I find Baez’s recent remarks on Saturday to LE ridiculous. After all his squawking about not being allowed to be at the site while the FBI and LE were processing it, on Saturday, he turns around and says his team is not interested now in going to the site.

I just shook my head when I read that. His comments made him sound like a petulant little boy who is sulking because he did not get his way when he first asked. I would really hate to be defended by him even for a traffic ticket.

Wait a minute … actually, he is the perfect lawyer for Casey!!

If I were her, I would be very worried about this guy defending me. He really is something else and I think Jan’s comment about him is spot on.

good morning all. I think that what LE should press Baez on in court is the fact that M told them that she was being threatened and she knew who had Caylee. Well now that we have found Caylee let us hear all the facts on who was threatening her, what they said and who they are and why are they threatening her. If this was a fact, M could potentially get a much reduced sentence. One would think that M would be clamoring to tell someone, DON’T you all think?

I think what I find frustrating is that Casey doesn’t have to say another thing…she doesn’t have to come up with any more lies…she just has to remain quiet from now until the end of the trial. She doesn’t have to prove she is innocent…the prosecution has to prove her guilt. We may never know what actually happened…only Casey and Caylee know what really happened. The defense just has to keep throwing doubt into the equation enough times to convince a jury that maybe something else happened. I honestly hope that justice for Caylee is served and Casey gets what is coming to her…and I pray that the jury is intelligent enough to see through all of the smokescreens the defense is going to throw out there.

Just static ~ hi there…that is truly one of the most frustrating things, is that bitch can sit there ordering pop tarts and playing cards while the rest of us mourn her daughter and try to figure out what happened to her. She damn well knows and she doesn’t have to say anything, that is truly frustrating to the point I just want to slap the crap outta her still she talks!

C~A - I understand what you are saying…but I don’t mind if she eats poptarts, or plays cards…while the rest of us mourn the loss of Caylee. No, what gets me through those thoughts of frustration is knowing that Casey is going to be sitting in the same cell come Thursday morning…while the rest of the world is celebrating Christmas…Casey will be just sitting there. I also keep my sanity just imaging that Casey’s dreams are haunting her…as well as the trial coming up has to be eating her up inside…it has to. She wanted her freedom and felt that Caylee was taking that from her…and it’s ironic that because of what Casey did…Caylee is going to reach out from the grave and take Casey’s freedom away forever. She obviously didn’t think this plan of hers out very well.

I listened to the Radio show yesterday and almost called in to voice my ideas or opinions…but I didn’t…sorry…but one thing that come out about the defense I thought everyone should keep in mind…once she is found guilty, Casey goes the State Pen…and…no matter how many appeals she has…she will only be transferred from the State Pen on her trial dates…so she is going to be stuck there no matter how much Biaz postures and complains. That is a comforting thought in my mind.

CAUSE IN THE END…THAT’S WHAT CAYLEE HAS BY NO FAULT OF HER OWN…NOTHING!

C~A I agree with you completely…it’s frustrating that the guilty seem to get so much…so many rights…so many privaledges…and the victims…well, they get nothing. And in this case…the victim gets nothing forever.

I, like you often wondered why the people in prison get cable TV, movies, weights to train with, and treats and perks they can earn…and I thought it was way out of whack…but then I talked with some prison officials…and they gave me their prospective about all of that… Those things are there to keep the prison population distracted and calm. If they had nothing in prison to entertain or burn the time away, control would be a heck of a lot more difficult. I understood his point…although I think that things could be a heck of a lot tougher but then again…I don’t think prison is in any way a vacation. But I have to admit…I can’t stand looking at pictures of Casey…I only wish the worst for her…and I just wish I could see a little remorse…a little suffering from her…to calm this beast of anger and hatred I have towards her… But I ask myself…what would I have to see or learn about that would calm this anger…and I don’t have the answer…and that really bothers me…

Just googled for new stories coming from the ANTS. It seems they want a private funeral for Caylee. Now I don’t have a problem with the ANTS having a private funeral for Caylee.

However, I think the ANTS will sell the rights to their “Private Funeral”
to a media company and that photo’s and/or video will be released.

The ANTS will scream bloody murder, all the while pocketing the money from this media deal. I bet their new attorney, Brad Conway is already shopping this deal around.

Val, I would sure like to see the same thing from the Anthony’s on the Today show…it would go a long way to making me feel a little bit better about them… Seeing some honest emotion from them regarding the loss of their grand daughter might show all of us that at least a small part of them is human…

val - I bet jesse is thankin his lucky stars he didn’t marry her! She may have done him in at some point. It is scary, you think ya know someone and you really don’t. Her loving mommy show in front of her friends was bought hook line and sinker…but underneath it all…she was ready willing and able to kill her own child! If you can kill your own child, you can kill anyone that gets in your way!

C~A…thanks for the kind words and ideas…I know I have to separate myself from this case…and devote the time to my own loved ones…to show them that I care…because I read everything you said…and agreed with it…but that beast inside of me said just two words… “Not Enough”… So I have do something different…something to get away from this for a while…it’s a long time to March…and if I keep this pace, I will be burned out before the trial even starts… I hope you find peace with your anger…like me it might not be an easy answer…but I have to get this anger out of me before it eats me up.

Static - I have guilt about the amount of time 5 months now, everyday that I have spent on this case. I have gained 10lbs at the very least at this computer. I know I also have to try to get out of this obsession. I too feel what i said is not enough for her to pay for what she did, cause in the end, that doesn’t change what she took away. I am moving in a little over a month so I will be distracted but prob. having withdrawls the second this comp. is packed up!
It will be the last thing put on the truck for that reason.
I spend way too much time on this case and hubby even told me but he has been sucked into as well.

If any of you read yesterday comment (and blog) you all knew I had kept my little grandaughter all night..(we celebrated Christmas yesterday.will be gone on the 26th).

She is 2 1/2… all I did this entire morning was hold her… listened to her sing ‘twinkle twinkle little star’… my heart felt it was busting out of my chest with anger at that bitch m. How could anyone hurt a child.. much less your own. I did not even want to put her down.. which was tough because all her christmas toys where here. BUT I rocked her..and sang with her.. never in my life have I felt as much anger..

When she left, 10 minutes ago, I cried.. imagine if something ever happened to her I would die..

The thought that m is still alive pisses me off.. I still can not understand what a small child could do to deserve such a horrible
ending..

There are many schools of thought about the steps of grief…I use the 5 steps…because I can’t remember them all if there are 10 or more steps… I am between step 2 - Anger and step 3 - Bargaining… and I hope to skip step 4 - Depression altogether… But I am angry, yet trying to convince myself that Casey is not experiencing a holiday…so I think I am bargaining…which depresses me to think I am letting her off lightly…

I just watched the Today show on NBC and saw the Jesse Grund interview. What a lovely young man he is. I just sobbed watching him cry when he spoke of the demise of little Caylee…he really loved that child. The idea that the Ants consistently tried to blame Jesse is beyond awful. I also remember in the jail interviews how Casey kept trying to infer to her parents to stay away from Jesse because she does not trust him…I think the real reason for this was the fact that Jesse has a soul and M never had one.

i just heard on the news that the anthony’s are giving all of little caylee’s memorial things away to charity,why can’t they let america grieve for this little girl,that is like a slap in the face to people who actually care for her

Val - seriously he sounds very smart. He should have a job. I mean it! You could find some books on how to train for certain things. I don’t mean to become a bomb sniffing canine ATF agent or anything. Just some things that fit in with your everyday life. Like you could drop the newspaper inside the front door and teach him to bring it to you (at breakfast table or sofa). Or teach him to bring you the TV guide. Teach him to gather up magazines and papers on the floor and make a neat pile. THere must be things around the house that dogs can be taught and they feel so good to be doing something and then praised for it! You both could have some fun!

Casey is not enjoying a holiday and I doubt she is enjoying her pop tarts are card either. It does sound easy for the inmates when you hear about the commissary and all the things they can buy and the money being donated into Casey’s account. When I get these thoughts, here is what I think about:

A cramped, tiny cell - that is all the room she has to move and only gets out for about an hour a day, unless Jose shows up, then some more time locked in a room with him. For every item she buys from the commissary, there is that much less room for her. It is easy for me in the free world to become overwhelmed and a prisoner of my possessions, so much easier for her. And once that pop tart is eaten, the fun is over for a week. They only get to buy stuff once a week.

I admit, it is not enough punishment for even the lesser crime of never reporting your daughter missing when if she had truly been kidnapped she could have been in mortal danger, or being tortured, or sold into slavery. But it is nice to know that at any moment of the day, she is bored out of her mind, all her distractions gone. Can you imagine the cold turkey withdrawal from the text messages alone? She must have had some huge calluses on those thumbs to type out so much evidence against herself in the 31 days of no reporting.

Anyway, if you are angry at her like I am, rest assured that she believes she is going through the roughest time of her life right now, but when she hits the State Pen, her celbrity status will be gone and life will keep going downhill. She has nothing to look forward too. She has nothing to live for. She has no hope (which should be Jose’s motto for all his clients if his performance in this case is anything to judge by).

Saluki - it could also be because in June she had told Jesse not to talk to her mother. And said he didn’t want to know (why). Etc. At that point she had no way to know that he would be interviewed and it would all come out anyway. Plus she may have been trying to play into her mother’s dislike of Jesse by implying he could be the kidnapper. Gosh that family belongs in a cave - where we could dynamite the opening shut!

I like so many of you can not stop thinking about Caylee. It is heartbreaking knowing that this beautiful, innocent 2-year old was met with such a horrible demise. I know this is not the first child killing and unfortunately will not be the last but somehow this rips at the heart. I had to give birth to a stillborn daughter. I thought I would never recover from that. To purposely kill your own daughter is the most heinous of all the heinous crimes.

I am a little frustrated that Cindy and George are not holding a public memorial. So many people have grieved for this precious baby. So many people tried to be supportive of C & G. Caylee has truly become America’s baby. For them not to hold a public service is the ultimate act of selfishness. After all, it was the public not the Anthony’s who physically searched for Caylee. I think she has been at peace since her demise. Now, she is watching over all of us.

Good ideas M2C! His job used to be stopping the cat from scratching furniture. He would shove her with his nose and was very diligent about it. She lived 15 yrs and they were great friends. He does a lot of tricks, plays with balls, and takes me for walks every day, but dogs really are happier when they have jobs.

CA - As nice as it was for folks to give leave toys at the site, remember how hot, buggy and reptile infested that area is. I would never give one of those dirty infested stuffed animals to a child! God knows what’s been on it or gotten into it! The ants didn’t have to do ANYTHING with the stuff at the site of the remains. It is not their property. It is NOT THEIR STUFF! They have no business doing anything with it at all. Later the property owner or street cleaners would have dealt with it as happens everywhere else. The issue is CONTROL! And they do not want that site to be marked AT ALL! So they are destroying it!
And to pretend that it is an act of generosity to needy kids just makes my stomach turn. I do hope they will like the tiny little HOT room in hell that awaits them.

In addition, not to disrespect the givers, but we do not know where all those stuffed animals and toys CAME FROM! Some could have been in somebody’s filthy garage or bug infested basement for two years! How could they expect that something left for days ON THE ROAD is going to be given to a child to play with?

MTC - Yes, but they could be inspected and brushed off, they have not been there long. I just think it’s another slap in the face for the general public who have shown more compassion and love for this child to remove them and give em away. I am SO mad I could spit nails. I have never heard of anything like this. And I heard long ago that the hispanic fellow who died in a car crash wanted to have dna checked. Surely one of his family members could donate DNA and there would be some similarities. Re: the memorial toys, there is a sadness about them and I don’t know if I would want one that was part of a memorial, besides the fact that you don’t know where it’s been. I hate wasting things, but they are there for a purpose, to express love and grief for the loss of a specific child. They are hers now, and if I had my way some would be buried with her.

My brother was killed in Iraq in 2004 fighting for the country. One of my uncles was devastated, went out in my grandpa’s workshop when we all gathered for the funeral, made a big wooden cross with my brother’s name carved in it, and we put it in the front yard.

My grandparents left that cross up for almost two years, until it fell apart and could not be repaired anymore.

Why would you destroy two memorials to your granddaughter in less than two weeks when you just found out for sure she was dead?

So now the defense is crying that since they did not get access to the discovery site on the first day, it is not worth looking into at all and that if their case suffers, it is the fault of the police:

“Ideally, we would have been out there the first day, before there was any disturbance,” says Lee, perhaps best known for his work on the O.J. Simpson case.

“We want to know the location of the plastic bag and skull,” he says. “How many bones were inside the bag? How many bones were outside. We don’t know anything directly from the sheriff’s office. As an expert, you can only look at the original crime scene or original evidence. Once it is altered or changed, it is very difficult to put together.”

Is Lee really trying to say that as an expert for defense, he has been given first day, before the investigation is over, access to crime scenes? What crime scenes? What police dept allowed him into their working crime scene? As I remember, he was allowed onto a crime scene once, but he moved and altered evidence, for which he should be barred from ever being an expert for defense. And what legal reason would defense have for first day access since the body was not identified?

I blame the media for allowing these idiots to continue to plant the notion in public view that LE did anything wrong by not complying with Jose’s completely out of line and probably illegal request for immediate access to the site.

I don’t think mtc’s comment was directed towards those that gave to the caylee memorial. I read her point being that stuff left laying outside in the elements, can become infected, infested with many diseases or bugs and I think her concern was for other children receiving these things. It’s going to be a tough case.
There were quite a few mistakes, and i can’t believe what the police department have done in regards to the three calls made 11th, 12th 13th August in regards to Kronk. Why weren’t the calls checked out?

It’s going to be difficult because there’s no physical evidence. Only circumstancial.

Of course the mother’s manner those weeks after the disappearance are going to way heavily on the case and the jury’s verdict. But it’s not just about that. The prosecution needs to prove Casey is guilty beyond resonable doubt and it looks like t tough case for the prosectution to do.

I pray for them and Caylee’s family, i believe Casey is guilty and like it’s been mentioned, i hope the prosecution doesn’t make any mistakes.

istherejustice…..rest assured circumstancial evidence can and will convict a person…..are you familiar with the scott Peterson case???? Need I say more?? Justice will prevail…this was a young child, society doesn’t look keenly on mother’s who kill their children and party 31 days thereafter.

Something is just not right here, the ants have so much money at their disposal until it’s time to bury their grandaughter. Now they need to ask for donations cause what, the production company who is paying for m’s defense and thier ritzy stay at the the Carleton and their cross country flights just issn’t willing to help bury the child?

Why do they have money for luxuries for themselves and nothing for caylees’ burial?

I heard maggot is banned from the funeral, but if request is made they just might accomodate her? Which is it?

I wonder why the Ants haven’t been to the jail to visit Casey?

Spacely, I am really sorry for the loss of your brother. It must be hard to listen to the recent interviews of Cheney and Bush still defending the unnecessary war.

From what I’ve seen so far there have been no leaks from the jail about her. I think the jail administration is keeping a tight lid on things. And since she’s in the “protective” custody area maybe there are fewer employees to provide leaks and who could be easily found out and lose their job over it.

There have been reports that are open to public record like what she buys at the prison commissary - a deck of playing cards, art/sketch supplies, snacks. A prison “mission” type person is giving all inmates a candy cane and a pocket calendar.
And her xmas dinner is roast beef, potatoes, creamed corn served in her cell. WoW! Room Service!

I just read transcript from the Greta show with Jessee Grund. I feel vey sorry for him… he truly loved Caylee. I imagine a big piece of his heart is missing. Listening to people that actually knew Caylee, it certainly seems she was the lite of of whole lot of people lives.. except the bitch m.. so damn sad.

Spacey.. so very sad to hear about your brother. I imagine with the holidays coming up, it wil be very diffiicult for you and your family.
