A beautiful little 5 year old girl, Haleigh Cummings out of Satsuma Florida seems to have vanished in the middle of the night, Tuesday night. It seems to be a mystery as to what has happened to this little girl.

She was at home with her little brother and her father’s 17 year old girlfriend, Misty Croslin. According to Misty she put Haleigh to bed around 8 pm that night because she had school the next morning. She said she woke up around 3 am to go to the bathroom and found Haleigh missing from her bed. She said she found the kitchen light on and a cinder block holding the back door open. The child’s father, Ronald Cummings returned home from work about 3:25 am. At 3:27 Misty made a call to 911 to report the 5 year old missing.

Now a search is on for little Haleigh. Ronald Cummings told Greta Van Susteren that law enforcement agencies are doing everything that they can to help find his daughter saying Federal agents and numerous different county sheriff’s are there to help. He told Greta there is no way Haleigh would have wandered off alone, especially at night since she is afraid of the dark.

There seems to be a bit of a discrepancy over where little Haleigh was sleeping though. One report says she was in the bed with Misty, another one says Haleigh was in her own bed, another says Haleigh was in bed with her brother, so I am not sure what bed the little girl was sleeping in. Greta asked her is she was in the same bed as Haleigh and Misty said no. Then she asked were they in the same room and the answer was yes. Greta asked her how far Haleigh was sleeping from Misty. Cummings replied probably 3 or 4 inches away saying she was in front of the TV, not far from Misty. When Greta questioned the 3 or 4 inches Misty said she means she isn’t sure but it wasn’t that far away. Finally after trying to figure out how far away she was from Misty, Cummings said he knew where the beds were at saying they were about 4 feet apart from the edge of the bed she was in to the edge of the bed Haleigh was in.

Apparently both Cummings and Croslin have submitted to a polygraph test and he says both passed it. Greta asked Misty what they said about her results. She asked if she means did she pass. Greta asked if they used the word “pass” or did they say there was no sign of deception. Cummings said they told him he passed but Misty said they really didn’t say much to her.

My prayers go out to this family. I hope they find this little girl soon. It worries me though to hear that the grandfather of little Caylee Anthony, the 2 year old that was murdered in Orlando in June but wasn’t even reported missing for 31 days, has gone to Satsuma to offer his support and advice to the family. He told Greta they need to be in support of each other. They need to be there no matter what. They need to reach out. He claims they need to know they can reach out to him or his wife, Cindy or their son and to other families that understand. OK I mean no disrespect to this family but after what all has happened in the last 7 or 8 months and what the public has learned about the Anthony family, I would hardly want to be reaching out to them for support.

Bringing that sleazy organization, Kidfinder’s into this is a huge mistake. They will make this a big circus like they did Caylee Anthony and make as much money off it as they can.

Let the honest ones like Texas Equusearch go in and help find this child. Tim Miller and hundreds of volunteers with Equusearch will be there conducting a large scale search for the little girl Friday and it is also said that Leonard Padilla will be around offering his assistance too. In fact according to firstcoastnews.com Padilla is offering a $25,000 reward for Haleigh’s safe return no questions asked. He says he has seen this work before so he’d like to try it again. “Nobody else is stepping up and saying hey let’s figure out how to put up a reward. Now maybe someone else will get energized,” he said.

Ronald Cummings made a statement saying: “If you have my daughter and you are watching this, drop her off somewhere safe, call 911, call the local authorities. If you’ve done something with her, tell us where she is at. I am not out for revenge… I want my daughter back.”

Haleigh’s mother who now lives in Baker County, Crystal Sheffield has been in Satsuma since she got word of her daughter’s disappearance. She has visitation rights every other weekend and this weekend she was scheduled to have her daughter. She says she has some questions about all of this but says she has the same plea to the public as her ex-husband has. She said, “If somebody went in there and grabbed her, they’d have to know her. Haleigh’s not going to wander off or let some stranger pick her up without making a noise. It all sounds fishy to me but I don’t want to make any accusations, I don’t want to talk about them. I just want my baby home.”

Authorities have asked that anyone that has any kind of information on this case that can lead them to finding Haleigh Cummings to please call the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office at 386-329-0800 or the FDLE’s Missing Endangered Persons Information Clearinghouse at 888-FL-MISSING.

I pray that she is found alive and well. My God bless you and protect you from any harm Haleigh.
