Very biased review of Google & Gmail - it wins hands down over hotmail. As above labels work just like folders. Gmail handles 99.9% of spam correctly. Hotmail handles about 50% of legitimate mail as SPAM!. Gmail lets you use POP3/IMAP, hotmail doesn't. Gmail has really easy to use rules & filters, Hotmail does not. the list goes on & on.

I hope Google is smart enough to sleep with one eye open. Microsoft has a record of copying good ideas from their competition to crush their competition. I love Google's tools and use them over Microsoft every chance I get. Why? Because I feel they are better.

I don't get the "Gmail does not allow you to create specific buckets..." Of course, it does ! Just create a label. You'll get all related e-mails under that label, exactly like in a folder. I guess they could have used 'folder' instead of 'label' :)

Again, this is one of those articles with the similar tune. You may find tons on the recent years, but clearly, they are wrong. the only way they can be right is they keep writing things like that, because things changes because of what is written in the Internet. But this won't change the fundmentals.

I don't see google win in any business sense. clearly, google is losing in search regardless how much shares they have. what do you think google is without making money in search? NOTHING.
