Railway Friends

Imagine a delightful island where trains can talk and, with a couple notable exceptions, are cheerful and kind.  Think of the zany adventures they could have and all of the important life lessons which could be learned.  Well, the time for imagining is over because that dream is available on DVD!

Starting this February 9th, now available on DVD from Lionsgate Productions and HIT Entertainment comes the next chapter in the lives of those fantastic and irascible trains we all love.  Thomas & Friends – Railway Friends is ready to tunnel out of your television screen and right into your heart with those stories of friendship and teamwork.  Bring home this perpetually relevant and exciting collection of episodes today!

The island of Sodor is roaring again with the fantastical adventures of a group of talking trains.  Thomas and all of his friends are back with a whole batch of new and fun stories.  In these episodes, we see all sorts of stuff, including when Thomas decides to go to a holiday party on the wharf, we meet Percy, we see Thomas worry about his brakes and how badly they squeak, we go the wrong way on what we think is a shortcut and so much more.  The episodes included in this DVD are “Best Friends,” “The Party Surprise,” “Gordon Takes A Shortcut,” “Thomas Puts The Brakes On,” “Saved You!” and “Excellent Emily.”

The special features included in this DVD are a great game where you have to name the different trains you see, an ever better puzzle game where you have to lay down the track and a bonus episode of Roary The Racing Car, the new series from the people who brought you Bob The Builder.

It should always bring a smile to your face when you get to spend time on the island of Sodor with Thomas, James, Gordon, Percy, Emily, Henry and Sit Topham Hatt.  This is actually the first collection of episodes from this show to ever feature CGI animation.  Part of me misses the magic which happened when it was done with nothing but model trains and dedication, but I also like the way the CGI makes it look.  The special features, mainly the two games, which are included in this DVD are the best I have ever seen come with episodes from this show.  Between the new CGI and the great special features, it looks as though this franchise will continue to bring us great adventures well into the future.

This DVD helps make the best of Friends.

HIT Entertainment is one of the world’s leading independent children’s entertainment producers and has teamed up with 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment to release a whole set of child content and themed DVD boxed sets.
