I had a friend that had an Aussie. He used to gather any stones or things in his yard before he cut the grass, and put them in a pile. His dog, Jamie started helping him once, and did it from then on. So cute. Work done in half the time. So smart.

BUTTERS hope you all get well, fast. If any breathing/lung problems, the American Lung Association told me to get a STEAMER (can’t be COOl air) for my room, and it would be GREAT! AND it was!!! I had pneumonia. Have to close your door, and follow it’s instructions. Postural Drainage is GREAT too. Gravity!I would send you some home made chicken soup if I knew how.

BTW those agencies, the American Cancer Society, and the American Lung Association, etc. are so incredibly good when we need help. Loads of free material/packets and will give you direction — if you need it.

Out on a limb so to speak, and at the risk of ruining my reputation, say how impressed I was reading about bio maternal grandmother’s apology for criticizing Misty the girlfriend. And also how moved I was seeing the photo of bio mom, dad, and girlfriend praying together over candles. The pain they feel can be felt by families and communities everywhere on earth, and this moment caught on film gives me hope that man’s humanity to man is greater than his inhumanity. These folks deserve our faith, hope and charity, although maybe not in that order. Peace out, friends.

My daughter was molested by her father so I’m completely on board with sex offenders being shot on sight.

When she turned 18, my daughter sued her dad for this. He plead no contest and his homeowners insurance paid her $80K; $60K of which went to the freakin’ attorney she hired. Don’t get me started on lawyers . . .

He’s still out there, doing God knows what to God knows who. It’s insane.

Anyway, I can feel for bio Mom somewhat. My ex got custody of our daughter when she was 18 mos. old. Not because I was unfit, but because he was a spoiled rich kid who’d never been told no in his life. I found out he had gotten involved in drugs and left him. He begged me to come back, but I was NOT going to raise my child in that. So, out of spite, the rich kid’s family used their money and social influence with the judge and lawyers to get her from me. This is the short version, but I can tell you that the day I had to hand my baby to that a$$, I went on a self-destructive course that only God saved me from. I was only 22.

She was with him for 10 years. During that time, she was beaten, molested, locked up and who knows what else. After 10 years in court, I finally got her back, but the damage had been done and will never be un-done.

I don’t believe Haleigh’s dad is involved. He’s too genuine. My ex was a great “actor” in court, but not as convincing as H’s dad. I can’t point fingers at her bio Mom right now either. She isn’t from the kind of world I came from and may not have the education, but I believe she’s hurting. I’ve been where she is now and, to be honest, although I don’t believe Dad hurt this child, if you look at his record, you’ll understand that not all Moms lose their kids because they’re bad mothers.

At l7, I would have taken good care of those kids. I would have been a little scared to stay alone in a mobile home in a rural area, no way I would have left any door unlocked. As to this situation, I do not believe the father is involved The guy is out of his mind worried about her, falling apart. They are poor and uneducated and so they present to the public a questionable family in which to raise a baby. But I think they really love that little girl and that is all the riches in the world in my opinion.

As to the guy who disappeared around the time the little girl disappeared, I am betting he is behind this. If they find him, they find the baby I fear and I also fear that given it has been six days now, little Haliegh is probably not with us anymore.

Her father said a really sad thing yesterday. He said “she is my heart… someone stole my heart.”

I have not stopped crying since. He reminds me of my father, because we too were poor, but my god I was a loved child. If it turns out to be the sex offender who is missing, I think the father should get first dibs at him frankly.

MB & Tori - I got hubby’s S.S. starting 2 years ago, after he passed away in 1998.

That’s why I was so happy for Heart and her hubby. My hubs doctor screwed around with him for two years. Asthma inhalers, sling for his arm, medicine for supposed diverticulitis.

Went to emergency one night, he was feeling so poorly (after 2 years) - diagnosed almost immediately in the ER! Called in oncologist: cancer of the bone marrow, Multiple Myeloma.

So we live each day and be happy. We don’t have any understanding for the monsters in this world, who turn on their children and other peoples children.

Not sure why this worked, but it did for me! They were bad, might have been migrains. Never discussed them with a Dr. I found my own cheap, safe way.

I had Lyme disease when back east. (Named for Lyme CT where it was first discovered). Are they tiny?
We were told to wear long pants, long sleeves, etc. The infected deer/field mice Tics were so small, they were like the size of a pin head or smaller. Swell! Even our dogs got it. If you don’t get FAST help, can spend a life in bed.

We get mosquitoes here in KY and living on a lake makes it worse. I can be sitting at the dock right next to someone and they will get eaten alive but they pretty much leave me alone. I don’t get it. If I have hairspray or cologne on, they seem to like me a little more so I guess it’s scent driven.

Yeah chiggers and ticks too around here. Oh and snakes. Lots of snakes because of the water I guess. Had one in my basement a few years back. Don’t know HOW it got there!

Heart, daughter is now grown with a daughter of her own. Is OCD, over weight (many victims are, so they aren’t “noticed” by men), and very controlling (another common trait since she had no control over her life/body as a child), BUT has a heart of gold. Very sweet. Won’t spank her daughter, though. Afraid she might have “the gene” and doesn’t want to risk it, so she does Time Out. As a truant officer, I say use a thin paint stick, but I understand why she does what she does.

Therapy went on for years and did help but, IMO, she should still be going.

Gotta wash dishes, piled high, can’t see out of kitchen window.

lockwood, we are in Mississippi right now about 60 miles north of New Orleans. I would be back in Louisiana but my home there was destroyed by Katrina and I lost everything. The rent there now is too high, besides my parents are not in good health and they live here so we decided to move here to be close to them if they need me. I am only about a 20 minute drive from where I use to live so it is all good

Hey…if father has an abuse charge against him just recently…that gives me reason to wonder about family members on the mothers side. It would make sense that they would want to take her out of that situation and hide her. God I hope that’s what it is…that would mean she is in relatively safe hands.

Police searching for missing 5-year-old Haleigh Cummings were notified about a missing Florida sex offender, but stopped short of calling the man a suspect in the girl’s disappearance, Ocala.com reports.

Chad Eugene Reynolds, 25, was last seen Feb. 1 leaving his mother’s home in Ochlawaha, Fla. — about two hours from Haleigh’s home — police said. He was reported missing on Feb. 4.

Reynolds reportedly borrowed a car from a friend and then later called to say the vehicle had broken down near the Marion/Lake County Lines, according to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office. The car was located in an undisclosed location south of Marion County, but Reynolds was nowhere to be found.

Reynolds was sentenced in Putnum County — the same county where Haleigh was reported missing Feb. 10 — to seven years in prison for armed burglary and lewd and lascivious molestation of a child younger than 12. The incident happened in September of 2002.

Maj. Chris Blair told Ocala.com that the Marion County Sheriff’s Office contacted the Putnum County Sheriff’s Office about Reynolds.

Authorities said their first concern is Reynolds’ safety, but added that he will likely be arrested for failing to report to his probation officer.

Reynolds was released in November and is on 10 years of community supervision, Ocala.com reports.

Haleigh was discovered missing from her Satsuma, Fla. home by her father’s girlfriend, Misty Croslin. The father, Ronald Cummings, said Haleigh had gotten up to use the bathroom, and when she didn’t return, Croslin went to look for her and noticed the back door of the mobile home they shared was open.

Police believe the girl was abducted.

Chief Deputy Rick Ryan of the Putnam County Sheriff’s Department said in a news conference investigators continue to interview family members, their friends and others. Everyone is considered a potential person of interest.

“We’re frustrated, of course, but the No. 1 mission is to find the little girl and return her to her family,” he said. “We haven’t lost our motivation or our drive.”

As a registered sexual predator, Reynolds is required to report to his mother’s house everyday, according to Ocala.com.

“We’re handling it like any missing and endangered person. We’re concerned for his safety because his mother said he hasn’t done anything like this before,” Marion County Sheriff’s Capt. Tommy Bibb said

Do a search on cummings% scroll down to Ronald Lemyles Cummings..there is a record a long court battle that includes violence toward children, domestic violence, parenting classes, children removed from home and on Feb. 9th 2009 there is a CONTEMPT OF COURT filed. So Feb. 10th on the heals of the “contempt of court” the daughter is missing. Could this be a coincidence?

Also Fox news had the police report and Ronald Cummings called his girlfriend a “DUMB BIT…H” to the police.

PUTNAM COUNTY, FL — The ground search for Haleigh Cummings is expected to end tomorrow unless there are new developments in the case.

Chief Rick Ryan with the the Putnam County Sheriff’s Department says the Equusearch firm is wrapping up its search efforts today.

Ryan says the Sheriff’s Office will search two more locations on Monday, then suspend any ground searches unless there is a big break in the case.

The search for Haleigh has been going on since Tuesday morning when she was discovered missing from her bed in her mobile home around 3 a.m.

She went to bed around 10 p.m. Monday night but has not been seen since.

Ryan says police have followed up on some 500 tips and leads with no success in finding the 5-year-old.

That includes checking on a missing sex offender in Marion County who has family in Putnam County.

Those family members are doubtful that Chad Reynolds had anything to do with the case.

Law enforcement officials moved the command center from the neighborhood to the Emergency Operations Center in Putnam County to better handle all the calls and tips.

Ryan says they have exhausted every resource including cadaver dogs in the search.

Someone on the show (can’t rem. who) said maybe C put the rest of the ashes in a bank vault. That would make sense. They would weigh less than 1 lb. or so and would be in a very small box.
