Same story here. Wells Fargo lost my loan modification request 3 times.
I was laid off from Citi in Feb and my husband had to file bankruocy due to the failure of his business. I agree, until Congress puts legislation in place that forces the banks and lenders to use our tax dollars to help us not just help themselves, I do not think that a thing will change. Banks are in business to make money, they do not give a damn about us. They took the Billions and used them for there own benefit. They are steeling our future with a smile and acting like they care.

I have been trying for 16 months to get my lender, CalHFA to work with me and modify my loan, to no avail. (I was CURRENT until 12/08!).They have been telling my attorney that they are "working on something" to help homeowners. My property went before the foreclosure committee on 3/30/09. I am waiting to hear the news. I have my attorney, my mortgage insurer and NACA trying to get some movement from them with no results. CalHFA WANTS my house...I think they are getting into the Real Estate market. What I can't understand tho, is why they want someone else's short sale, when I could easily pay them the same amount??

I am facing forclusre also. My lender Wachovia/Wells Fargo has no good programs that are of any help. Basicly a refinance I would not qualify for being unemployed and now cedit rating is gone.
The goverment nees to help the people and make sure the banks do what they are told to do and not taking the monry to bail themselves out.
No help for me here is Southern California.
