Caylee Anthony – BNN On The Radio Feb/8 – Wrap Up

It was another busy one hour radio show. The panel consisted of Jan Barrett, Sean Krause, Denny Griffin, Pickles, and myself. Keeping this crowd in check is like herding cats!

You can listen to the program in its entirety here. But you might want to cover your ears, a little of the conversation got a little ripe!

What you will not hear though is the discussion that ensued prior to going on the air. Sean Krause gave us a musical rendition of an old TV ad jingle. Personally I do not think Sean should try out for American Idol, but it certainly was amusing. Alas we were in the virtual ‘green room’ and the event was not recorded. A shame, it would have been a fine artifact for future generations.

Vegas based author, crime writer, and broadcaster Denny Griffin kicked off the program talking about a new Caylee Anthony book. He had an interview with the author a few days ago. She has found this project somewhat controversial, and has received a good deal of hate mail since announcing the book. The author is Diane Fanning. The working title is Mommy’s Little Girl.

What I am increasingly sensing in the case of poor dead Caylee Anthony a real shift in public perception. Support for Casey Anthony is almost zero, and the family, brother Lee, and parents George and Cindy Anthony seem to have become one of the most vilified families in living memory. Not seen as grieving grandparents George and Cindy are instead vied with suspicion. That was certainly the tone I got from both the panel and the callers.

Equally disliked, and distrusted are the legal team. High powered, and stupid! Jose Baez has been doing the TV interview tour, in most peoples opinions ‘cherry picking’ the TV ops. Only going for those that offer a good light. Needless to say neither Jose Baez, the other ‘nightmare team’, nor the Anthony’s would stoop down to talking directly to Blogger News. I can’t even lure silly Leonard Padilla to join the show! But I am pretty certain that Blogger News has been a topic of conversation for the whole group of them.

I wrote this on the last blog.

Why would anyone protect someone who treated even them like crap. I just don’t get it. If my daughter treated me like that, I wouldn’t protect her. I’d throw her under the bus just as quick as she treated me like trash. Then again, I probably wouldn’t protect her anyways if she killed my granddaughter. Then again, I’m not like the Ants either.

Its apparent whats going on…I fully understand that foundations and memorial funds are set up all the time by grieving families..but they keep preaching Caylee was missing and brought home she was a child slain by some nanny/kidnapper…they need the lie to fit the fund….Who would dare donate to a child killed by her mother supported by the fund raisers…nope…they know..they know and the money aint generating unless ppl believe Caylee was victem to some crazed nanny/kidnapper…cover up the truth so the money keeps a flowing…yupp..great scam…

I don’t know if I can agree with some of you that the Ants were involved in Caylee’s murder. I definitely believe they are/were covering for IT.

Pelsea (C’s brother) sent her an e-mail “Caylee’s dead. There I’ve said it. Casey either killed her by accident or on purpose”. He also told them that Casey had been playing them like a base fiddle and they should wake up.

About the ants protecting M. I wonder HOW and WHY myself. Often.

I wonder if this is going on in their little heads?

1. Guilt. I should have done something earlier, gotten her help, etc.

2. Oh, “the Hand”. Easier for them- George’s little hand story, to go from 5 to 4, not 5 to 3?

3. When all is said and done, look what M orchestrated - and DID for them. She IS responsible for making G & C wealthy, and for giving C the opening to be the CEO she ALWAYS WANTED TO BE! RICH - without really working, for the rest of their lives. Probably have “mixed” feelings. Yes, serendipitous, for sure, but nevertheless, accurate.

MB, Nancy G. and Paddy. I think he is a “character” and Nancy might think he enriches the program. Probably does. I remember early on, he didn’t have his “hat” on one evening. Nancy said, “Where is your hat? Put it on!” He did, and wore it from then on, every time he was on her show. He is a much more colorful character, I guess, with it on.

After all, much of TV is Show Biz. Ratings you know. Shame, but true.

But it won’t work. When the prosecution clearly lays out what happened all this selling Caylee photos, Fugitive Movies, etc. aren’t going to amount to a hill of beans.

If they would of had ppl honest enough to help them find the truth then yes maybe Caylee would of been found a long time ago..well back in August if pudge gut police officers would of gotten there gloves and boots dirty…then in November when them two “detectives” would of turned in there knowledge of the area….but there is no one honest fighting for Caylee besides LE and the Feds…its sad…those ppl continue a lie just to make money…lets get a killer free from jail so we can blame this childs murder on a fake nanny….okay…sure…yah…right…mmmhhmmmm okie doke…Yah there all for living with a killer out on the streets…they even slept in the same room with the killer…so seems to them she aint that bad……maybe she aint that bad…I mean the ants want her free to roam the streets…why not….What do they care really…they have a big new business to attend to…new friends…events…vigils…awareness to spread…

Debra - If you are looking for people who think they are stars. It’s not us.
We talk about the case here. We read all the discovery evidence, listen to the interviews, and wonder how it happened that this little girl went missing for 31 days with her mother not notifying anyone. Lot’s of us are mothers.

I read the blog long before I ever commented. Read lot’s of blogs. Was obsessed with trying to figure out what happened to Caylee.
How could this mother not report a missing child? Then lie to the police who were trying to help?

My worry and concern was shared by someone, several someones. I found them here. There is laughter, open distaste for all crimes against children, it is just a way of dealing with it.

I don’t watch tv, only read the news, and type on here to share quiet outrage at what goes on in the world.

My … I’m getting too old or the world is changing faster than I can handle. This thing about a “disinvited” list … (A) Or the memorial is public or it isn’t. (B) If it is being held in a temple of God, shouldn’t the pastor think deeper about how God loves us all, rich & poor, good & not-so-good (C) The purpose of a memorial is for a group of people to gather in brotherhood and in unison to find closure for this tragic loss. (E) There is no place for animosity in an event like this.

And the ugly surprises keep on coming from the adults of that dysfunctional family. The breath of fresh innocence that Caylee brought to that family was smothered in the worst of ways. Forever. Why don’t they want to give 100% spotlight to the memory of this angel?

I can barely wait for the moment of Justice For Caylee.

Heart, Pickles and everyone - many thanks for your thoughts, the wildfires are horrific..sadly the body count is growing..I am many thousands of miles away and thankful that the West only has a few smaller fires still burning.

The Jail has stated that they are OK for M to watch the 2 hr memorial..IMO Bozo & Baden should be with her! It will be interesting to see if they have any comments…hmmm!

I KNEW Sindee would not be able to pass up the spotlight (or microphone) one more time! Speaking at her granddaughter’s funeral! Very very rare that a grandparent could or would do that. The following is the obituary for Caylee Marie Anthony, written by her grandmother, Cindy Anthony, and provided to Eyewitness News by attorney Brad Conway:

“Caylee Marie Anthony has captivated the hearts of so many people over the course of the last several months. Many feel a great loss for a beautiful child that they never had the opportunity to meet. They quickly fell in love with her beauty and her charming ways, as she read a story to her ailing great grandfather, whom she loved very much. For those who fell in love with Caylee Marie on national TV, their grief is only temporary, their hearts will soon mend, and their memory of her may eventually fade. But for those who actually had the honor to meet Caylee Marie, it will be much more difficult for them to say good bye, and their hearts may never heal.

On August 9th 2005, God blessed this earth with one of his most beautiful children. Caylee Marie was born at 7:14am in an Orlando hospital. From the moment that she was born she forever stole the hearts of her family. Caylee was not only a beautiful baby, but she had a beautiful spirit that will live on in those that truly knew her and loved her. She is survived by her mother Casey Marie Anthony, her grandparents George and Cindy Anthony, her uncle Lee Anthony, and her great grandparents Alex and Shirley Plesea and Ruth and Lee Anthony.

Caylee’s life will be honored in a memorial service open to the public on February 10th 2009 at the First Baptist Church of Orlando beginning at 10am. The family is requesting that those with only the purest of hearts and truly honorable intentions attend the service for their beloved child. This service will be a tribute to her life and a time for her family and friends to finally be together to openly express and share their love for her.

The family is requesting, in lieu of flowers, that donations be made to Eastside Baptist Church, 1900 Conway Gardens Rd, Orlando Fl., the Orlando Rescue Mission or Kid Finders Network. Because of Caylee so many other children have been the recipient of the kindness and generosity from those who have donated on her behalf. Donations have been made to numerous organizations such as Toys for Tots, The Shriners, St. Jude’s Hospital, The Make a Wish Foundation, The Boys and Girls Club of America, The Orlando Rescue Mission, and Kid Finders Network. Another child will receive a new smile after receiving multiple reconstructive surgeries to repair a cleft palate. Because of this outpouring of compassion the family will continue to honor Caylee’s memory by establishing the Caylee Marie Anthony Foundation. The Foundation’s purpose will be to continue to generate awareness for missing children; and to establish programs to assist in the well being of those children in need of comfort and support during difficult and stressful times.

Caylee’s life may have been short lived on this earth but her life will not have ended without a purpose. She will be sadly missed but never forgotten. Caylee Marie Anthony now has her angel wings and will be watching over so many other children.”

Shan - I think Kidlosers is the only “missing” child organization included in the donation list. The other organizations have different purposes.
Any money going to Kidlosers WILL go to the scumball Milsteads AND the ants - because remember George said he was going to (or maybe IS) working for kidlosers? That organization should be investigated before it does any more damage to reputable missing child organizations or diverts money from deserving orgs like Tim Miller’s Texas EquuSearch.

All kid losers did was make up some really ugly t-shirts on which it was difficult to read the info or see a good photo of Caylee and loan the billboard that George drove around. That’s all they ever do! Besides pass the donation jar, of course! Disgusting.

There is something called “Righteous Indignation” and that’s what we are feeling.
It is WAY too soon to “forgive” nevermind forget. Later on some of us may even have to leave it to a higher power to do the forgiving. But for now we still have a “fight” on our hands. A fight to prevent the ants, kidlosers and maybe some others from using Caylee’s innocent little bones to make money!!!

After reading Cindy’s “eulogy”, I just can’t wait until tomorrow is OVER. This 5000 person memorial is high on the list of “stupidest things people do”.

It will be interesting to see how many of Caylee’s extended family attend this sham. From what we have heard, it seems they are normal people who regard the Hopesprings Rd family as “crazies”. Hey, we all have those types in our families, but luckily, most don’t turn out to be child killers.

Now, a new foundation for missing children? How about for MURDERED children? Cindy says Caylee’s death now serves as a purpose? How does anyone with a brain come to that conclusion? She wasn’t sick, she was murdered. Where is the PURPOSE in that?

She’s been quiet for awhile, but looks like she has been a busy little bee in the background, writing stuff and forming foundations.

I will not be watching that stupid show tomorrow. Interesting enough, I will serving on a jury for the next 2 weeks. Wouldn’t I love to be on that FL jury!!!!

Even though the day will end, we will have to watch recaps of Cindy crying while talking about little Caylee. I have never doubted her love for this child. What I have always doubted is the way she neglected the importance of finding Caylee, all the while trying to get the murderer out of jail. She will live with that her entire life. But, being she is so naive (stupid?), she will never admit to herself the truth of this whole sad story.

I wish NO one would show up for the cameras tomorrow.

It was reported a few nights ago…I saw it on NG…that Baez was trying to sell these pictures. He didn’t have a price, but was trying to see how much the media would pay for them.

They havea been buzzin on articles on the web and on tv that that 200,000k that they recieved from the first set of picutes is probably gone or near gone. I think it was on HLN that they said with all of the experts that Bozo has to pay that they monies gone. You know there is also buzzin around that some of the experts are working pro bono. If they are were is the cheese as Pick says. They also said that this case could possibly cost as much as 3 million dollars. Especiall if they move the trial out of town.

I hope that the media outlets refuse to pay anything for the pictures… Of course that won’t happen…someone will buy the rights to those pictures and claim and exclusive… But why… I think after the memorial, the attention to the case is going to die down…until the trial… Just my opinion…but we can’t keep having new twists and turns at the pace it has been at…my heart won’t last that long if we do. IT really played them, knowing where Caylee was - and that she was dead. “I feel it in my gut… stronger every day… she’s coming HOME to us.” Didn’t she say once “And she’ll be just like she was …”??

Often there is one sick person in a family, but in this one, I think there was 4.

Caylee wasn’t an Anthony. She was - whoever her father was, and his parents. Very little Anthony in her, I think. Maybe they knew it … too.

first of all its not up to her to do this , she should be seated grieving, & another member of the family must do this.

I hear ya heart. I’ve done so much thinking about Caylee that my family thinks I am nuts.

But I have to watch this psuedo memorial…I have to look for clues, for answers…it will tell a story and every story holds more information in this case.

I haven’t missed any part of it to date, so I will most definitely be watching.

It’s part of my training as a reporter and a writer…Caylee can’t be brought back, but the investigation must be followed if the truth is the final goal.

Cindy is hated due to the turn she took. Her stance on July 15th should have stood strong. She knew Casey harmed Caylee, she knew. I do hope that church doesn’t disrupt those services, they must remember it’s all about Caylee and the love the public felt for that child and the pain they feel for her life cut short by her narcissistic mother, who, might I add is just like her mother. Monday, February 9, 2009

The following is the transcript of a news conference held by Casey Anthony’s attorney, Jose Baez, on Monday, February 9. He is the only person who spoke and read a statement from Casey.

This is a statement by my client and she’s authorized me to a make a statement to the public with regards to tomorrow’s memorial.

I miss Caylee every day and every minute of every day. I can’t be there for Caylee’s funeral, but some day I want to go and visit her grave and tell her how much I miss her.

I allowed my parents to be in charge for the funeral for Caylee. I told them I wanted her buried in a casket and I wanted there to be a gravestone so I could go and visit her. I asked them if there could only be a private funeral for just the family.

I know they cremated her. I still don’t want a public events with cameras and everybody around for Caylee’s service, but I can’t stop my parents from doing what they want. I truly hope that it will help them.
