Once investigators cleared away from the site where the remains of our little Caylee Anthony was found on December 11th, the area quickly became a memorial site for the child that America fell in love with despite warnings from the Orange County Sheriff’s office for everyone to stay away. Piles and piles of toys, balloons, books and flowers gathered up quickly at a makeshift memorial.
Caylee’s family says they are grateful for the public’s generosity but they are planning to give the stuffed animals, dolls, and toys away to a homeless shelter for children. “This is a lot of love and the love needs to go somewhere other than sitting on the ground,” says Brad Conway, attorney representing George and Cindy Anthony.
In a press conference Sunday where he was speaking on behalf of the Anthony’s he claimed that all the toys will be donated in the memory of Caylee. They will go to children in need. He says, “There are at least 88 children in several families that are homeless and they won’t really have a Christmas, but for the gifts that everybody has given to Caylee.”
He stated that Cindy Anthony said that her granddaughter would have loved to share her toys, and it would have been Caylee’s wish to send these gifts to other kids. “They know that is Caylee were here she would share these… Caylee is not here, she can’t play with these gifts but she’s looking down,” said Conway.
During the press conference Conway also told reporters that when investigators searched the Anthony home Saturday they took clothes and shoes that belonged to both Casey and Caylee among other items. He said even though it was such an emotional time for the Anthony’s they are cooperating with the investigation. “To have the FBI and Orange County Sheriff’s Office and crime scene technicians back in the house, that was very, very difficult for them,” said Conway.
Conway also stated that the Anthony’s would love to visit their daughter, Casey in jail this week for Christmas but since their conversations are recorded they have decided not to. OK now I am not quite sure I understand this. If they have nothing to hide, and if they are so sure that Casey is innocent why would it matter if their conversations are recorded or not? Why can’t they go see Casey and tell her Merry Christmas without worrying about being recorded? Are they afraid of what they will say to her or what she might say to them?
America is in mourning for our little Caylee. Funeral arrangements have been put on hold by the Anthony family. Brad Conway said that services would be held after a second autopsy is performed on Caylee’s remains. A spokeman for Orange County Corrections said that Casey Anthony would not be allowed to attend the services when they are set unless there is an order by a judge to allow her to do so.
“We could handle whatever request comes in, highly unusual. No one ever accused of murder has gone out to see the body of their victim,” Moore said.
Caylee’s remains should be released within the next day according to the medical examiner. Then it will be up to the grandparents to decide what to do with the remains.
Jesse Grund, who is Casey Anthony’s ex-fiance, told Matt Laurer on the “Today Show, that the Casey Anthony he was engaged to (which ended in May 2006) could not have killed her daughter but he doesn’t know what this new Casey is capable of saying he doesn’t know this new Casey at all. Then tonight Grund told Nancy Grace said Casey broke their engagement off because she thought he loved Caylee more than her. He said his response to her was that since he had gotten a paternity test done it should have proven his love for Casey but she wanted him to go from being a father to Caylee to just being another guy in her life. While talking about Caylee he broke down crying saying it was so hard to talk about her.
Caylee will never be forgotten. She has touched all of our hearts. I know I have been hit by this case a lot harder than I expected and I know a lot of others feel the same way. When I go to bed at night I say my prayers and I have a feeling that from now on I will always include Caylee in them. I picture her in heaven playing with all the other children including my twin sons. I know they are all safe and are happy now. That somehow gives me a lot of peace and helps me deal with this whole tragedy. God bless the children and God bless everyone reading this.

I’m concerned about the 910 kids who attend the school and who now must pass by this scene every day. I am 44yr old mother with a 24yr old son and 18yr daughter. The are and always will be my life. I could or would never kill my children. They are my heart& soul. I’m 44 not and it’s my time. I’ll always be here for my kids but it makes me so bad that children are gives from God and if she did this then I hope she burns in hell. She put her self before her daughter and that isn’t a mother.

But what about the kids at the Mission who got the toys from the roadside memorial? What are adults telling them? “Caylee’s dead but that’s okay, here’s the toys people left in memory of her.” I sure hope most of those children are too young to understand.
I do not begrudge gifts for needy kids. Not at all! Just not THOSE gifts! If the Mission needed help and a reporter knew about it, it would have made a very nice sidebar article on a news site to write about the generosity of people for a dead child BUT THAT living children are in need too. I bet there would have been an outpouring of gifts directly to that mission. The public IS generous. They just need to know who is really in need! (Many would have and certainly should still leave gifts at the site of Caylee’s remains - I’m just saying that plenty of people would have donated to the mission too or instead of that.

good morning! I agree MTC, the people who took gifts to the memorial made a choice & it was theirs to make, but C has to have control, she ‘owns’ Caylee in her mind & she’ll say who can do what. She knew it was a slap in the publics face, they don’t think of Caylee- they buried her long ago. What shows they’re chicken sh-ts is that Lee didn’t trot his ass down there & dismantle it himself. It wasn’t on their property & it wasn’t their biz to remove what others kindly built.
I know some think it was better to give to the needy, & I don’t believe in waste either, but that wasn’t a waste to leave a memorial, IMO.
Now they’re supposedly needing $ for their private funeral, why don’t we send them Hawaii for a vacation while we’re at it.

Ok, I”m not sure this is nit-picky stuff, but the Anthonys taking the toys from the makeshift memorial is bothering me.
George and Cindy.. those toys, flowers, cards, stuffed animals were NOT put there for you. They were left in the memory of Casey. They do not belong to you. If anyone wanted YOU to have those items, they would have left them on your property. Whatever items people leave on your private property belong to you, and you can do anything you like with those things. Toss them, burn them, keep them.. whatEVER. No one will say a word.
But, items left on public property belong to no one. If the town wants to clear the area of this stuff, then they will. We see these makeshift memorials many times and places. There is a a tiny one in my town for a teen ager who was killed in a car crash. I think the sign and stuffed toy has been there for over a year! That family didn’t come and take it away.
If someone takes something from their own home or buys something to leave for Caylee, its from their heart. Its meant for Caylee’s memory. If they wanted to send this item to the Childrens Mission (or wherever), they would do it themselves. So, how do these items become the property of George and Cindy? How do they take it upon themselves to go down the street and take things that dont’ belong to them?
I’m sure to some this concern of mine seems frivolous. I’ve tried to give them the benefit of the doubt being they are in deep mourning. But, the chutzpah of this woman amazes me. She can’t just sit and grieve with her family, she has to STILL be directing everyone on what to do.
I hope to God the rumors I am reading about them asking for donations for this funeral are false. Just take those tiny bones to the funeral home and have them cremated and keep them in your home in a pretty urn. That is very cheap. People die every day and their families can’t afford funerals. They make do the best they can with a respectful remembrance for their loved one.

Flash…have you ever heard of teenage mothers who will stop at nothing to have a child cause it’s an unconditional love or void in their life that they are trying to fill? Teens do it all the time, having babies for their own needs and not realizing the extent of what it takes to raise a child. I don’t feel caylee was an accident either. If she kept the baby a secret it was because she wanted her. She could had an abortion and nobody would have known.
So she had the child in hopes that the child would fullfill whatever needs she wasn’t getting met by her parents! They may have allowed her to lie her whole and covered for her but they allowed it. It is well known that children and tweens, teens etc get out of control when boundaries are not set out for them and they are actually very unhappy people.
However, I do feel that she felt very controled by her parents and maybe the need here was to be on the giving end of control over a child and not always the recieving end.
So I think that maggot had shown good intentions on being a good mom as long as her needs were being fullfilled by the child.
Then it starts to become a reality for her that having the child for the reasons she did were not exactly working out for her. Caylee started taking away the positive love and attention that casey craved. She started seeing that the people in her life that she loved seemed to in her mind, love caylee more then her. She started to become resentful of the child she may have deliberatly got pregnant for for her own selfish needs, as that same child started to interefere with her needs instead of fullfiling them.
Her friends say she was such a good mother and jesse even said that caylee came first. I believe she did, but not for long.
That’s when maggot started changing! jesse says the person in the jail is NOT the person he knew. At some point, seems back in May Casey started planning the get of the child that she thought would fix her problems but in turn, created more trouble for maggot then baby was worth.
Her own parents were starting to tell her things like she is unfit and needs to take more resonsibility, all the while she obtained a new bunch of partying friends none of which had any children. She really begins to see the baby as an obstacle and was no longer fullfilling the needs she was created for.
Being a mother was not as fun and fullfilling anymore, and it was becoming harder and harder to be the party girl she wanted to be all the while being the only one who had a child.
Her boyfriend also telling her not to bring baby over to the house. Obstacle! Her family telling her to be a better mom..Obstacle! Her boyfriend telling her he would only want little boys..Obstacle!
Caylee was no longer of any use to her selfish, cold, self centered core!
She wanted her old life back, before the baby whom she thought would fix her problems, that in the end was just another obstacle!
It’s like ( in her mind ) she went to Target and purchased ( a baby) brought her home…tested her out! Decided to return her for a full refund….reason for return

I agree with all the anger from all my fellow bloggers. Just when I think tha Ants cannot manage another travesty, they come out with guns blazing and commit another. First of all the dismantling of the shrine which was on public property. We have seen C and G with hoses and bats screaming at the crowds to get off their property, so now that the public has just done that and left gifts for Caylee on PUBLIC property the ants take the gifts and do with it what they wish. The ball began its tragic roll when LV first ripped the initial gifts off the ground.

What a caring young man and what a sad thing that Caylee did not have a life with him. To be so jealous of the love someone has for your child is so dumb. I use to tell everyone that my ex-husband loved his kids first, his truck second and I came third. That never wanted me to want to get rid of my kids. I was always happy that at least he loved them. I was proud that people loved my boys like I did, I was not jealous.

Good morning! Just wanted to comment on Jesse G’s comment about not knowing M now. What he doesn’t realize is that sociopaths are chameleon and they imitate normal behavior when it benefits them. She was who she felt he wanted her to be. Sociopaths get bored so when she wasn’t getting enough benefit, she found a more exciting lifestyle. She liked the idea of having a child because of the attention she got and the idea that she would get unconditional love.
Children have demands and they require that you come out of yourself and self centered needs to care more for another person. Sociopaths are not capable of this and would really resent the expectations and demands of parenting, which is why she handed the child off to anyone who would watch her. Sociopaths also blame everyone else for their problems, and poor little Caylee became the target for her resentment. Sociopaths view of the world is what people can do for them, and they can be very charming to suck friends in, but it is a one way street.

Hello E1. I have been doing the “firefly” for a while because it got nasty in here again when MAMABEAR and others came back in disguise to stir up sh*t. What a crew! (i’m trying to be nice, i’m Canadian LOL). The day I heard Caylee was identified, I cried a river. I had to try to explain to my 10 yr old. She knows about Caylee, as this all came out when we were in FLA last summer. Very hard to tell your child that some mothers are just broken inside their heads and can’t or won’t love and protect their children. I prayed for Caylee, and yes, for her grandparents too that they honor their granddaughter by giving her the peace and respect she did not have in her oh so very short life. May all of you who have experienced tragedy and loss find the peace and love you need to live life fully with grace and happiness. My very best wishes to all at BNN for Christmas and always.

About maggot being banned from the funeral. Caylee will have the last word! The attention is still on the baby, and will never be on her again except for in jail! The attention that is awaiting her in jail is gonna be way more then she bargained for the day she took that babys’ life.
She would want to be at the funeral for the attention she would get, not for her child! She would think she had the last word while everyone is protecting her at caylee funeral, especially her knight in rusted armour.

NOW, they want immunity. Puleeeeze! Why, so their lying a$$es get saved? So much effort to hide the truth. If they even put in 1/4 of the effort to honor Caylee’s life and death, maybe they could have gleened some sympathy and respect. Not anymore though. I say, too little, too late.

I think it is safe to say that none of us honestly know how we would respond to a situation until we are faced with that situation. As a parent, it’s important to always support your child. Personally, I could not support the murderous actions of my child, but at the same time, my child would know that he is loved unconditionally. As parents, we can’t turn our love for our kids off and on (well MOST of us)!
I think C and G were just not prepared for this type of situation. With the loss of their only granddaughter I can understand why they would want to support their daughter. I think now that Caylee has been officially identified, we will see a different side of the Anthony’s. I don’t buy the argument that they haven’t gone to see Casey because they are recorded. I think finally they are taking time to fully understand the magnitude of what their monster daughter has done.
It is difficult at best for me to believe that George was once a sheriff’s deputy. Has anyone checked on that fact? I wish he would just grow a backbone. I would love to see him stand up to Cindy just once. He is such a weak man.

Jose Baez, I would not hire this man to represent me on a speeding ticket. He is ignorant. Wait, is it him or me? Sometimes, I think his antics are to stir up reasonable doubt (good luck with that). Other times, I just don’t know. Most often he doesn’t seem like he has a defensive strategy in place. Since she has so many high powered people on her team, she needs to get a high powered attorney (Mickey Sherman since he seems to believe in her innocence) who will work her case pro bono. Although I’d like to see her executed, I’d still like to see her receive a just trial so there is nothing to appeal.
I’m still trying to understand why he decided not to go investigate the crime scene for himself. As her attorney, he should be crossing every “t” and dotting every “i”. Hmmm, on second thought, KEEP HIM!!!!

I just read transcript from the Greta show with Jessee Grund. I feel vey sorry for him… he truly loved Caylee. I imagine a big piece of his heart is missing. I am new to blogging, I have been reading this blog since the beginning. I feel like I already know all of you personally just from reading the posts everyday. I love Pickles and her off the wall humor…. I totally agree with all the blogs on M begin a monster and she will pay for her sins. I have a 1 year old and an 8 year old that are my life, I often get frustrated with my 1 year old, but I would never even think to harm her in the slightest way. I hope the Anthony Family is charged also. Cindy and George know alot more than they let on and Lee (whom I think is Caylee’s father) is just as guilty. Hope I am welcome here, not much time to blog but just felt it was time after reading comments every day for the last 6 months.
MotherEve - Maybe the jail worded it that way because typically that’s what happens in normal circumstances of a death -some people want a viewing (even if it’s just mother and family) and then a funeral. Even if C & G or M wanted to view the remains the jail wouldn’t know about that right now would they? No real plans have been made as far as I know. So I think the jail is just talking generally about viewing/funeral/memorial things.
Personally I think the ants should be FORCED to view Caylee’s remains up close - not behind a glass window. Maybe that would wake up C & G to what their daughter did.

I realize that parents should not stop loving a child who’s done wrong. But a parent can still do the right thing and STILL love the child, you know? A fictional example: Dad finds out sonny stole candy at the store. Dad loves kid but marches him right back to the store to return or pay for the candy and to admit what he did and apologize. And then maybe some appropriate punishment at home - like no candy at all for a week (or whatever).
“Love” does not equal “cover up, lie and deny.”
In fact I’m not sure that’s any kind of love at all.
Love to me means teaching a child to straighten up and fly right for their own sake AND everyone else’s. I guess we can see what happens when the parents don’t do that.

You are right on the mark. That is the reason(IMO) that my daughter at 18 got pregnant.. it is epidemic. She has had many prob since then…so sad. Although we were very attentive parents, I believe she did it for all the wrong reasson. Now my granbaby at 2 1/2 is suffering…
but my daughter now is mandated to take ‘parenting classes’.. because DCFS (dep of children & family services) was called in. Thank God that happened… she is doing much better…

I hate to label Casey as a sociopath or psychopath or whatever the best label is today because it is an attempt to explain and rationalize behaviour that is not rational or explainable.
Casey is one of that class of human beings who not only bring nothing of value to the world, but work actively to destroy anything of value which they come in contact with as long as it furthers their own dreams. Historical examples include Hitler and his Nazi cohorts, Stalin and his cronies, in this country McCarthy and his followers, every serial killer you have ever heard about, and Osama Bin Laden. These people are evil, pure evil. They clearly know right from wrong, but are willing to go to any lengths to obtain what they desire, all others be damned.
I don’t think the Ants are using this time to come to terms with what Casey has done. They have known from the moment they picked up the car and the suspicions they already had were confirmed.
I too would love my child unconditionally despite anything they have done, but I would not lie to protect them. To love your child is to want the best for them and to bring that about by setting an example. And as all good parents know, lying cannot save you. Even if you get away scott free from the authorities, you have furthered the destruction of your soul with the lies. As a parent, I would want to SAVE my child, not continue to help them on the path to hell or whatever damnation awaits those who kill their own family. I would stand by my child and support them throughout this process, but the price for evil deeds must be paid.
I think of an interview I saw with Jeffrey Dahmer and his father. Throughout, you can see in his eyes that the father still loves his son. He condemns his son’s actions, he makes no excuses for the killings, he does not ask for forgiveness for his child, but after many years in prison, the father is still there for his son. He has supported his son throughout, without lying and without trying to shield him from the consequences of his actions.
Hi Mindy ~ Nice to meet you! I hear ya, I have two small girls and everyday is a battle of some sort! But because of Caylee, I am trying ( with the trial yet to come it’s so hard for me) to spend more quality time with them. Huggin them and not sweatin every little thing as much. Caylee did NOT die in vain. She left her little mark on so many peoples hearts who’s lives she has changed no matter how small, it’s huge in significance!

I really hope that M does not get the DP, she should have to be put in general population and live the rest of her life in a jail with no chance of freedom, DP is too easy for her for what she did, will suffer more being locked away for her life, no visitors no one to talk to.

Spacely & MTC- I couldn’t articulate that well, ur both right on. If u don’t raise ur kids to obey rules, man’s & god’s, they have a poor chance of getting along in society & the bigger issue, their soul.
I knew I couldn’t always be there to save them from a situation in this world, I will die- that’s for sure & I can’t save them eternally, I don’t have that power.
When my middle son ( who has had oh so many lessons ) was 17 he came to me one morning & told me he’d been at a party & another kid died - alcohol poisening. He was crying & truly tramatized over what happened. After letting him get out I told him he should have stopped it, was a naive kid trying to fit in w/ the cool gang & they egged him on to drink then after he was going in & out kept him drinking ( the girls mother where the party was was there & after they couldn’t revive him they called her cousin sheriff - small town shit ). I was sick because he saw it, sick because he didn’t stop it or leave & get help, sick because he had to learn lesson so that he didn’t become numb to anothers suffering.
Long story short, we took him to meet the kids mom, this happened in another town- we didn’t know her. I called her & asked if she’d like to talk to my son & tell him who her son was to her & her family, she very much did, we went to her house & they talked, we paid for part of the funeral, she had no $ no husband 4 younger kids, we went to the funeral. Out of the 30 - 50 kids at the party that night ( the mom was dealing dope out of there no doubt ) we were the only ones who took responsibilty, a couple of drama girls were at the funeral & a couple of the boys who went to school w/ him. She thanked my son, wasn’t mean to him when she talked to him, she was grateful. My son took note that those who pushed the drinking didn’t care, & he had never met the kid before that night, they had grown up w/ him. Sad what happens in the world. Sorry for the length, I still cry about it today, not only for the boy who died but for what it did to those who were party to it & those who witnessed it. And my son did try to get the others to stop, but he succombed to peer pressure & I expected more out of my kids.
Dahmer was arrested multiple times before that for lesser offenses, but perhaps my statement of “many years” was too strong. You are correct that he was only in for the two years.
However, my point was that throughout his life, his father supported him, but did not support his crimes, nor did he start a campaign of misinformation. I am not raising up this man as the example of what we should all be if found in this situation, just pointing out that the Ants behaviour cannot be explained away as “protecting” their child.

Your point was well made, Spacely. What a dilemma when you feel responsible for producing a murderer, whether they are born broken or made that way, they are still a ruined human being. If the Ant’s were in true denial they would be at her side, but they are not. Since they know she is a killer, they should acknowledge the tragic situation and be honest.

i am 26 years old i have a nine year old son named christian and a 7 year old girl named brianna they are from two different dads i had my son at age 15 months away from 16 and my daughter at 18.my dad died when i was 4 and my mom was always on drugs she then died when i was pregnant with my daughter i had one older brother that died when when he was 12 and i was 4 just a few months after my dad died i have an older sister but we dont talk cause of all of our family problems both my brother and my sister are from different dads i am the youngest. i left my sons dad when my son was only 3 months old cause he beat me and left me in a coma for almost 7 days i stayed with my childhood friend for a while cuse i had no family and i was only 15 with a baby i then met my daughters dad while working 3 jobs when i was 17 on my own with my son a year and a halfe latter i had my daughter and got married to her dad about 5 months affter she was born he fled the us cause i had him loocked up for beating me i was then teft with two kids at age 18, no job, i got evicted from my appt and found me two jobs and rented a room from people just making ends meet. i am now 26, my son is 9, going on 10 and my daughter is 7 i have worked my A off with no high school diploma, no child support from neaithe fathers they work under and live under false info so the gov cant find them and i have never seen them scence. i have never lived off welfair or any other assistance and i am now studding phybotomy and working a full job as administraitive asistant and taking tutering classes to finish the only part of my GED i didnt pass MATH. i have done all of this with no pearents, no babys fathers and no familly at all.My ive been abused by my mom, her late husbent and my two ex husbents.Nothing has ever ben given to me.my whole point of this long storry of my life is that all this has happend to me but i have never thought of harming my children not even giving them up.I never thought of them as my mistakes or as burrdens i look at them as the only thing given to me in my whole life and as my shinning stars that have gotten me througt all of my pain and hurt they have been my angels guieding me through everythin if i didnt have them i think i would have not been here today.

Val - I don’t think they will ever acknowledge the truth of the situation. I don’t think they are clinging to any hope that Casey is really innocent or even that this was some horrible accident. But from the e-mails I have read and the text messages and the statements from friends and family, it seems they have never acknowledged her bad behaviour in a public setting, although they did seem to fight about it at home.
And I think she is a product of their raising. If you have read the e-mails from the family, it becomes clear that George and Cindy have an established pattern of rewriting their personal history to suit the story of the moment and no reference to past facts will dissuade them. Can you imagine taking your clearly pregnant daughter to a family wedding, then telling people she is just putting on a few pounds, like every woman there would not know the truth immediately?

About Jesse: I understand what he’s saying about M not being the girl he knew. However I truly hope that his carrying on about that - how many times have we heard it now? - will not help the defense with a PPD or some kind of mental problem that set in. You know what I mean?
Besides it’s quite common for a girl (or a guy) to act a certain way to impress a beau and then later (often after the wedding unfortunately) the other person finds out they are quite a different person. I think that’s what happened with Jesse - only with a very polished chameleon.
M is very good at being the kind of person that whoever she is with will like. One of her old friends said that. If new boyfriend liked football then sure M was a big fan. If next boy friend hated football then so did M. So “whoever” she was when Jesse dated her was probably another act on M’s part to be the person that Jesse would be attracted to. It doesn’t mean she really “changed” later.
What we’ve seen of her lies, her stealing, her disregard and contempt for others, her temper, her lack of affection for her child, etc. That’s the REAL M.

The Ants new attorney speaking about the Ants…does giving evidence meant to be misleading as with the hair brush really count as “full cooperation”? Is washing evidence also cooperation? Changing your story multiple times after your initial 911 call?
Weren’t they out of state when the first warrants were issued? So, how did they give evidence before that? Any items they gave before the body was found were not given as evidence, but as clues to help find Caylee (although since some of it was bogus, it does not seem to have been freely given).

It’s been a while… (my internet security guard/teenager is letting me chat for a while…:) )
I just listen to the Meter Reader calls and it sounded like the last 8/13 911 call the police were dispatched to the area - did I not hear this correctly? If this was the case, then why was the ‘items’ not discovered at that time
has this been talked about? i think there is something “fishy” with the meter reader and all 3 911 calls - who else thinks this, or am i looking too much into it?

One of the cops was scared away by a snake….a large snake..and the other two are under official ivestigation…I think the meter reader used that spot to pee…and in August he saw the bag and did what he shulda and called it in..I think the cops dropped the ball…

Judge Orders Release of Caylee Anthony EvidenceORLANDO, Fla. — A judge ordered prosecutors Tuesday to turn over photos and X-rays of the remains of Caylee Anthony to defense attorneys for her mother, who is charged with murdering the Orlando toddler.
Orange County Circuit Judge Stan Strickland granted the request by defense attorneys who say those and other items, such as microscopic slides and autopsy reports, are needed so defense experts can conduct their own autopsy. Last week, the chief medical examiner in Orlando ruled the death a homicide, but said how Caylee Anthony died may never be known
The sheriff’s office is investigating the response of deputies and dispatchers to those phone calls. A deputy came to the area after the first call but couldn’t locate Kronk. The second call was referred to a tip line set up after Caylee’s disappearance. A deputy met up with Kronk after the third call but cleared the scene as a place of interest.
In one of the August phone calls, Kronk described “something white and round” underneath a tree in the swamp. Kronk told the 911 dispatcher that he didn’t want to get a better look of what it was because he feared rattlesnakes.
“I don’t know what it is but it doesn’t look like something that should be there,” Kronk said.
In one of the calls, the dispatcher told Kronk to contact the tip line. Kronk was hesitant since he wanted to remain anonymous. The dispatcher assured him he could remain anonymous.
“Not if they find a freaking body,” Kronk said.
A jail spokesman said Casey Anthony will not be able to attend a funeral or viewing for her daughter due to her charges and the associated safety and security risks.
Caylee’s skeletal remains were found Dec. 11 by a meter reader in woods near the house where she lived with her mother and grandparents. The meter reader in August had phoned in his suspicions that something related to the case was in the swampy area. The Orange County Sheriff’s Office on Tuesday released the 911 calls made by the meter reader, Roy Kronk, whose route covered the Anthony home and a school near the woods where he found the body.

Pammy, I think this guy didn’t want to get involved because of that exact reason. He knew what people would say. But at the same time he felt very uneasy about what he saw, Something wasn’t right. He had been working in that area before. So he would know when something isn’t right in an area he is familiar with. More and more people are turning their heads the other way. This is due to the reasons you see with this guy.
So, If this case drags on , like the experts say, then when the verdict of guilt comes back, the defense will have a plan on an appeal.

A few thing that a jury doesn’t go for…
1. Harming of a child causing in death.
2. A mother who doesn’t take the stand in her own defense.
3. Someone who tells to many stories of the truth.
4. A mother who shows no remorse.

My daughter is 10 and my son is 12. They have watched this case as well. It has really opened their eyes to what reality is like in the big world. They are angry with Casey. I know that we don’t give our kids enough credit in this world. But let me tell ya, my kids DO understand what’s going on. I’ve watched my kids cry as well with this case. I had to sit down with them and explain to them that they have options as well. They don’t understand how a mother can kill their child. BUT, they do know it’s not right. My own kids have said over and over again, Why didn’t Casey give Caylee to a couple who don’t have kids. I’m glad my kids got involved with this case because I know now in my heart that they understand a lot more than I thought they did and they learn from stuff like this.

I think the weird part was when the dispatcher told him that he could call the Caylee reporting line anonymously even though he was a city worker and he laughed and said yeah unless there is a corpse there. It just seemed a little strange!

What I found weird about Kronks 911 call was that he mentioned “in the caylee anthony area”…like he knew it was her…but maybe just puttin 2 and 2 together. CA - I think the guy was just trying to tell the dispatcher “where” the bag was (or who could be in it) in a way that would convey its importance. He knew it was close to the ants’ house. Even I know their address and HE’s the local meter reader! So saying the “Caylee Anthony” area makes perfect sense to me.
Why can’t the ants shut the hey up for just ONE WEEK? Just ONE? Is a week of private mourning (or whatever they are doing) in SILENCE too much to ask? Especially over Christmas?

Well my opinion on the first 911 call is that the guy is getting the brush off from 911 like he’s some crackpot. LE dispatcher had no intention of following up. The tips line is where all the psychic and crap calls went. So they were just blowing him off. LE’s fault totally. I guess LE had already gotten so many false or misleading calls they just weren’t responding the way they should anymore. Part of what was deleted from the call is his name to protect his privacy. Ultimately it was up to him to make himself public.
i think its dispicable to ask for donations, and to have 2 autopsy, i heard its common in cases but they arent gonna find anything new i would want my loved one resting as fast as possible, the defence cant have much of a case tip line my ass, they are gonna go after e1 caracter, wasnt the meter reader in the military to thank god for him and his nagging feeling i think that just proves the body has been there for the whole x and not planted! at least she has been found!!! boy i hope my daughter doesnt try and wake me up to early tomorrow, one year she tried to get me up at 3:30 am, made for a crabby mom! WESH’s Bob Kealing talked to Kronk’s lawyer, David Evans, who said the meter reader had done the right thing and deserved a reward from Crimeline. Kealing was trying to get a response from Crimeline about whether Kronk was being considered for a reward.

IF, and that is THE big word: IF they cared anything at all about that poor little kid WHY on earth do they continue to make a mockery of her short life and cruel death. That family needs to get off their quest for stardom. This is a true life tragedy. A child suffered the most horrific experience one can ever know. Yet throughout this entire escapade, they have used this opportunity at this feeble attempt to magnify their daughter as having been a “wonderful mother,” etc., “how much she cared.”
They continue to flaunt their selfish and boistrous attitude towards everyone who has attempted to help. No different from their stupid daughter: Look at us. We are the victims. We need money. (Think of how much they sound like the Jim-Tammy Baker circus!)

However, there is a judgment to follow from which none will escape. We are all appalled by what took place here, and it is the responsibility of the perpetrator to make things right with the Creator before they leave this world. Shan some of the “pundits” are predicting that the trial will be postponed to way after March. The venue has not been set - stupid BB has not even filed a motion for a change of venue as far as I know. And there is tons of evidence and he will find excuses for needing LOTS of time to look at every bit. So unfortunately we have to prepare ourselves in case the trial is put off.
Shan I have to agree with you, she would have probably grew up to be a great person and a loving mother, but c took that chance away from her. It will be sad opening up presents with my 1 and 8 year old thinking poor Caylee will never have that joy again. But you have to believe it is even better in heaven than any X-mas could ever be, even that is hard to believe for me sometimes. Just wish someone could have saved her. I will be thinking of her X-mas morning and I know my 8 year old will be to, she is just as rapped up in this case as I am, we both watch Nancy Grace every night. I did not mean many people in the Caylee case.
The Crime tip lines RULE is you have to call them first - NOT 911 - to get the reward. No exceptions. That’s the report I read.

Shan - I do not believe in ghosts but I firmly believe that God moves in mysterious ways. He has heard every prayer that has been lifted for this innocent child. The amount of love transcended to Him through our prayers has, in my honest (and uneducated) opinion, not been unanswered.

I think if someone sat down with Jennifer Gonzales and filled her in on some facts, Jennifer (or someone like her) might well want to tear M’s hair out herself. But you see what happened? In the months that elapsed since police were first notified, the body has decomposed and been eaten by scavengers, maggots and bacteria. With each passing day, there’s less remains, and therefore less evidence, making it harder for prosecutors to convince a jury that the death was a homicide. A killer may very well go free because three sets of police didn’t thoroughly search for Caylee’s remains, and didn’t ask Kronk to lead them to the suspicious bag.
Police do not have an easy job, and should be commended for their good work when they solve crimes and bring criminals to justice. But, more often than the public realizes, poor police work jeopardizes prosecutions and lets killers walk free. Caylee Anthony, Adam Walsh, JonBenet Ramsey, and the rest of America’s missing children deserve competent police work.

And if indeed so, it would also seem that wonderful mother would have received compensation until the child was determined to be deceased.

There was some discussion of whether M was getting welfare quite a long time ago. I’ll bet she would have taken it if she could get it. But another blogger wrote that the welfare agency would have insisted on knowing who the father was so they could go after him for child support. I don’t know if her “he’s dead” story would fly with them. Plus there is no father listed on the birth cert. So I don’t know.
Hopefully LE has looked into that - or the child protective agency that interviewed her before.

ORLANDO, Fla. — The remains of Caylee Anthony, which were discovered last week in a wooded area near her grandparents’ home, have been released by the medical examiner’s office to a funeral home, Local 6 News reported.
The child’s remains were sent to the Robert Bryant Funeral & Cremation Chapel in Orlando after documents were signed by the girl’s mother, Casey Anthony, Local 6 News reported.
The Anthonys have no plans to visit Casey Anthony in the Orange County Jail, where she’s been since October.
The judge ordered that the state hand over photographs and X-rays of the remains to the defense within 14 days.
“Time is of the essence in that there is a grieving family that merely wants closure, and as long as the second autopsy cannot be conducted properly, that can not happen,” Baez wrote in the motion.
A testy e-mail exchange between Baez and the state attorney’s office was also released.
“The items you speak of will be provided in discovery in due course. Why do you believe that ‘time is of the essence?’” prosecutor Jeff Ashton wrote. “I am not aware of any exigent circumstances in this case.”
“These items are needed for the second autopsy. Now Jeff, it’s close to Christmas, be nice,” Baez replied.
Baez has also set up a new tip line to receive leads that he believes will confirm his client did not kill the girl. The number for the tip line has not yet been released.

I feel kind of badly going off on the ants like I did on the morning of Christmas Eve. But there is such a thing as righteous indignation and I think that’s what many of us are feeling. I’d certainly rather feel that than “Oh, lots of kids are killed by their parents. What’s the big deal? Why are you all going on about it?” like some people have posted here and on other blogs. They are right about one thing - other children are murdered too - whether by neglect, avoidable accident, or intentional murder.
Caylee is helping us keep that in mind even though we don’t know as much about the other children.
In fact if Caylee is to be remembered in such a way it should be for all children who die at the hands of violent adults. She should not be remembered as a symbol for missing children. Sorry, ants. That doesn’t cut it.
So I will add prayers for all of them to my list - and for parents and adults everywhere to take special care of ALL children in the coming year. They are the most precious beings on earth.
And I’ll pray that I can calm down and try to see this case with clear eyes - or as much as possible.

So, how dumb is setting up a “tip” line and not actually having a phone number for it? If you don’t have a phone line, what exactly did you “set up”?
How can anyone that claims they passed the bar exam be this incredibly stupid?
What kind of tips would come into such a line? Wouldn’t anyone with knowledge of this case already have come forward?
And what is the rush for the pictures and stuff of the discovery site? Why won’t Jose answer the prosecutors as to why he wants it? Because they need it to perform the second autopsy? There was never even a first autopsy because there is not enough remains for that, only an examination of the remaining bones….and you don’t need pictures for that, once again, Jose is full of SH*T.
The only reason he is “requesting” the evidence now is so he can again whine and cry to the cameras about how unfair the state is treating him by denying all of his requests. The judge said 14 days, so why can’t he comply with that? Is he really going to look over this stuff on Christmas? Really? The same guy who never even bothered to pick of the tips he requested, but kept telling the media the sherrif would not give them to him?
I hope Jose gets a big stocking full of coal and a notice from the Florida Bar that they are examining his credentials tomorrow.

I agree that the meter reader is on the up and up.
I also think the cops did what they could with his previous tips. He was not very detailed as to what exactly he was reporting and the fact that he was stating he was the meter reader but did not know the name of the elementary school which he read on his route made him a bit unbelievable on the phone. Also, repeating the statement that “it is right down from the Casey house” probably did not help the cops take him seriously.
They were probably getting a million bogus tips about then (remember all the many hours compiled on CD, many from actual kooks) and just did not give this one enough attention.
I think it was just bad communications all the way around, but he felt something, so just kept checking until he could get back there himself and poke around.
I do notice he started to tell the 911 operator that he was back there because he needed to take a leak - maybe he should locate a McD’s or some such place with a restroom on his route - rattlesnake bite is a big price to pay to empty your bladder.
I dont know I just watchd him again and listend to it..I mean I guess he culd be on the ants team just happening to discover the body ther…but I just think hes a norml guy…There scrutinizng him cus he didnt know the street names…gosh..I hope he is just a norml dood…cus he sure seems like it.

Poor guy…he brings Caylee home and ppl start eyeballng him…
I think the reason they are all over him about the street names is that he is a meter reader. All he does is travel his pre-assigned route and read meters. Most people with regular routes would be aware of the names of the roads and the nearby school.
However, I think that is also what may make him believable. If this was a planned stunt, surely they would have scoped out the names first so they could be sure the cops found what they were reporting.
And if he was some kind of Jose or Ant plant, then he would have kept calling back in August.
I also see no reason for Jose to want the body found way back in August. His defense is really built on waiting for the facts to become muddled over time.

Is Casey Anthony capable of murder? On Wednesday, NBC’s “Today” wasn’t taking a break from the headline-making case. The discussion helped answer the question why a mother might kill her child.
Ann Curry asked about Anthony’s behavor — such as partying — before and after daughter Caylee’s disappearance.
“I wouldn’t call this inappropriate behavior,” criminal profiler Pat Brown said. “I’d call it evidence of psychopathy. The fact that she lies constantly. The fact that she has no empathy for that missing child, has no interest in that missing child, shows a person that didn’t really care about another human being. Is she capable of therefore doing something to that child? Absolutely.”
Brown, who stressed that she’s not a forensic psychologist, noted that a psychopath knows what she’s doing. Brown said she couldn’t call Casey Anthony a psychopath in court, but added that the young mother exhibited psychopathic tendencies. Brown theorized that Casey had fooled former fiance Jesse Grund.
“The fiance — he’s one of those who got caught in Casey’s net,” Brown said. “What happens with a person with a psychopathic personality is that they will act in a certain way according to what it will get them.”
A psychopath would use a baby as an object to get attention, Brown theorized. But when that child grows older and gets in the way, a psychopath “would easily cut that person loose,” Brown said. “That’s what the fiance is confused about.”

They did survive M however, not sure if the Ants would have survived M if she was not in jail.
I also think that M will be convicted, the circumstantial evidence is stronger than in the Scott Peterson case IMO.
Caylee was murdered because of insane jealousy by M. Jesse Grund provided that motive.

Regulars for months who love and protect not only little caylee but our sacred grounds that keep her memory alive and demand justice, BNN. I sure hope along the way that LE has read our blogs. I truly believe that we have alot to offer the investigation with all our brainstorming. They say it takes a community to raise a child, I believe it takes those of us who come here to BNN to help bring a murderer to justice.

This Christmas eve, I wish nothing more then to have our little angel by some miracle, alive and well. For some reason, this child was meant to teach all of us that have come togther in our love for her, in god’s great plan, a lesson unique to everyone of us!
It is my belief that contracts are agreed upon with every child between them and the universe, that everyone has a purpose and a reason to be on this earth.
Caylees’ existence on this earth might not have been what the universe had in mind, but her death was god’s purpose for this child, the lessons that might heal 500 families in some way or another that we will all take away from this tragedy!
Caylee agreed to her purpose in life and death and it was meant to be that her mothers’ lessons be learned from her for eternity! On earth and in heaven!

Baez requests delay of defamation trial
In other developments, documents were filed in the case of Zenaida Fernandez Gonzalez versus Casey Anthony.
A woman with the name of the babysitter whom Casey claimed abducted Caylee, filed a defamation lawsuit several weeks ago, claiming Anthony “ruined her good name.”
On Wednesday, Baez filed papers asking a judge to delay the case and Casey’s deposition until after her criminal trial.
Casey is spending her first Christmas behind bars. Even though she will not be able to attend any holiday events at the Orange County Jail, she has received a special meal including: roast beef with gravy, buttered mashed potatoes, creamed corn, baked apple crisps, bread and butter and juice. The total cost of the meal is about 82 cents.

I was sorry to hear about the donations for the laptop. I personally donated and I know others on here did as well. How sad that it wasn’t able to happen, especially at this time of year when giving is such a good feeling to do! Sad that M can get donations in her jail account from pitiful donors, but someone fighting for their life with cancer comes up short.

Hello, I’m new here, just came across the page this evening/morning (if you will). I think all this has been a terrible tragedy all around. But I think whats worse is that the media is saying that C&G are planning to KEEP donating all the memorial items! I find that appalling. I mean, they did the first donation the other day, and a lot of people were very angry. Now they want to keep going back and taking more. I wish I lived down there! I would be right there to tell them NO WAY!! People are laying those gifts down as a rememberance to CAYLEE, not so they can be taken away and given to others. I do agree it was a nice thing to donate to those homeless children, but why doesn’t C donate all the gifts that were sitting in her closet or in Caylee’s room when the media went there a couple months ago? I mean, they made it a point to say “Caylee can’t play with these things” .. she can’t play with THOSE things either! Thanks to that B of a murderer!!!

I’ve thought alot about the pro’s and con’s of this taking and donating the memorial stuff and have decided that is is just waaaaay wrong for the Ant’s to do that. You see people all the time go out to cemetary’s and put “memorials” out there in dedication of loved ones. Some cemetaries will leave the items there for sometime and then if not picked up by a certain date, they pick stuff up. If people wanted to donate things in memory of little Caylee to a specific charity, that is what they would do. However, those that choose to leave the memorials in a specific place, should be allowed to do so without that stuff being disturbed. I have to agree that the motives are those of wolves in sheep clothing. The Ant’s motives aren’t to be “nice and charitable”, the act is to try to save face in the light of their past actions. It would be admirable if their actions were genuine but we know they are ANYTHING but genuine!! I’d like to see them donate any $$$$$ proceeds they’ve made off Caylee and then we’ll see just how generous they are really trying to be. Those toys and stuff didn’t cost the Ants a dime. It has no moneytary value to them so of course they are going to “donate it”. JMO…

CHSAH, yea, I too believe they have “ulterior” motives concerning the memorial. Supposedly Conway (C&G Lawyer) says they will be donating the funds left, but .. they need donations for the “private” funeral?? I doubt any monetary funds left will go anywhere but in their pockets in the end! I can’t STAND C, she needs to be sitting on a bunk next to her “evil offspring”. She lied and tried to decieve just as “Crazy” (as I prefer to call her) did. Thats where Crazy learned all her “habitual lying” from. It truely is a shame that a beautiful little baby had to suffer because of these 2 disfunctional MONSTERS! It is also a shame that there are still so many people out there that believe in all 4 of the A’s. It is wasted energy as far as I am concerned.

Thank you for taking the time to read my oh so long story and thans to all who praised me and bless u all. i wanted to share a thought and maybe some has thought the same. I was sorta thinking that may be the meeter man had been keeping track on the caylee case and he knew the area and wanted to snoop around or maybe used his head and thought of the big woodee area around the AN house and he probley came across the bag and he prob knew what it was by instinct and in agust it had to be hot and it must of still smelled. He probley was scared to say that he was snooping or that he found a dead body so thats why he aclled and said he found a bag and then called back to find the cops did not uncover it so he called back and still the same untill he called and told them he found a skull. I dont know but if i lived near the AN house my first guess would have been the woods by her house and i would have snooped and i probly would have ben scared to call 911 and said i found a dead body i probly would have said i found a strange bag so police could oppen it. if the meeter reader had jus gone and oppend it and call in a dead body than it would had looked bad on him.
