Police Bust Another Nanny Story

As we wrote yesterday, sometimes truth is stranger than fiction in the case of the Florida 6-month-old baby boy reported missing by his parents who claimed their nanny hadn’t returned him Christmas Eve, and the eery similarities to the Casey-Caylee Anthony case.
Miami police arrested Meagan McCormic today and charged her with giving false information after a frantic two day search for her 6-month-old son, Riley. Police determined that the whole thing was a hoax.
McCormic had lured John Buchness, a former boyfriend, to Miami, claiming that she had had his son, Riley Archer. McCormic purportedly miscarried a baby. She then claimed that the fake 6-month-old baby had “disappeared” with a nanny named Camille on Tuesday. Police then issued an Amber Alert.
We pointed out in our first story, Caylee Anthony Case: Another Florida Couple Claim Nanny Took Baby Boy the eery similarity to the Caylee Anthony case: both “nannys” were mysterious. The now infamous Zenaida Gonzales, the woman who purportedly abducted, then murdered little 2-yr-old Caylee Anthony, versus the new “nanny” kidnapper on the block, the “French” speaking “Camille” with no last name or address.
We wrote that even if the story given by the couple were true, the police would be looking at them with a jaundiced eye. Especially after the 5 1/2 month ordeal relating to the disappearance of Caylee Anthony, which ended on December 11 when a meter reader discovered what looked like human remains less than a 1/4 mile from Casey Anthony’s home.
We also pointed out that if the story were true, that a baby boy had indeed been absconded by his nanny, Casey Anthony’s attorneys would latch onto it like rats in a sinking ship as proof their client was telling the “truth”, that Caylee’s nanny had taken her.
Today we learned that the newest so-called “nanny” caper had even more parallels to the Caylee Anthony case: both Casey Anthony and Megan McCormic have been charged with giving false information to the police regarding missing children. While Caylee Anthony was an all too real child, Megan McMormic’s “Riley” was made up.

OMG, what has become of this world? Stiffer penalities for crimes against children! We need to all try to get this enforced.
I can’t tell you how far my stomach sunk when I first read this story. After everything that happened with precious Caylee I can’t even imagine how this woman could invent this sickening story. I hope they lay it to her and if he’s able to, I hope the ex-boyfriend files some kind of charges against her and then lets her know that she’s disgusting and they will never get back together. Thank God she didn’t actually have a baby, because who knows what she would have done to him in order to try to get the bf back!!! I think everyone should send her hate mail to show her that she’s didn’t succeed in getting any kind of positive attention. I wish they could tie her! She’d be another manipulating selfish mother who’s child/ren would suffer. It’s definitely like putting salt in the wound after Caylee’s story.

What is also a sick reality, is what both these young women have done…for the attentions of a male. Are we raising such insecure females, that they give up everything without a thought of the consequences? I know they are a small minority in regards to the publicity, but I can think of a handful of girls I have heard of, in my own community recently, basically doing the same thing… Lying…and using babies as a tool.
Klta99, sounds like susan smith, who drowned her sons so that she might win the affections of a wealthy local man, as well as Diane Downs, that lady who shot her 3 kids thinking she could be with the man she wanted if she didn’t have kids.
These women do these things because they never got the LOVE and ATTENTION at home when they were growing up. All they got at home was put downs and complaints from their families; ( they will never amount to anything; no one will want you when you grow up, why can’t you ever do anything wright?), this are a few of the things they have been told, so when they find a man that wants to be with them, they will do anything to keep him! INCLUDING KILLING THEIR CHILD if the man tells her that he doesn’t want kids right now…then she will oblige him,in the hopes of keeping him.
WTF!!!!! im so sick of hearing this kind of shit!!! what kind of world do we live in !!!!!!!!! now i supose its ok for everybody to kill thier child and say the babysitter did it!!!!!! this fricking pisses me off.where are the laws that say if u kill u die!!!!!!!! WTF!!! we need to change the law!!! u kill u die!!!!! period. why is it baby killers get away with this kind of shit and i have seen people go to jail over stealing a can of soup to feed their children!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! this has got to stop!!!!!!!!!!!! PERIOD!!!!!!
I wish I could go rescue all these kids who are in danger and take care of them :(. I cant understand hurting a small innocent life.
What was this woman thinking? Was she seeking a spot on NG or CNN? Hello! Grow up, cry wolf and then if it ever happens no one will believe you! What a crock of crap! Well, atleast she didn’t drive around town with a dead child in her trunk! What kind of sick shit is that? Florida must have some weird ones there, all these stories are coming from there. Forget the MEN!! Good God! No man or woman for that matter is worth all that! No selfasteam, no morals, no brains! Get a life! But don’t take a life or even act like you did. Stupid people! I wish too I could shelter the unwanted children, I would want them. I think it is going to get worst too, with Caseys fat ass plastered all over the net and TV, these weird asses come out of nowhere. Copy Cat crimes, so sad!! I think we all should send Casey hate mail and tell her what we think. What a waste of flesh she is! And this woman for a man to come back to her after the fake baby story, what a dreamer. Maybe Casey and her can share a cell. They can think up more lies. Piece of shit minds think alike!
I am scared that Baez will try to implicate Roy Kronk {who had to bury his wife who died of cancer}…and now is being hounded by the media..this is soooo UNFAIR! all this Good Samaritan did was persevere his feelings WHICH PROVED RIGHT!…Bless Roy, he deserves the reward…hope he had a media free Christmas!
I begrudge Casey the Chrissy Dinner she was served in Jail…CAYLEE didn’t have one, nor was she able to open presents…all Caylee can expect is the 2nd Autopsy to be done by Baez & his “Sleaze-team”….bless her little bones!
IMO Casey is the most hated person {she brought this on herself}…of course she is innocent until proven guilty of MURDER..maybe this will not be proven…BUT IMO she MUST be convicted for her actions!
My daughter and I prayed for our stillborn grandson/Caylee & all missing children & adults AND OUR TROOPS…wonder if Casey even thought about Caylee????

Crazy western women. The sad thing is they WILL get less time in prison than they would if they really had equal rights (and consequences) as men!
Uh… you realize the only similarity is that somebody made up a nanny? These two cases have nothing else in common (the second lady even made up the baby — and it was over in a few days, not a few months, no homicides involved, just a women who made up a lie to get her boyfriend back, the motives weren’t even similar). Must be a slow news day.
Maybe check out Investigation Discovery’s Casey Anthony (search for it, I won’t give them the honor of a link from here) site for details on that case before making silly blog entries that end up on Google News search results.

I strongly believe that we should start a petition to get these EVIL MONSTERS (No; don’t make excuses for them - they are BABY KILLERS)to die for killing their babies. I think no killing is as bad as a parent killing his or her own baby. When you bring a baby into this world, it is your job, as a parent, to protect and NOT TO KILL!
Does anybody agree with my idea to start a petition? If so, how can we go about it?

It would be best to see if Casey Anthony is guilty before looking for ways to get her executed. The Prosecutor took that off the table and this is not a capital case.
Also, there are definitly worse things than a parent killing a child. There is not sign in the case of brutality to Caylee. The medical examiner has declared this a “homocide of undetermined causes. That is a far cry from rape, torture, and murder in any court of law.
Of course, there are always folks who want to call for brutal executions from the “Get a rope!” crowd.
WHAT is worse than a parent killing a child?? There is nothing more visceral than infanticide, not even patricide, since choosing to have a child is a choice, whereas, who your parents is NOT. A parent is supposed to care for and protect a child - the most basic form of innocent trust since the beginning of man! Rape, torture, sure, they are horrible but there is no presumed concept of trust from the person a child should trust most in the world!! What? You want to give Casey Anthony a prize because there are no broken bones, which is the only form of child abuse which could be diagnosed on autopsy from bare bones alone! I personally have always been opposed to the death penalty but for the first time, I just can’t wait! Yeah, John Lloyd, get a freaking rope!!!! I can’t even believe I read those words, “a LOT worse than a parent killing a child?” YOU are that 1 person I worry will sit on that jury. God protect children from your ilk, nothing worse, indeed!
