Correct me if I'm wrong, but the Gaza strip wasn't really Israel's for the taking to begin with and it's not like giving it back is some great mitzvah. I'd also like to point out that Palestine did attempt to negotiate with Israel in early 2000 when they gave the military to Arafat and had a new prime minister publicly point out Palestine's shortcomings in joint speech with Sharone. Sharone refused to acknowledge that Israel had done any wrong and squandered what might have been the greatest chance at peace in this decade.
Israel's hands are not as clean as you might paint them to be and for what it's worth, I come from a Jewish family.

It is not so much called the so-called "anti-war left" that is the issue. How has this been charactorized, and framed, presumably by the right. Do all people on the right want war? I don't think so.

We are in a war in Iraq now for reasons known to be finding WMD period. Not to make a democracy in Iraq, and not to replace Sadam.

It remains to be seen if anything can be labeled "mission accomplished" in Iraq.

That being said moving on to the Isrealy Gaza issue. Maybe we should be asking more questions then choosing sides. Why is there missles coming out of Gaza toward Isreal? What would make them do such a thing? Labeling them terrorists, finatics and the sort will not resolve this issue.

I am not choosing sides. Frankly both sides are loosing on this conflict and will continue to do so untill they have concrete peace talks, gradually building trust.

I presume that you must be able to sleep at night despite aligning yourself with a regime that now has the blood of more than 500 innocent men, women and children on their hands. I wonder how you do that?
