The protests are justified and essential. In the dying hours of George Bush’s presidency he and his ghastly administration have sunk to a new low in their ignorant and unconditional support for Israel. It is wrong - and all of us should protest peacefully against it.

Nisar I believe you hit one of the points to be made it is too complex to solve, such as;

Tribes, clans, mulititude of religions, multitude of different political groups, internal power struggles, only scratch the surface.

Keeping the status quo for many means they keep oil wealth flowing and those in power to remain in power.

I appreciate Rich’s comment but the it is also true that the Arabs have failed to form their own political power through their oil wealth and Islamic values which is shared by 1400 millions of Muslim in 30 Non Arab Muslim states. This is one of the main reason why Palestine issue is not being solved. THE OTHER PARTY IS WEAK IN SPITE OF STRENGTH

As long as the “demonstrators act like this, your cause will suffer.

And there are a thousand videos like this one which do nothing good for your cause. If you want to help palestinians, you should protest AGAINST Hamas, Fatah, and the other terrorist organizations in Gaza and Judea and Sumeria.

This is what they do to Palestinian children.

Until you do this, you are supporting terrorism and the murder of Palestinians and Jews alike.

Palistinian demonstrations are necessary and it does not negate other issues in the news.

The media decides what will be on the news not neccesarily the other way around.

The demonstrations and boycotts, even though symbolic in some cases, are necessary.
In fact, Palestinians themselves should resort to only peaceful and non-violent means to protest the occupation.
