements saying ANYONE passing a lie detector test. Actually, I don’t think you pass or fail a polygraph, I think there are degrees of truth telling that are registered.

I just wish these people who kill children would give them away when the thought comes into their heads to get rid of them. How is killing a child the only way? Are their egos so huge that they can’t admit that they can’t handle being a parent/caregivier? I know I will never understand the murder of a child.

PAW… I wish your scenario would be true. That would mean little Haleigh is safe. But, with such a high profile case, how would anyone think they could hide her for “later”? If this child is not found, the main characters will be under a microscope the rest of their lives. Where would they move? I doubt any of them have the ability to wander further than 30 miles from their own habitats.

Plus, if that scenario were true, I really think the person who is hiding her for the mother (as you said) would have bitten at Toothpick Cowboy’s reward of $25,000. That kid would have been dropped off at the nearest hog-tie contest.

Deputies Back in Haleigh’s Neighborhood
SATSUMA, FL — Donald Bard remembers the phone call early last Tuesday morning that woke him up.

His wife Phyllis answered the call.

“We were sleeping and then we received a phone call, the automated phone call that Haleigh Cummings was missing in our neighborhood,” said Phyllis Bard.

The Bard’s recognized the name right away.

“The home where Haleigh was taken from belonged to my parents,” said Phyllis.

It sits right next door to her own home, and Phyllis began renting it out a few years ago after her father died of diabetes complications and her mother died in a car crash 80 days later.

The Bard’s first met Haleigh’s father, Ron Cummings, last August.

Phyllis says, “They first moved next door to us, and then they needed a bedroom for each of the children he said, and so he asked to rent that house and we rented that to him in November.”

She’s an adorable little girl,” says Phyllis. “Just adorable. She would come over when I was hanging clothes on the line, and I would see the two of them out in the yard playing and she’s just, what can I say, a beautiful, adorable little girl. It just breaks my heart that all this has happened.”

The Bard’s say, almost one week later, it’s still so hard to believe. The FDLE Command Center is just yards from their front door, and Monday night, the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office teamed up with the Florida Highway Patrol to set up a another roadblock outside the neighborhood.

Sgt. Joseph Wells of the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office said, “It’s just a general set of questions. Were they down here last week, and then if yes, a few more questions.”

“We might find that there’s a paper delivery or a gas delivery company or something that comes and goes on this day and time and we’d just like to know who was down here and maybe did they see anything.”

Sgt. Wells said the roadblock, which will be up until 2 a.m., is part of CART protocol, which is the Child Abduction Response Team.

Just down the road, Phyllis Bard thinks of the missing daughter, and of her own mother, and is comforted.

“I heard on the television, hold on to hope. I heard the sheriff say that, and all of a sudden it hit me, my mother’s name was Hope. It’s the house of hope. Because if my mother were living, my mother would say, just hang on to hope.”

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — As early as Wednesday, another stack of evidence is due out in the case against Casey Anthony, but Eyewitness News has an idea of what the documents will reveal this time.

WFTV reporter Kathi Belich has learned the documents are likely to be about the evidence investigators collected at the Anthony house after Caylee’s remains were found. How was Caylee Anthony murdered and did she suffer? Those are some of the questions that could be answered once it’s released what investigators now know.

The 500 pages to be released include investigators’ reports from the scene where Caylee’s remains were found, the lists of all the property taken from the Anthonys’ home and FBI reports on the evidence. They’ve been characterized as “bombshell” reports.

Detectives are still investigating whether there are discernible fingerprints on the duct tape that was stretched across Caylee’s mouth by the killer. There is no answer to that question at this point.

Two days after defense attorney Jose Baez got the hundreds of “bombshell” documents last week, he went into the hospital for tests. His spokeswoman said he had a stomach ache, but said it’s nothing that will slow down his work on the case.

Monday, another 1,100 pages of evidence was handed over to the defense team, including transcripts of statements witnesses gave to investigators and there’s more computer evidence in the case that will go public sometime soon.

Eyewitness News has learned the new evidence builds a stronger case against the one who should have been Caylee’s fiercest protector, her mother.

Okay, if she wandered off again, that doesn’t explain the center block propping the door open. Unless the babysitter/girlfriend did that to turn the case a different direction.

Actually, there was an AC repair guy there earlier in the evening. I am thinking he propped the door open as the dad says he opened the back door for the repairs. The dad swears he locked the door, but I find I can never reliably remember if I locked a door, sometimes so badly, I have to go back and check again. Now, maybe dad has super-memory, but since he can’t remember his daughter’s birthday, I have to doubt it.

So, maybe the door was propped open all night, Haleigh got up in the middle of the night, saw it open, wandered out…

About Haleigh disappearing earlier in the day after Daddy went to work… didn’t braindead girl say her brothers and nephews (?) visited about 5 pm or so? I’m sure the police questioned them about that. Of course, lots of time left between 5 and 3 am when Daddy returns.

All of a sudden, the little girl isn’t wearing what was first reported. Now, who’s story is that, hmmmmm?

Lots in this case is being held from the public by the police. I believe this and it doesn’t bother me.

I still think this girl was taken and/or harmed by someone who knew her or at least by someone familiar with the family.

Emotionally and mentally I honestly can’t handle all of this. My heart is too big and I can’t stand to think that people hurt our innocent children. The Casey case has taken such a toll on me that the Haleigh case is killing me. If I hear that Haleigh died to evil hands like Caylee did, It will rip my heart to shreds. And just to think, These are the young generation that is suppose to take over this country when they are our ages. What is wrong with this picture? I have heard so much about this and im just wondering if she might have just forgot to lock the front door, or maybe put the kids to sleep and went to get cigs, because i saw her smoking on t.v or maybe she got them to sleep and went to a friends left door unlocked because she didnt have a key? Has any one ask them for there keys to see if they even have any?I think this girl is telling the truth but you never know anymore,She might be afraid to tell if she left the door unlocked !This would expain alot,I think someone was watching and just waiting for the chance!COULD HAVE BEEN WACHING FOR WEEKS! If its true, she was asleep because someone had to get up early to get the little girl to school,I heard she had missed alot of school! Well, i would like to think that the mother of a yound child could have nothing to do with her death. I seriously thing that there is a man out there that has a problem and has taken more then one child and will continue to take children until he is caught,,, the mother is innocent and we need to focus on the person that has done this. Please do not be blind sighted by this sick person. I believe that we are going to continue to see children being hurt and murdered by this person. Please look beyond the Mother and find the person that is actually responsibly for this murder and the current murder. I believe that the person whom is responsible for Caylee is also responsible for Keighleigh also. We should not discontinue that.

Hundreds of pages of legal and investigative documents were released this morning in the case against Casey Anthony.

The Orlando Sentinel will be reviewing the information and posting updates. Included in the discovery are interviews with key players.

The skull didn’t have any flesh left on it, but “quite a bit of hair” was still present, Detective Yuri Melich wrote in the report. “I immediately noticed that there appeared to be a piece of silver duct tape across the mouth area of the skull,” Melich wrote. “The tape appeared to have been purposely placed there.”

Two of Anthony’s friends, Annie Downing and Michelle Murphy, told investigators they remember a time when Anthony had an emotional breakdown and “wanted to be committed,” according to the report.

Detectives also found a stained Winnie the Pooh blanket, a pair of size 24 month pink and white stripe shorts, a pink size 3T shirt with the words “BIG TROUBLE comes small” written on the front and what detectives thought to be pieces of a child’s pull up.

Photographs show several plastic bags scattered at the site, off Suburban Drive. One bag appears to be partially buried.

Strips of silver-colored duct tape are among the photographs.

I watched NG last night and saw nothing but the Haleigh case. Did I miss something? Prints on the tape. Thank you JESUS! I would LOVE to be able to watch M on trial. What entertainment — seeing C & G try to come up with something positive to say — to hear their new excuses for her, to watch BB make a complete ass of himself . . . PUTNAM COUNTY, Fla. — Eyewitness News discovered that the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office is investigating Ronald Cummings’ girlfriend, who claimed that she was at home and sleeping when Haleigh Cummings was taken. But a tip puts the spot light on the 17-year-old girlfriend.

The most recent information investigators got was that Ronald Cummings’ girlfriend, Misty Croslin, may not have been home when Haleigh disappeared from her Satusum house early last week.

The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office said its dealing with more than 1,200 tips in the case and plans to pursue each and every one of them.

“We will take any lead, any place, anytime,” said Dominick Pape of the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.

On CNN, Tuesday night, Haleighs paternal grandmother, Terese Neves, spoke out in support of the 17-year-old’s story.

“I believe someone went into the house and took her. I believe they either know my grandchildren and my family or Haleigh’s mother’s family,” said Neves.

Sheriff’s deputies also said they have the pink shirt that Haleigh was thought to be wearing when she disappeared.

“What we now need people to focus on is this face because we do not know at this time what the clothing was at this point,” said Pape.

The massive search for Haleigh was scaled back this week. Deputies do not want to say too much in fear of jeopardizing the investigation, but confirmed they set up a road block this week and interviewed at least 300 neighbors in the area.

“We’ve got a life of a 5-year-old girl at stake,” he said.

Another prayer vigil was held Tuesday night, at the Dunns Creek Baptist Church in Putnam County.

Haleigh’s father, Ronald Cummings and the little girl’s mother, Crystal Sheffield sat side by side while the community came together to comfort them.

“I care for the people even though I don’t know them,” said one neighbor.

Among the items taken from the house are multiple garbage bags, a Bissel steam cleaner, Dirt Devil vacuum cleaner, a Bissel spot cleaner and one red gas can with duct tape.
