It has been another busy week in the case and there is lots to talk about. George Anthony remains in hospital following his talk of suicide. Casey Anthony remains firmly locked up in jail, as the case inches forward toward trial. Judge Strickland has ruled that she cannot waive her rights to appear, and must show her face in court for the various pre-trial hearings. My guess is that this is a pre-emptive move shuttering one potential cause for appeal, that she did not consent to the actions of her lawyers. He also quashed the motion to recuse the prosecution, which was hardly surprising. However Baez did win a minuscule victory, gaining access to the crime scene. That victory seems to have no purpose however, Baez argued that ‘his’ entomologist needed to examine the area, however Baez has no entomologist on his team?
Free enterprise entered the arena this week with the announcement of the ‘Caylee Sunshine Doll’, move that ired many people, and the idea has now been put on hold.
Speculation is still abounding over the money trail, who is paying the tab?
Although I have not looked personally some news organizations are reporting that the defense witness list with the exception of two people is identical to that of the prosecution.
I know that several people have had problems finding the show live, so here is one way that will work for sure. Pickles, the church jumped the gun on the memorial. Not happenin’. Either that or they’re not having it with the remains or the Ants’ consent. I’ll go get the report from last night that I posted on the other article this morning and re-post it here.
No memorial planned after all. Church kinda goofed with its big press release. This report from Orlandosentinel.com late last night.
“For a few moments on Friday evening, it seemed that a memorial service for slain toddler Caylee Marie Anthony was about to happen and that the little girl whose disappearance has captivated the country would finally be put to rest.
Not so.
An attorney representing Caylee’s grandparents said news release issued by First Baptist Orlando incorrectly stated that a public memorial service would be held Feb.10 at the 5,000-seat church on John Young Parkway.
“Until her remains are released, we cannot set a definite date,” attorney Brad Conway, representing grandparents George and Cindy Anthony, said Friday night.
The church sent an update reiterating that it would host a service but deleting the time and date. Church spokesman Scott Link told the Orlando Sentinel that the Anthonys sanctioned the service after attending the church at Christmastime.
The release quoted senior pastor David Uth as saying, “We believe that hosting the service will give us the opportunity to minister to a family in need and to a community that is hurting because of the loss of this precious child.”

So they need more time (tests) to try to PROVE M didn’t commit the murder? Maybe somewhere in the skelton bones, they will find evidence that Zanny did it, or Jesse did it, or Tony did it, or the real father, if they ever find out who he is, did it!

Watched NG last night, and a rerun on two different TVs. Love her new look she is getting, REAL Jail Pale for sure. So white almost neon looking. They can try to clean her up, package her differently, remove the visible hand cuffs, and she STILL has the look of a jailed murderer, waiting in her “room”, for her big Trial.
Is the dream team hoping this furor and intense HATRED for her,will calm down and pass? Is that another reason for their delay of a year or so?

Hi, All! What if M actually killed the “real” father? The trial is all about justice, and in the meantime M is being punished plenty just being away from her old life. It’s really a shame that everybody whose life she touched is also suffering for having known her. And most of all, that innocent beautiful child, who definitely was neglected and possibly a lot worse. She may have found the perfect attorney to try her, let’s hope he does enough things right that there is no mistrial later on.

Glad you folks are talking on the radio about this, sure helps to hear what you have found out. Many heads are better than my one. Watched the video of Caseys court appearance yesterday. Am I the only one who noticed that her face showed no concern, no grief, no nothing but the google eyes she gives Baez? No matter who killed my child, me or anyone else, there is no way that in the amount of time I would have ever,ever been able to flash a smile as she did. She was laughing, smiling and acting happy until the judge came in and then she calmed herself down to look like a frumpy little woman for his benefit. Made me sick! Her make-over stunk out loud too. Why would Baez have her look like a school marm or librarian when she is a devil in disguise? Bet if they struck up some dance music and given her a quart glass of beer she might have just come out of that garb she was wearing and showed her real self. Before it is over, she will show who she really is, I just feel it. She will trip and fall on her own lies or Baez’s wife may just cause a bit of problem for her. Those googly eyes they pass between them is sickening, obvious how she is paying Baez for his services. Behind closed doors, in his office for hours at a time, come on! He is too touchy-feelie not to have some underhanded thing between them. Next question is how is she paying the other experts? Have they all lined up and taken a number? that should be interesting. Hope I can hear the broadcast this week, maybe some of my questions will be answered. Keep up the good work!
To answer the question of Caylees father being told. Casey Anthony has no idea for sure who the father is! If she had, don’t you know it would have given her free support financially, and she would have gone after it too. If she did not want the baby when she was born, she would have maybe given it to the father if she had known who he was. More than likely a number of choices as to who it is, no way to pinpoint without DNA tests and that would have cost her money. But, she avoided answering Caylee when she grew up as to who her father is, didn’t she?

Gannie, I think it’s also possible that M didn’t want another set of people (Father & paternal grandparents) who would have any say in HER life, so she was willing to forfeit any child support from a father.
And frankly, I think her mother might have not wanted to share Caylee with another set of grandparents either so SHE was willing to go along with the ‘father died’ story.

Hi, LI_Mom! The only problem I have with things like selling voodoo dolls of M is that if that kind of thing goes to far it could backfire - meaning end up gaining her public sympathy. You know how some people support the “poor pathetic underdog.” In this case we KNOW what a skank M is and we believe her guilty as sin but there are plenty of people out there and plenty of time for the tide to turn in M’s favor - public opinion-wise.
We’ve already seen comments here from people telling us to stop treating her so badly and saying bad things. And long ago at the beginning of the case there were people on another blog (a “mom” kind of blog) who SYMPATHIZED with her for killing her child!
“Oh, I understand. She was too young to be a mother. Being a mother is SO trying.” Etc.
REALLY! A lot of us couldn’t believe it!
So as much as I want to verbally “Beat up” M and see life size voodoo dolls with spears in them, I’m afraid it might perversely go in her favor. Lots of uninformed people out there as well as LOTS of people who are just ornery - if you say the sky is blue they’ll argue with you about it, you know?

You have to wonder why Baez wants a look at the crime scene where Caylee’s remains were found. He had that opportunity immediatly after the ME/CSI were done. He said it was no longer a crime scene but an excavation site! So why now?
Baez and his scheme team have something up their sleeves but nothing they do will change the facts of this case. KC is soley responsible for Caylee’s demise. When this gets told at trial, I will happily see KC in prison for the rest of her sorry life.
I think that BB is the right attorney for M, let’s hope he stays with her through a speedy trial with a fair verdict. If he can show reasonable doubt and she is found “not guilty” let’s hope somebody can find other charges that are provable… like tax evasion, drug involvement, or even neglect leading to the death of her child, perhaps. Find something to hold her accountable. Meanwhile sitting in her cell is plenty of punishment, no access to her old lifestyle, until trial.
Not to misconstrue my previous post… I am not hoping for a not guilty plea, just looking realistically at the folly that has occurred in similar cases due to legal shenanigans. Anything is possible, bizarro stuff happens all the time.
It is a wonder that Lee is still employed after all the bad vibes people have for the family.

Meanwhile, we dont get answers and things fall through the crack. We never did find out who the PI was talking to when he was rooting around the site in Nov. This was important to see if this could be followed back to Lee or M.

If Hoover told that to the FBI/LE and they talked for 3 hrs? That’s a lot of talking. Casey and the ants were trying to run him down in the media, like he was trying to peddle the tape, but I don’t think he ever was. All they said for real was that he had been offered money for it. Casey had even denied there was a tape.

The 1st voodoo doll went to 11k then all were pulled. The were relisted a couple of days later w/ buy it now for $250, all were ended again.

I have to admit, watching that last hearing, I almost felt sorry for Baez, a little. Like he was being bullied, people laughing at the way he filed his witness list, saying things weren’t handled properly, sort of snickering. I felt uncomfortable for him.
Then his expert witness, Baden seemed to be having a bad day. Couldn’t get across what she was trying to say, like to the point. She talks in circles like sin and m. Probably why m was glad to see her.
But then I remembered who he was defending and realized: Baez is pretending to be putting on a defense and M is pretending she’s still an event planner or is it legal secretary now.

PI Casey said he knew Caylee was dead and where her body was as early as Nov. 14. Ask Mr. Hoover to accompany him on Nov. 15 & 16 to search the area. PI Casey also returned to search at later times, without Hoover. PI Casey had numerous cell phones at his dispossal which he could use. Very interesting.

IT CAME ON HER FACE just as her parents attorney asked the judge to waive any conflict of interest on DeJames. They wanted to waive it to speed up discovery. The judge asked how they wanted him to rule. “Expediently and justly so that conflict would be waived. They love their daughter, but they do not want to delay the process and want discovery to go forth as quickly as possible.” The judge sort of chuckled and said he understood and would rule as quickly and justly as he could on it.(Knowing smiles between judge and attorney right here.)

Somewhere yesterday I heard about some 911 call Cindy supposedly made about June 30th reporting money stolen and baby possibly being missing. When they were talking about it, I just remembered Amy H. saying in her interview with LE that Sin had given her the idea that she had done a “preliminary reporting with LE”, which Amy didn’t know was possible. Sin had said she was supposed to call back to confirm it with LE. Just was wondering if anyone remembered that, too??

Last I heard the ants were still selling the leftover “find Caylee” bracelets and the sleazebag “Caylee Sunshine” doll (now cancelled) was selling “Caylee Sunhshine” bracelets.
So who is making/selling bracelets that read:

It sounds like something Sindee would do. And I would also expect her to slip it into a pocket of the jacket that SHE had to GIVE to BB for M to wear. (Just speculation on that part but I am curious about who made that bracelet.)

The info about the bracelet and what was written on it is from news articles about it being found in the clothing BB dropped off.
It just occurred to me that I don’t remember hearing about a bracelet with that particular phrase on it being sold. So I was wondering who made it. Maybe one of our fellow bloggers knows.
My guess is Bozo made it cuz you can easily get those made with whatever you want written on it. Who knows maybe they will sell bracelets to collect money for legal fees. Wouldn’t put it past them!

Good morning all. Did anyone catch the Geraldo show last night? Fascinating. they had an interview with C from July. Geraldo asked her about the search for Caylee and of course she said that that was why it was so important for M to get out of jail so she could speak to the people who had her.When geraldo asked her what the clues to who those people were she said: “are you frigging kidding me?” Why would I hurt the efforts by police? Strangely enogh Bobo wa sitting at her side, totally silent. Then Geraldo asked if the baby’s father might have taken her and Cindy said: “definitely not”
The way she said it made it abundantly clear that this fictional dad did not exist. Then Geraldo asked who he was and Cindy replied: “He is someone who died in a car accident accident and I have the obituary at home, but I can’t remember his last name”….WHAT?..the father of your Grandchild and you can’t remember his name? ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Eyewitness News learned Casey Anthony may have been slipped some contraband in the suit she wore to court for Friday’s hearing. Jail officials told Eyewitness News they discovered a “Caylee” bracelet stashed in the clothes Jose Baez dropped off this week.
The Orange County jail guards found it inside Casey’s clothing, which Jose Baez dropped off right at the visitation center. The jail said, because it’s a rubber band and not a weapon, no harm, no foul.
When Casey Anthony walked into court Friday, she was wearing a gray business suit. Attorney Jose Baez dropped it off at the Orange County jail Wednesday. But Eyewitness News has learned Baez also wanted his client to wear a Caylee bracelet, so he put it in one of her socks.
That’s considered contraband and jail guards confiscated it.
Jail spokesman Allen Moore said the bracelet had the inscription “Forever in our hearts Caylee Marie Anthony” on it. Moore said, technically, it is contraband but there is no evidence that there was any malicious intent to smuggle in the bracelet.
The jail considers the incident a closed routine matter and Baez will be notified that bracelets are not allowed. Moore said, if the item had been illegal or dangerous, the jail would have called law enforcement to investigate.
It’s not the first time Baez has been the center of questionable behavior at the jail. In October, Eyewitness News reported Casey’s attorney violated policy when he hugged her twice. Guards told Baez touching his client was not allowed.
The jail would not go on camera about the bracelet incident and Orange County Corrections Department Chief Michael Tidwell is aware of what happened.
A spokesperson said Casey Anthony didn’t even see the bracelet.

I have just watched Friday’s courtroom appearance on youtube. Like everyone else, I am stupefied by the smiling monster.
So I started thinking about it from the defense side that she did not commit the murder of Caylee. Let’s assume she is 100% innocent. Someone else killed Caylee and she is in jail, charged with a crime someone else commited.
OK, assuming all that, I still have to ask WHAT IS SHE SMILING ABOUT? Someone killed your baby!!! An innocent person would be so sedated and unable to manage a weak smile under the circumstances. Innocent people don’t want to trust a lawyer and stay inside a jail hoping he says the right things. An innocent person would demand to be present and would be fighting to be heard and seen.
Appearance wouldn’t matter! An innocent person would gladly wear prisoners garb, likely thinking more about the case than their appearance. If she was truly innocent, the jailhouse attire might be in her favour…garnering sympathy for the outrageously unfair mistake made by LE.

There has been a fact that has made me curious that several people have mentioned about a hair straightener iron. Was it found with the body?
If so it is important because in the August jailhouse visit, M describes Zanny to her mom as having curly hair down to the shoulders but she straightens it and when her mother looks confused M says, don’t you remember I told you about this, Zanny is the one that gave me my straightener. M definitely laying tracks just as she did with Zanny has the key to the house!

Again, an innocent person would not be “happy” to see her lawyers. She would be depressed at the injustice of being reliant on them to prove she was the NOT the person who murdered her own child.

This is their notice of service of written interrogatories. Remember, they said they couldn’t do the oral ones. So this is 29 questions that they have written down that they want Casey Anthony to sit down with her attorneys and go over.
They range everything from is this woman right here, the Zenadia Fernandez-Gonzalez that you claim you gave your daughter to, have you ever seen this woman in a bathing suit, any kind of marks or tattoos, or anything you can describe her on.
And did you know that somebody by the same name of Zenadia Gonzalez had been at the Sawgrass apartments where you claimed that you dropped your daughter off the day before that all happened, and that she was driving a car similar to the one you described but with New York tags. Lots of questions, and I will tell you that have spoken with Casey’s civil attorney on this case, Jonathan Casen(ph), and he said she’s not filling any of it out other than her name and her date of birth, and that’s it. So this will likely go back to court-Greta?
Who is Jonathan Casen? I do not think that M is using anyone else than Baez as he is the one that brought,stupidly I may add, the countersuit against Zenaida and therefore m HAS to answer the questions as has been ordered by the judge already!!!!

I know a little about the entertainment industry and I know that often, deals are made outside of CA to avoid specific laws in connection to entertainment, Hollywood being a big business for that state.
Nejame might not have been the first atty in this case to see Strickland’s authority does not stretch outside the state borders.
We know G was onto Bozo from the start. Bozo had to know it, and proof was in that recently released wonderful jail video. Those of us who have lost loved ones, know what it’s like - that painful, horrific limbo period between the death and the burial. Caylee has been dead since we think, June 16. She STILL is above ground, not buried!! **I just wonder … IS Bozo deliberately dragging his heels with regard to the burial, to PUNISH G for trying to oust him? Even now, while G sits in a mental hospital, **Bozo CONTINUES to drag his heels on this!!!! HOW evil is he, if this is what he is doing? Surely he MUST know this is a horrific UNGODLY agony that he is forcing G to suffer. He can’t EVEN BEGIN to start to HEAL until her funeral. He has suffered quite enough, the 2 women in his life are nuts, Caylee is gone, possible big legal problems with Lee.

Jesse Grund already had a DNA test iliminating him years ago. What good would this do for the defense, especially when the real father probably never knew he was the father….anybody come up with why this important for the defense? I’m sure the real father is not even in that area and will have an air tight alibi that he has no connection to her….

I also think the same thing you do, he has custody of the body from Monster. I think also he wants to drive George nuts for his suggestions of firing him. He knows BOZO is only on this case for himself not M. He is holding this up to create more publicity for him, and making everyone think it is C and G not burying this child. If they don’t have custody of the body they can’t do anything, Ans M will have custody to release the baby because she is innocent until proven guilty. That baby will sit on that shelf until M is convicted and loses rights to the remains in my opinion. It is very sad and would make me crazy and suicidal if my grandchild was in a box and no proper burial in sight and not a damn thing you can do but the whole country is coming down on you as if you have control over it. I honestly think that C and G do not have custody of the body yet, BOZO did last I heard on the news…
Why Jose keeps Caylee from being buried:
Jose has been and will continue to claim that Caylee is not buried because the state will not release all of the evidence of the discovery site to him. He will keep her in the funeral home cooler as long as possible so that in a year at the trial, when people’s memories of the exact details of media events has faded, he can claim every day she was unburied was all LE’s fault.
didnt casey say to her mom that she gave ZFG a key to the house. if that was true wouldnt ZFG have fingerprints all over G&C house. im sure LE worked over that house with a fine tooth comb.i dont remember anything bout a straightner, but i did the key. there are no fingerprints because there is no zanni the nanny.

Sure, they hate each other - G hates Jose because in G’s mind, Jose is the reason M would not originally talk; Jose hates G because G encourages M to do things that will jeapordize Jose’s media deals.
But the really funny part is that neither of them realize they are both being played by M: She tells G she will talk with him alone or any FBI agent or even someone other than the assigned deputies at OCSO, but she never does, then blames it on Jose - he said I can’t; She tells Jose that she will not talk to anyone, then as soon as he goes to NYC to set up money deals for her, she lets CnG in and gives the media the best look at her real character of this whole sorry event.

ORLANDO, Fla. −− Similar human decomposition smells found in a yard and a
car during a search for a missing Orlando girl indicate the source may have
been moved, investigators said Wednesday.
A search for Caylee Anthony, 2, continued Wednesday despite questions about
whether the girl is still alive.
Last week, cadaver dogs searched the Orange County back yard of Cindy and
George Anthony for signs of their missing granddaughter, who was not
reported missing for five weeks.
During the search, cadaver dogs found the smell of human decomposition in
the yard, Local 6 learned.
The dogs also hit on the same smell in the trunk of the car the child’s
mother Casey Anthony, 22, had been driving, police said.
“We had two different dogs from two different counties that hit on the same
exact spot,” Orange County sheriff’s investigator Carlos Padilla said.
The sheriff’s office believes it is possible that whatever produced the
decomposition smell could have been in the back yard and then moved to the
car, Bolden reported.
“Could it have been a body or could it have been clothes?” Padilla asked.
“Again, that is something that has to be investigated.”
The investigation includes processing other items found in Anthony’s car.
“Because they found hair samples in the trunk of the car that are similar in
color and length to that of Caylee and they also found a stain in the trunk
that came up under black light that is questionable,” Orange County
Detective Yuri Melich said. “They also found some dirt inside the car that

Who is public-relations man Todd Black?
WFTV-Channel 9 says it has the answer. Black is convicted felon Gil Cabot, a former FBI agent told WFTV’s Kathi Belich.
Black’s identity has been a topic of speculation for weeks as the Caylee Anthony story has unfolded. Black is working for Jose Baez, the attorney representing Casey Anthony, who is charged with daughter Caylee’s murder.
Belich broke the Black/Cabot story on the 5 p.m. Monday news. She said that Baez wouldn’t see her to answer questions about Black/Cabot of Press Corps Media. And Black/Cabot, who hasn’t shown his face, wouldn’t answer questions either.
But former FBI agent Jack Trimarco told WFTV, based on listening to a recording, “Todd Black is not Todd Black. Todd Black is Gil Cabot.”
Cabot was convicted of trying to extort money from a Los Angeles anchor. That anchor is Jann Carl, who is now with “Entertainment Tonight.” Trimarco told WFTV the Carl case resulted in Cabot’s second prison term.
Press Corps Media told Belich is “does not matter” that the company was founded by “a gentleman who spent time in prison over 25 years ago.”

And, no, I don’t mean OJ Simpson. I guess you haven’t seen some of the opinions many of us have seen that were VERY sympathetic to M. But believe me they exist.
What I was talking about are statements, theories, etc that somehow “morph” into other sentiments that were not intended by the person who originally wrote something.
I’m sure many of you have seen that happen already on this case. A comment becomes a rumor and the rumor spreads and becomes “fact” or something that suddenly a lot of people think is true.
Some of us may think there is plenty of evidence but all BB and the Scream Team have to do is poke holes in it, discredit witnesses, confuse the jury and voila - reasonable doubt. I’m just not the kind of person who counts chickens before they’re hatched. I surely hope it will be a slam dunk and she’s in jail for life but…who knows?

It is possible that at some point some (more) people will decide to defend the “underdog.” And don’t expect those people to be looking at facts or evidence. They’re just going to feel “sorry” for her.

Capy, From what I understand is there is no grandparents rights. Therefore, C&G can holler all they want and it won’t do anything to help this along. The only other thing is maybe conway can go in front of the judge and maybe order baez and casey to either bury caylee or at least release her remains to C&G. The 2nd autopsy has been done and there is nothing else that they can get from her remains. I don’t know what else they can do.

My father committed suicide when I was a year old. I have no patience for people who try to take the easy way out when in most cases they put themselves in the situation that led them to believe they needed to end their own lives.
I’m not heartless, Please don’t take me wrong. I just have no patience for it. So I tell anyone who talks like that to go admit themselves and get real help.

I’m just a realist. I know that my thoughts and my take on this whole sordid case don’t mean much. We all want justice for Caylee. Too bad her family and the defense have forgotten her. Poor little Caylee…no one cared about her when she was alive. Now Baez and Casey are making a mockery of justice and proving how disgraceful they really are.
I don’t think a jury will be able to overlook the defense’s collective attitude of “whatever” when it comes time for the trial. And I do think the prosecution will make the trial about the murder of a child, something that the defense is somehow overlooking.

Jurors deliberated less than two hours Monday before finding Kimberly Trenor guilty. She receives an automatic life prison sentence. Prosecutors did not seek the death penalty.

Paw sorry about ur dad, I’ve had close suicides- not that close- but I feel the same as u about it. My cousin- it destroyed his mother literally- her anger at who she thought was at fault & her guilt at what she thought she did wrong ate her up. One of my bf’s dad really hurt, he was a such a neat guy & I couldn’t believe he took the easy way out b4 even knowing if he had cancer.

Fish - That’s the problem. We don’t hear enough about the GOOD people around us and all the good they do. The news focuses mostly on the bad. We just have to realize that it’s not all there is. Not by a long shot!

Unbelievably kind and good people, many of whom were in very very difficult circumstances. Those experiences helped me a lot because I had just about given up on humanity. Now I know the good guys are out there even if I don’t hear about them very much. So don’t give up or give in, Fish.
