As the holidays are finally over, I am finally able to start getting back into the swing of things after two weeks of being away from blogging and all things Peer Abuse. Now, I am finally able to catch up and boy and figured a continuation of the Rock of Love Charm School scandal involving Sharon Osborne and Megan Hauserman was in order.
I was able to watch this Rock of Love Charm School Reunion last night on Vh1. The show itself was a good one where we were updated on the various happenings of the contestants and what they were able to learn and accomplish from the school and how some are applying these lessons in their daily lives. It was good to see these ladies use their social graces and many appreciated Sharon and what she had done for them.
Towards the middle of the reunion, Megan was brought to the stage. She was intoxicated; it was obvious. Osbourne was sober and very much a lady. Another contestant by the name of Cindy “Rodeo” Steedle was brought to the stage when Megan was. When Rodeo was talking with Sharon, Megan kept interrupting and putting Rodeo down. Rodeo was calm and composed despite Megan’s insults. At one point, Megan insulted Rodeos son which prompted Rodeo to get annoyed. At some point of the conversation, Osbourne made an honest comment that Megan should not be allowed to procreate. It was not said in a vicious manner and I think this is something anyone with half a brain would understand. This prompted Megan to spew a line of insults about Ozzy Osborne and the children. Much of what Megan said was “bleeped” out but by the reaction of the audience, it was really bad. Sharon stood up, excused herself in a calm manner, picked up a glass full of red liquid and threw it on Megan. The next thing shown was a huddle of security gathered around the two ladies and Megan being pulled off of the stage. What was not shown was Sharon Osbourne hitting Megan in any form. I did not see her fist touch Megan’s nor was Osbourne’s hair a mess. If she had been in any physical altercation, I would think Osbourne would have had scratches on her and hair completely in disarray. Now, Vh1 could have had her go backstage and pull herself together and edited around this but from what I could see, Osbourne did not appear to be damaged. You could see Megan’s hair was a mess but with all of those people that went to the stage, anyone could have pulled at Megan. The bottom line was that Osbourne threw liquid on Megan but that was the extent of what was shown. I really do not think Sharon hit Megan at all.
Hauserman crossed a line twice on that show. First, she said something degrading to Rodeo about her son. Osbourne agreed with Rodeo that she crossed a line. Then Hauserman proceeded to insult Sharon’s husband and children. Folks, when someone is not well as is the case of Ozzy Osbourne, they are deserving of compassion, not insults. Whatever Rodeos financial status or what is occurring with her son, neither did not deserve to be bashed by Megan. From what I could tell of the situation, Megan was trying hard to push the buttons of both ladies. Intoxicated or not, she said what she did. Besides, when one is intoxicated, they tend to be honest and more so than if they were sober. I believe Megan was aware of what she was doing despite that. She knew both ladies would get upset by those comments. She heard Sharon say something about her comment about Rodeos son was crossing a line. She’s not stupid; she’s very smart and shrewd if anything.
Some may disagree with me and consider this a cat fight. That’s fine, we are all entitled to our opinions. Some may think that because Megan was intoxicated, she was not aware of what she was saying. Megan is insulting and cruel with words whether sober or drunk. All I saw Sharon do was throw liquid on her and I think she did so not only because of what was said about her family but what she said to Rodeo and basically because of Megan’s behavior itself. People start to get irritated by bullying behavior and many times, they bite their tongues until they have had enough. I think last night was the straw that broke the camels back and Sharon had enough. So she reacted but did not see her hit Megan. This is the case in many school shootings; the bullied kid has enough so he snaps. Sharon snapped by throwing the drink on Megan. So again, I wonder who the real bully was in all of this?

Thanks Katvolley13 for letting me know that. I wondered about that with the charges Megan pressed against Sharon. I wondered if that was why a lot was edited. I really think Sharon had enough and the only way she could let Megan know this was by throwing the drink and then attacking her. I do not advocate violence whatsoever. However, in this case, I see it as someone who was sick of Megans verbal bullying and reacted on the spot. She snapped and was not thinking. This happens a LOT in these bullying scenarios.

There is no non-vicious way of saying that someone should not procreate. Sharon, prodded by Megan, thought of the meanest thing she could say, and Megan met her in kind, then the older lady acted less mature.
Throwing water over someone is an assault. You do not have to hit someone for this to be the case.

I haven’t followed the show and but I am familiar with the players and I also watched the videos. Sharon is, without a doubt, the aggressor. Megan is an idiot but being stupid and ignorant isn’t a misdemeanor. If Ms. Osbourne is so poised and in control, she let a perfect teaching moment pass her by. Either that or she has no idea what the premise of Charm School really is. The bottom line is, she blew it.

You’ve written a fairly good summary of the incident. One thing I cannot agree with, however, is that Sharon made the comments about Hauserman’s ability to procreate in a nonvicious manner. C’mon, how do you suggest that someone get neutered to prevent procreation and NOT mean it viciously? Osborne may not have said it violently or loudly, but she most certainly said it viciously.
Here’s the bottom line: Megan Hauserman is a dim-witted, expressionless reality-show attention whore getting her 15 minutes of pseudo-fame. Meanwhile, Sharon Osborne is a tough, savvy, intelligent and very successful businesswoman.
But Ozzy’s better half has has a bit of the attention whore in her as well. How else do you explain why she would put herself in a position where she’d have to deal with vapid, emotionless robo-skanks like Megan? And didn’t she make a complete hypocrite of herself by reacting to Megain in the way that she did? Charm School my ass. Mrs. Osborne is also a little bit TOO pro-plastic surgery for my tastes.
In any case, if you’re serious about being a reporter, don’t play favorites. There were no heroes in this incident - just entertainers.
First of all, Megan is not a nice person. She displayed some of the worst behavior from a woman during her time on various VH1 reality shows. Megan is a liar, mean-spirited and takes every opportunity she can to make people look and feel stupid. Like Sharon told her.. she is a bitch. Yes, she is smart but she does not use her brain for anything good. She dresses like she is a prostitute. She started the whole procreation bit and was obviously drunk, unlike anyone else on the show. From what I could tell before the bleeping started she was saying, “The only thing you’ve managed to do as a celebrity is wash your husband’s… (bleep)”. The VH1 website lets a little more of the dialogue come through.
I think Sharon is great. I don’t care what anyones opinion of her is. If Megan said something like that about me or my family she would have walked away with a black eye too. Who knows which woman really pulled Megans hair.. maybe it was Rodeo. Either way she deserved it.

To everyone else… get over the violence thing and your opinions about Sharon’s plastic surgery or choices when it comes to what show she appears on.
Watch the show again and you will see that Megan started the procreation conversation. She said that her dog “had her female purse removed”, that procreation is not always the answer and that the other girls could learn something from that. So who intentionally made a vicious remark first? Megan. Sharon was very nice to her until she had heard enough. Bitches always get what they deserve and Megan is no different.

True, Sharon was probably out of line when speaking of Megan and the procreation. However, it was Megan who started that. She talked about her dog recovering from an operation and did make a comment about some people in the audience should do the same or something to that effect. Then Sharon said what she did. When I say it was not in a mean manner, I mean she did not yell it but said it in a very calm manner. But I agree, nobody should tell anyone that even though some are not cut out to be parents.
As for playing favorites or picking sides, I am well aware that in journalism, ones opinion cannot be said but facts only. However, this is a blog, not an article for a publication and in blogs, the writer basically states his/her opinion. This is not a matter of favoritism or sides; the point of this blog was to make the reader aware of who the real bully was in all of this. Sharon was the one who reacted and is stuck with the charges pressed against her. However, Megan was egging everyone on. She was rude to Rodeo and Sharon both. Rodeo handled her calmly and Sharon tried to until she had enough and she reacted. This is what happens when bullying occurs. The bully keeps pressing the buttons and the target reacts which leads to them taking all blame for the incident and its not right. I saw Megan on this show and those four episodes were spent plotting, manipulating and decieving without remorse on her part. I have been told that she behaved the same on Rock of Love and I Love Money. Her behavior was down right pathological and scary. Sharon does not go on television behaving like this nor does she have the reputation of being a troublemaker like Megan does. The bottom line is that Sharon will be punished with charges while Megan started the whole scenario with her comments and is not punished. So again I ask……who is the REAL bully here? Who is taking the rap for something they did not start. True, Sharon probably should not have lost her temper. However, Megan was pushing her buttons and Rodeos over and over with her words. Think about it….

Elizabeth, I agree completely. While some might say that Sharon should have kept her cool many would react the same way when their family is attacked. If anyone who commented here had taken time to really observe Megan they would understand why so many feel like she got what she deserved. I have never seen someone so manipulative and mean, all the while thinking they are so much better than everyone else. For anyone who doesn’t believe in karma.. do a search and find a picture of Megan’s “injury”.. that is karma baby. I just hope it didn’t ruin her quest of being a trophy wife or her schedule which she was nice enough to tell us about when she was expelled from Charm School. “Layout, tan, eat sushi and tan”. What an amazing person.. not!
How can anyone take up for someone who’s life ambition is to be a trophy wife? Megan is a fake, plastic, fame hungry, insecure little girl who has to wear a bathing suit everywhere she goes to feel better about herself. She can’t get a decent acting gig so she goes on one reality show after another. Sharon is married to a rock star who she managed, who had her OWN reality show, no one can debate that Sharon is a very wealthy successful woman. Megan thinks she is so much better than everyone else, which is quite hilarious considering she is on the same reality show as all these other girls. While on Charm School she was mean to everyone, manipulated everyone, made fun of her supposed BFF, Brandi C., behind her back. Come on people this is a girl that talks through her nose, who’s face is set in a constant snarl making her look like she is smelling poop, who says she does nothing but eat sushi and tan everyday. The girl deserved what she got, actually she deserved way worse. For those who are commenting and haven’t watched Charmed School, go watch it before commenting and find out what kind of cold hearted witch Megan is for yourselves. I am glad that someone finally wiped that ugly snarl off Megan’s face and taught her that you do not talk about someone’s family, especially their children without them taking action. I will always treasure seeing Megan dragged off the set with her hair a mess, bawling her eyes out. That is classic, thank you Sharon Osbourne for doing something I’d of liked to of done myself.
Sharon Osbourne is so rich that I truly believe that no matter what she ends up having to pay Megan that she’d of payed more to of had a few more minutes alone with Megan. Megan couldn’t even defend herself against a women twice her age and then she cried when Sharon pulled her hair? I’d love to see Heather fight Megan because I bet Megan would come out a lot worse than Daisy did. Out of all the girls on ROL, I’d have to say Megan is the one I hate the most.
