But if you are aware of how kleptocracies in Africa and other places get rich, it loses some of it's humor. Back then, I was under the impression that the story was vaguely based on Papa Doc and Baby Doc Duvalier...(of Haiti)...but it could also have been written about Kim of North Korea, or Marcos or any number of politicians.. The movie is fine…
