Santa will have to wait another year to make that determination. For the rest of us, we can only rely on news reports. Lee Anthony was vocal at the beginning of the Caylee Anthony search, claiming his sister was not the murderer, and he would stand by her through this terrible ordeal.
Time may not solve crimes, but it certainly puts them in some perspective. Lee was outspoken in the beginning, then dropped off the Anthony map. Too busy we were told, has a business to run we are told. Why then, does he suddenly feel the need to retain legal council?
Even stranger is his legal adviser, Thomas Luka. A search of the Orange County Clerk Of Court site has no records of who this person is. A quick explore in the world of Google did reveal some information, Thomas Luka is indeed a lawyer. His web site is www.lukalaw.com and he claims to have experience with a wide variety of cases.
Of course I wanted to find out more, there was one page on his site that I wanted to explore, it claimed that he had been featured in both print and TV for his good deeds.

Maybe this is indicative of the entire case? Few of the links make any sense. George and Cindy spent huge amounts of time being in the spotlight, but not actually doing anything, Casey enjoyed the spotlight, but only if it involved a pole, and certainly did little to find her missing child, unless she was convinced that Caylee was lurking in a night club, maybe masquerading as a judge in a hot body competition.
Lee has remained a bit of a dark horse, but this latest development suddenly throws him into the primordial soup that this case has become.

Wasn’t there some “code-like” language between Lee and Casey where he asked if she had “written that letter yet?” Do you think the “letter” could have been directions to the body? I am a retired biochemist and just for fun a few years ago I took required courses for certification in forensic profiling and DNA analysis.
Frankly, if Baez doesn’t convince his client to cop a plea (which she probably could still do), he is going to find himself struggling just to keep her off of death row.
Despite the internet searches for “neck breaking” etc. and the levels of chloroform in the trunk of her car, neither of these can be linked to the body via autopsy or anything else. I will be absolutely stunned (and I would question the data) if any evidence of chloroform can be identified in the hair and certainly not in the bones. In order for hair samples to retain evidence of exposure to the chemical components of chloroform, she would have had to ingest it over a period of time and this just didn’t happen.
I have little doubt that she murdered her child, and I have a feeling a jury will come back with murder 1 but Baez is going to have “tit for tat” forensic interpretation which might end up canceling each other out. Maybe a plea and a life sentence is good for both sides.

I’m afraid that some of us think that BB is representing HIS best interests. NOT M’s (our nickname for murdering maggot monster - so that HER name doesn’t get the spotlight. We want the spotlight to stay on Caylee).
Anyway, if he goes thru with the trial - no matter what her sentence - he’s good for many a talk show and future clients. If he cops a plea for her well he fades out of the limelight and back into obscurity where he belongs. The state has given M at least three chances - partial immunity (rejected); then she wrote to the sheriff and asked to speak with her father (BB intervened and squashed that) and then on the way to jail the last time LE said this way is to jail and that way is to the sheriff’s office where you can talk with us more. She chose to go to the sheriff’s office, called BB and he basically said “shut up and go to jail.” So she never spoke more to the cops. He’s gotten her to refuse every chance she’s had. I have to think it’s more for his sake than hers. Now she has NOTHING to deal with. The body is found. Too late for her.

Just found this web site and find all the comments very interesting. I have been suspicious of Lee for a long time. Not sure what it is, but I wonder if he put the body where it was found? Maybe she had buried it somewhere else. Very odd about his lawyer. The code they spoke made their conversations sound very un-normal and it was noticeable right away. I have never seen anything like this case. Glad to have found this blog!

Just me??? or does anyone else think that the “June 9″ date - Casey saying that was the last time she saw Caylee - is one of the most significant clues in this case that Casy is guilty as sin?
If indeed someone had kidnapped her kid, she would know the last date and time she saw that kid and would have no reason to say anything else.
The fact that she goes along with this June 9 BS is so telling that she caused Caylee’s disappearance.
I think we can look for the prosecution to hammer this home and make a huge point for the jury.

I don’t think any of the family even knows the truth anymore…they have told so many 1/2 truths and lies they more than likely believe them. I just find it horrid that their own dog possibly helped scatter the dear little childs bones.

To me the fishiest part of Casey’s June 9th date was that she was so specific about not seeing Caylee for 31 DAYS!
Most people would have said ‘about a month’ NOT exactly 31 days.
And then the whole family totally forgot that they saw Caylee on June 15th & were still using Casey’s June 9th date up until someone unearthed the Father’s Day video.
It seems to me that the FIRST thing any normal family would do if a child turns up missing is to check a calender IMMEDIATELY and discuss when anyone saw her…. not just go along with any old date a KNOWN pathological liar throws out.
I think the June 9th date was more than just a mistake by Casey. I think it will tie into her planning to kill Caylee somehow.
Oh and I wanted to say… I love how Lee arrogantly uses the same exact line his pathological, sociopathic sister used…. conducting his “own investigation.”
Funny how not one single person in that family could be bothered to conduct ANY type of ‘investigation’ into making sure Caylee was safe by finding out where she was being taken during the days while Casey was making believe she had a job. This family KNEW there was never really a nanny. George himself said when he asked Caylee about her nanny, Caylee didn’t know what he was talking about.

Why was Cindy always upset when she felt L.E. or searchers were looking for a dead Caylee, and not a living Caylee? My granddaughter at the age of 2 1/2 spoke about her babysitter and what they did during the day. Also I knew where she was and the sitter knew where to reach me in case of emergency as well as my daughter.

New to site. To answer one of the posts above, the went to visit grandpa because it was ‘fathers day’. Cindy brought the camcorder to record it or take pictures, whatever.
If you listen to Lee’s interview (about 2 hours) with police when this first occurred, you will hear how and why the date of the 9th came up. Lee totally throws Casey under the bus in this interview.
I think Casey has something on all of them and that is why they were sticking up for her, so that she doesn’t tell on them. Heck, I think the “who’s your daddy” could not only be ’sick bro Lee’ or ‘papa George’ (after all he had 1200 compromising pictures of casey on his computer that he didn’t tell Cindy about), but I also think “good ole uncle Rick” could maybe be the daddy! He sure went to great lengths to convince Cindy that Casey is a liar and can’t be trusted with anything she says, and he did it at risk of his sister never speaking to him again. Somebody in that family is afraid that Casey is going to spill the beans. I can’t wait!

As far as I am concerned, they have all obstructed justice and need to be held accountable. Playing all these games with Casey when they know how manipulative she is in the first place! Nobody gave a damn about Caylee or finding her. They were all so focused on Casey and what she made them believe, that they lost site of all reality. They should all be in a cell together and can lie till they die. (after all, Casey is the one who said, “everybody lies. everybody dies”.

Dee, I’m not so sure the reason they all kowtow to the sociopath is because Casey ‘has something’ on her family.
I think they are SO used to stepping on eggshells when it comes to the ungrateful, lazy & self-centered monster that they have forgotten HOW to behave like normal people would. They have learned to EXPECT nothing but lies and tantrums from this monster that they’ll bend over backwards to avoid setting off yet another episode.

And she goes on to ask WHO is taking care of Caylee? If she had a glimmer of hope that Casey’s nanny lie was true, she would have said she hopes the NANNY is taking care of the missing Caylee while Casey was busy…. not WHO is taking care of Caylee.
This whole family KNEW Casey was headed towards a total meltdown & yet they did NOTHING for a full month after the monster ran off with the baby they claim to love. Fear of Casey isn’t driving their guilt… it’s their OWN NEGLIGENCE that allows them to be swept up in Casey’s lie that some outsider is responsible for Caylee’s death.
They ALL played a HUGE part in Caylee’s death, either by actions or INACTIONS.
And if that’s not sad enough….. their ONLY concern now is protecting a child killer from being held responsible for her own behavior.
Well I TOOK FORENSICS AND CRIMINAL JUSTICE AND I CAN TELL SHE DID SOMETHING TO THIS CHILD SO SHE COULD GO HAVE HER FUN AND I HAVE NO DOUBT IN MY MIND THE BROTHER IS SOME HOW INVOLVED. IF THEIR FATHER USED TO BE A COP THEY KNOW HOW TO GO AROUND THIS EXCEPT WHEN IT COMES TO EVIDENCE, THE PROBLEM WITH THE MOTHER IS SHE ONLY CARES FOR HERSELF SHE DOES NOT CARE ABOUT ANYONE ELSE. SHE KNOWS HOW TO MUNIPULATE THE GUYS. LIKE HER ATTORNEY. SHE HAS TOLD SO MANY LIES SHE DOESN’T REMEMBER ALL OF THEM SO SHE KEEPS STICKING TO HER LIES. i CANNOT HELP BUT THINK SHE WAS RAISED A SPOILED BRAT AND HER MOM SEES THAT NOW AND SHE FEELS PARTLY TO BLAME FOR RAISING SOMEONE WITH NO FEELING TOWARDS THEIR OWN CHILD. THEY SHOULD PLAY NOTHING BUT CAYLEE VIDEOS AND MAKE HER WATCH THEM EVERYDAY. SOMETHING HER AND HER BROTHER NEED TO REMEMBER IS MAYBE THEY THINK THEIR GOING TO GET AWAY FROM THE COPS BUT GOD KNOWS WHAT YOU DID AND YOU WILL HAVE TO ANSWER TO HIM, AND YOU CAN’T LIE TO HIM LIKE YOU HAVE DONE WITH THE COPS OR THE MEDIA. THAT POOR CHILD DIDN’T DESERVE A MOTHER LIKE HER, AND I HOPE SHE DIDN’T SUFFER WHEN HER MOM WAS PLAYING GAMES SO SHE COULD GO GET DRUNK. JUST LEAVE THIS FAMILY UP TO GOD, HE WILL TAKE CARE OF THEM.
I always felt something strange about the cell phone “pings” at the airport area. Just because M’s cell phone showed IT was there, doesn’t mean that SHE was there. LV could have been there, trying to throw L.E. OFF. After all, being the son of an ex Cop, they KNEW L.E. would TRACE the cell tower “pings”. Since M alianted (BIG TIME!), all her former “friends”, all she has left are her “blood friends” now, her family. I am sure they helped her. If not, WHY the lying? WHY the asking for immunity? Hi Pickles girl!!! Two Betty’s on some of these blogs, so I am “Betty 1″ now.Later.
The only family member I feel may be innocent of all involvement is George. Out of the presence of other family members he seems fairly rational. But when other family members are around he seems to feed into their crazy dysfunctional behavior. And note, I said ‘may’ be. The others I would bet my net worth that they are involved. Especially C. She is a control freak and I have a feeling that is where the sickness in this family started.
