It seems that there are almost no lows that individuals and companies will not go to to sell a product. Jaime Salcedo is living proof. Research reveals a pretty interesting past for Mr. Salcedo, everyone has an entrepreneurial streak it is just that some endeavors are not as productive as others.
A brief look into Mr Salcedo paints an interesting picture, how about a Michael Vic Doll? A chewy dog treat, what could be in worse taste? Vic was clearly in the wrong, but to try and profit from it makes me want to vomit.
Even if you ignore Salcedo’s past transgressions, you have to seriously be concerned by this ‘business man’. It did not take much digging to reveal this quote:
I ordered 2 Vick Dog Chew Toys on Aug. 6th. I sent payment through PayPal. Like everyone else, I have not received my merchandise.
I can think of nothing lower than trying to profit from someone elses nightmare. His latest idea is the talking Caylee Anthony doll. An item that I cannot think will catch on.
A little bit of further digging showed that Mr. Salcedo is hardly unknown to the authorities, as the Attorney General of Florida will attest.
My normal practice is to quote my sources, and link to articles and sources. I just cannot bring myself to do that. I know trash when I see it, and Salcedo is the dictionary definition of the word trash.

In Jan’s article, I think it said wonderful Mr. Salcedo was giving $3. to some Charity.
When Nancy Grace tried to pin him down, NOW it doesn’t know how much it will be giving to a Charity, nor which one. She will have a re-run, in about 50 minutes, 7:00PM Pacific time. AND again at 10:00PM our time.
I missed NG tonight, but plan on catching it too at the top of the hour…

I am trying to look at this objectively. I saw the Man on NG. He said a portions was going to Charity. He Said he didnt know how much yet. The sd he hasn’t sold any yet. They go on sale tomorrow. I don’t see the problem with this if it raises money to stop this crime and find children. I heard NG say how bad it seems, But isnt NG profiting from the exploitation of Calyee Anthony? Is That OK? Is she giving a portion of here paycheck to this issue? The whole thing puzzles me , It is a double standard. Be fair and look at both sides. Fact: The Doll does not look like Caylee Anthony.
I think its morbid, some will buy the dolls, most will not..it didnt surprise me though, i think by the time its done we’ll see alot more merchandise..
I see no value of the doll to any little girl…even us grown ups can’t handle this case, much less little girls..
Jan said on her article, $3. from the sale of each Caylee Sunshine doll was going to Charity. NG tried to pin him down as to how much, wouldn’t say on her program. Doesn’t know either which Charity he will donate to. She will have a book coming out and knows how much will go to Charity, and which Charity. She is way behind him in production. Caylee hasn’t even been buried yet, and here is a doll?
BTW I read many people ordered things from this company, sending in their money, and go NOTHING in return. No satisfaction from them, nor return of money.
I think Nancy Grace has had her show for quite some time, and would have continued with or without Caylee Anthony. She gets her *salary* weekly, I heard her say once. I don’t think she is making money then on exploiting Caylee. If anything she is probably helping Caylee, by helping educate us. Some of us who might possibly wind up on the Jury.
I think the doll looks very much like Caylee, the shape face,the cute little nose, even the hair style. The only thing different is the *color* of the hair, that’s it. It is called Caylee Sunshine. She sings “You Are My Sunshine”, Caylee’s famous song, as we all know from the Caylee videos.

Anything less than %100 percent going to charity is unacceptable. I know sometimes when I post on this blog, I sound like I am a heavy duty “bible thumper”. Not the case, just educated and except for my own relationship with the Lord, this is the only place I keep having to refference Him. The diff is her job is to report the news and even Lou Dobbs who is on after her opened with talking about this case (I really don’t watch him but overheard him talkin about it). She reports on these stories in full details as many as she can get to help either find these children/people or bring justice to them like Caylee.

It’s interesting, I see. Looks like it has the “features” of Caylee, but features can be “off” and very slightly, and it won’t BE the person!

Same hairdo – wrong color, same little nose, same shape face, same huge eyes – BUT a different color, Baseball cap like we see in some photos of Caylee I heard, yet there kind of seem to be “Caylee like features” kind of, but all slightly different and scrambled up! (I am going back to look at the distance between the nose and mouth too.)Certainly NOT beautiful, like Caylee. He said he knew this, and is soooo classy not doing it exactly, isn’t he?
I know from drawing, if you make tue space between the nose and lips longer, for instance, it won’t look like them. Or, if the nose is a little too long, it won’t really “capture them”. I learned in Art, HA, much easier to do a landscape. Nobody says “IT DOESN’T LOOK like “them”.
I guess that’s what is what is going on with the doll and how people are seeing it differently?

The Jacksonville promotions company that announced plans Monday to sell a doll inspired by Caylee Marie Anthony is now suspending its launch.
In an e-mail statement this morning, Showbiz Promotions president Jaime Salcedo stated: “After reviewing the response to our media introduction of the Sunshine Caylee Doll and listening to the advice of the general public We feel that is it (sic) best to suspend the launch of The Sunshine Caylee Doll.”
The company planned to start selling “The Inspirational Caylee Sunshine Doll” today for $29.99. The doll plays the song “You Are My Sunshine” when her bellybutton is pushed.
The blond, 18-inch doll wears jeans and a T-shirt depicting a sun and the phrase: “CAYLEE SUNSHINE.”
News of the product outraged the attorney representing Caylee’s grandparents, George and Cindy Anthony.
“This is an example of another person trying to profit from the tragedy of Caylee’s death,” lawyer Brad Conway said Monday. “He has never met my clients, spoken to my clients and has not gotten authority of any type to do this. And after I have a chance to research it, I will likely take whatever legal action I can.”
How sick can a person get. First profiting off of dogs now a little girl who is gone. The guy finds sad things to expoilt the public.
Lastnight on Nancy Grace the guy had no idea how much money made off of these dolls would go to help any such cause, the guy could not even tell us how much it cost to make a single doll and that by itself is B.S if you owned a company and before you even advertised a single doll you would know the cost.
The guy clearly stated he would have to see how much each doll cost before he could tell us how much they would donate. Now on there website there claiming they will give 100% can you say scam…

I like that on the website for the Caylee doll it says ALL proceeds will go to a charity. Now in interviews Mr. Salcedo is saying SOME of the money would go to a charity. I was one of the fools to purchase a Michael Vick Chewtoy. After about a year from paying and not receiving the toy, I somehow received it shortly after I threatened to contact various Chicago news agencies about their company. I still can’t believe this guy is still trying to sell crap. Maybe I’ll make my own “Jaime Salcedo” doll and sell it online. You would be able to tear his legs, arms and head off in disgust…details to follow!

Lee Anthony’s attorney is speculating that his client may be charged in connection with his actions while his niece, Caylee Anthony, was missing.
Casey Anthony, Lee Anthony’s sister, is charged with Caylee’s murder. Caylee was 2 when she was reported missing in July. Her remains were found near the Anthony family home in December.
His attorney, Tom Luka, said the fact that Lee Anthony has not received a subpoena to testify could signal that the state may be looking to file charges against him. If he was subpoenaed, anything he said at a hearing could not be used against him in subsequent criminal charges.
“There were a number of instances where he was acting on behalf of his sister, or on behalf of law enforcement, that now could be seen as something less than benign or could be seen as hindering the investigation instead of assisting it,” Luka said.
Luka said he fears his client may be charged with obstruction of justice or evidence tampering

I agree with you. The DOGS too, were victims. I have a friend who is a dog Trainer, and he said he was training a young pit bull. When he pulled up on the collar to train him, the dog shook. They are not killers – by nature. Just a HUGE powerful mouth. That is why I believe they choose THEM, to fight for them!
