Monday morning, I was pointed in the direction of an article online concerning Sharon Osbourne, the matriarch of the Ozzy Osbourne family and reality television star Megan Hauserman who has been on various shows such as Beauty and the Geek and others. Both were recently on a Vh1 show called Rock of Love Charm School where Megan was a contestant and Sharon was the headmistress of the school. This is a reality based show that aired during the fall season. The show taped its reunion episode on Saturday evening in Los Angeles where both were in attendance. However, things went a little over the edge between the two. Hauserman said something about Ozzy to Osbourne which spurned Osbourne to retaliate physically. A day after this occurred, Houserman went to the hospital and pressed charges against Osbourne. From what I am understanding, the incident is under investigation with the LAPD.
Sharon Osbourne is known for blowing up from time to time. She is fiercely protective of her husband and children. This is not unusual as most mother hens tend to have that protective edge. Plus, Ozzy is not in a good place mentally and does not function with all capacities as we all saw on The Osbournes back in 2002. It was not a laughing matter but a sad situation overall and not someone I would be making hurtful comments about. I am guessing that when Hauserman said what she did, it hit a nerve with Mrs. Osbourne and she reacted. I am also aware of Hauserman and her behavior on television as well. She is known for manipulating others and purposely doing and saying things to get them upset. She also acts without conscience and is hated by most everyone who watches these shows. I saw Hauserman on this recent show and did she love pushing the buttons of others and getting them upset. She enjoyed doing this. Osbourne would come down hard on these ladies and true, was no saint by any stretch. However, I never saw her act out of malice or cruelty unlike Hauserman.
Folks, there is no excuse for physical violence or lashing out at anyone. This stuff does lead to more trouble than it is worth. There are much better ways to handle ones anger. Whether it be in defense a loved one or not, there is no excuse for violence. However, knowing Megan’s track record, I wonder if she intentionally tried to push Osbournes buttons well aware of how she would react? Osbourne is reactive; however, I am well aware that Osbourne has publicly spoken out against bullying in the past. She does not advocate it and she eliminated Hauserman early in this show due to her lack of conscience plus her violence towards another contestant. For the most part, Osbourne does not run around on television manipulating people and trying to keep them upset. Hauserman is the poster child for relational aggression as far as I am concerned. She manipulates, plots against others, has exhibited violence of her own and keeps the people around her upset and seems to enjoy behaving that way. You can see her “Queen Bee” mentality coming through the screen and her followers hanging on to her every action. In my opinion, I find her quite scary and someone who just does not “get it” so to speak. She has behaved as many covert bullies do. Most importantly, she has no remorse either.
I was not at this reunion and can only go on what I have read about this and what I saw on the show when it aired this season. I have not met either lady in person. However, I can have an opinion based on what I have read here and what I know of both of these women. Sharon is the one with the charges slapped on her but Hauserman is the one who made the comment in the first place and has a reputation for being mean and nasty towards others. So, I have to ask, who really bullied who in this situation? Also, why did Hauserman wait a day before seeking care and pressing charges? If she was so bad off, wouldn’t she have gone to get help sooner? At the end of the day, I am guessing Hauserman was the real bully in all of this. It would not surprise me a bit.

Yes, you are right! Megan is a conniving manipulative, souless, goldigger. She made several comments regarding women that were older than her as an ugly woman. I am almost ten years older than her and run circles around her in the athletic and looks department. I would’ve yanked her out too. Good for Sharon. It was so funny! I have friends that know Sharon and they said she everyone loves has and she is a wonderful woman. You wonderful what this Megan skank did to her and so many people to make Sharon act this way. LAPD cops to arrest Megan for false accusations. I smell a rat here. I can’t stand Megan and for her to mess with Sharon Osbourne she can kiss her wanna be career away and she is the most hated woman in america. Don’t mess with Sharon!

I started reading this article and it was immediately obvious that it was written by a chick.
Here is what we know. Sharon said some stupid shit to Meg. Meg’s comeback pissed Sharon off because it was such a good comeback. Sharon physically attacked me like an unciivilized animal.
In addition to that, Meg is an amazing example of the female form. Sharon is a crusty ugly chick with a vag that is probably painfully dry.

I have always been against any who use physical violence during an argument. Until this incident…… I adore Sharon and always will. Her back-bone is what I like most along with how honest she’s been regarding her surgeries she has had to make her more attractive.

Not defending Megan here-can’t stand her. But if this story is true and Sharon did assault Megan than, yes, charges should be filed. She did the same thing that got Megan expelled. To answer your question, “No one.” Not all conflict is bullying.
Olweus (1993) states that bullying is “negative behavior” intended to inflict “injury or discomfort” and that it is typically repeated over time. Roland (1989) called bullying “longstanding violence, physical or psychological, conducted by an individual or a group against an individual who is not able to defend himself in the actual situation.”
The conflict between Osbourne and Hauserman doesn’t even come close to the definition of bullying.
Thanks for your feedback everyone. Its good to know that I am not alone in the opinion of Sharon and Megan. Ozzy has something called Parkin disease which is similar to Parkinsons. Seeing him on The Osbournes was so sad and I can understand Sharon being really angered by her comments. Hauling off and hitting her I do not agree with but making fun of someone who is not well? Thats not good either, IMO.
Brian, we are going to have to agree to disagree I guess. I tend to take bullying a step further than Olweus even though I am trained under that program. I tack on abuse to the definition as well. Thanks for your response.

It is:
1) a cat fight,
2) a pissing contest,
3) a big RATINGS generator,
4) possibly a sign of the Apocalypse,
but it is not bullying or abuse.

Hi Brian, I understand what you are saying here. However, Megan is always upsetting people and everytime I have seen her, its been the case. Its nothing new. I saw Sharon get angry with Megan on Rock of Love and my guess is this is just carried over from there. The anger and frustration that is. This is why I say Megan is a bully. Her actions ARE repetitive towards others as I saw on the show. Sharon was temperamental, however, was not consistently and purposely trying to upset other people and by nature, Sharon is NOT a bully. If feelings were involved from before (as I would not be surprised if they were) then they probably carried over into this reunion show. Megan was the one who said what she did about Ozzy and my guess is she knew that would push Sharons buttons and well….it did. As a result, it was done on purpose, feelings carried over from the show (remember, Sharon had words with Megan on the show…..not knock down drag out but words and feelings)and was said with malice. A normal and considerate person does not slam another persons loved one and a loved one who is not well. That is callous and nasty.
It could have well been a catfight. However, if all of this was staged for television, why did Megan decide to press charges? Sure, to some extent it is staged because Americans cannot get enough of the Jerry Springer mentality that comes with reality television. However, it sounded like it went too far and Sharon was the one smacked with charges and Megan was not punished in any way. This is how bullies operate; they start crap with someone and know exactly how to push their buttons. So, they do it and the other person reacts and winds up taking the heat for the “catfight”
or whatever. I want people to see this element in this. Sharon was not the one that triggered this yet is the one with the charges. Just like school shootings; the victim gets sick of the abuse and takes it and takes it until he snaps. Then he brings the gun to school and shoots people. HE goes to jail for years while the bully walks. Of course, this is on a much grander scale than ROL but it parallels. Both were triggered/had their buttons pushed (school victim/Sharon). Both (school victim and Sharon)reacted and wound up with consequences. The bully/Megan? Wheres their punishment? Megan started the whole thing with her comment. Sharon is known to be protective of her family, its common knowledge. Megan used that and pounced. IMO, Megan owes Sharon an apology for starting this in the first place. Anyone with a conscience or even a heart would not talk nasty about someone who is not well.
I do know bullying and peer abuse like the backside of my hand. To those that are not educated on this, they will take one look at it and blame Sharon. I want people to see how a bully works. Catfight or not, Megan IS a bully. Shes pathological and is just as guilty in all of this as Sharon is. Her behavior overall fits the Olweus definition to a tea.

Sharon is pathetic. When she eliminated megan she specifically said violence is the one thing that she will not stand for, then she goes and assaults her. Perfect example of a hypocrite right there, I hate Sharon.
i watched the reunion show, and it was very clear that Megan was drunk or high. she was on something. Every time she spoke you could not understand her. even Ricki R. asked her are you ok?
Megan is obnoxious and will use any excuse to get what she wants. maybe wanted sharon to strike her so she could sue for money. she did say on one of the earlier shows that all she really wants to be able to do in life is tan. what an airhead.
Megan insults others because that’s all she can do. She’s got no brain and honestly I think that she insults others b/c deep down she knows that people around her are FFAAARRRR more intelligent and talented than she’ll ever be. She may have a “hot” body, but that’s all she has, nothing else. And karma is a real bitch. If people do get what they deserve 4 their actions, then Megan will grow into a fat sack of useless and finally realize how it feels like to be the butt of every joke. I really don’t understand why there are actually people out there who supports Megan and her nasty habits. Yes, its common sense that violence is not the key answer to anything. But in all honesty, we can all sit here and say Sharon was wrong for it or Sharon was a hyprocrite. but if you were put in her shoes and Megan verbally attacked you by telling you that one of your family member is brain dead. Wouldn’t you just lose your mind? I would. I’m sorry but Megan is obviously insecured. If she is so much better than everyone, she wouldn’t have to put people down or verbally abuse them.
Kat, you got exactly what I was trying to convey in all of this. I honestly believe that Sharon had enough and snapped. She watched her on the show bully other girls. She watched her make a comment to Rodeo about her son. Then, she commented to Sharon about her family and at that point, enough was enough. People can only take SO MUCH until they have had enough.
People are saying Sharon was the hypocrite and did the violence and Sharon is the one slapped with the charges. However, it was MEGAN who behaved as she did on the show. MEGAN who started in on Rodeo and her son and MEGAN who said what she did about Ozzy and the kids. MEGAN is not the one being punished. MEGAN was moreso at fault than Sharon was, IMO.
I parallel this with a school shooting and what I know about the psychological makeup of the bully and victim. Different scenario but the psychology is just the same.
