Caylee Anthony disappeared from the face of the earth in mid June and has not been seen or heard from since. Thousands of people have been searching for her but no one has found her, until one day, December 11, a water meter reading man decided to relieve himself in nearby woods, less than a half a mile from the Anthony home. He seen a black plastic bag and when he moved the bag what he said appeared to be a human skull rolled out. Later when authorities arrived to examine it, they found that duct tape had been placed over the mouth. Now authorities and America are waiting to find out if this could possibly really be Caylee.
What surprises me is that for the first time the mother of Caylee, Casey Anthony’s defense team is not fighting back saying this can’t be her because she is still alive. They are anxiously waiting to hear if the tests show will confirm this is actually Caylee. All the other times when something was found they didn’t even utter a word or show any signs that it possibly could be Caylee. Linda Kenney Baden, the New York attorney that has joined the defense team for Casey Anthony, said that Jose Baez has been told that the measurements of the bones and the color of hair that was discovered in the bag matched those of Caylee’s.
Why is this? Could it be because they know the area this bag was found was thrown over in that area? Could this be why Casey requested a sedative when they gave her the news that the bag had been found because everyone knows it wasn’t for the feeling that her daughter is dead.
Now the grandparents, Cindy and George Anthony are asking for their privacy while they wait for it to be confirmed if the bone and skull do belong to Caylee. Everyone says that they received the news while they were in California checking on another sighting they received as a tip of someone seeing Caylee but that is not the reason they flew to California. They flew there to be a guest on Larry King’s show and decided to check out the tip while they were there. And then they even considered doing another show for him via satellite or phone interview about their reaction to the authorities finding the remains of a child. I am assuming that since that show was cancelled, their new attorney, Brad Conway advised them not to do the second interview.
Sunday there was a press conference with Brad Conway speaking out for the Anthony’s. He stated, “They’re devastated. They’re realistic about the probability that it’s Caylee but they pray that it’s not.” He said they are still holding onto hope that Caylee might still be alive. I don’t have too much sympathy for the Anthony’s anymore but I have to admit if it were my granddaughter missing this is how I would feel too. Deep in my heart I would know it was possible that the remains found would be her but I would be praying that it wouldn’t be. So I can’t blame them for holding onto that little bit of hope.
What irritates me with them is how they stand in front of those cameras and positively state that they know Caylee is alive and that their daughter is innocent. Come on now we all know that what Cindy claimed about her daughter deserving the “Mother of the Year” award is just not so. Casey Anthony is the blame for putting her family through this living hell which could still possibly land all of them behind bars for obstruction of justice before all this is over.
Reporters asked Brad Conway if he thought there was a chance that George and Cindy Anthony would be charged in connection to the crime, he stated that “there’s always something” that the law enforcement could come up with but he claims that the Anthony’s have done nothing wrong. “If they do get charged, we will be prepared to aggressively defend them.”
Michelle Bart announced in the news conference Sunday that Conway would now be the new family spokesman or they will appoint another one later, but she will remain there in Orlando to help the family out. Wow, that would be what, the third spokesperson for the Anthony’s since this all began? Or was there more, I have possibly lost count there.
Meanwhile authorities have still been searching the area that the bag with the skull has been found. A source at the Orange County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed that more bones have been found near the home of Caylee Anthony. They will not give details about the bones found but they are continuing to sift through buckets of dirt and leaves from the wooded area which is less than a half a mile from the Anthony home.
Lee Anthony, Casey Anthony’s brother that has been staying completely out of the spotlight lately was at his parent’s home and appeared to be angry at the memorial of pictures, flowers and stuffed animals left outside the home. When he removed it all to bring it inside he told the people standing outside the home to stay away from his parent’s property.
I have become obsessed with this case and I pray that it will all end soon but I do pray that Casey Anthony does not walk away from this and anyone else that could have been involved in taking the life of this precious little girl. I pray that they all go down with Casey. I have that smug look on her face buried in my mind and when I think of her that is what I see. It is one of those looks that she has that reads out loud that she thinks she is untouchable and she will get out of this. I’d love to be able to wipe that look right off of her face.
If they do find her guilty (which I don’t see how she can get out of this) I think they should put her in a cell with wall paper on the walls with Caylee’s picture everywhere and have a speaker in the room that continuously plays the recording of little Caylee singing “You Are My Sunshine.” They should make her have to listen to that day and night. She shouldn’t get any special privileges and be given life WITHOUT benefit of parole EVER so she can suffer and the sad part is that still isn’t enough suffering compared to what that child went through.

Since this is likely the body, I have no doubt that she will be found Guilty. She obviously knows this is where she dumped her child and now needs to be sedated. Otherwise, she would just be laughing it off.
IMO, there is no way the Defense can win this. They are probably aware of this, too, but they will argue to the best of their abilities.
I just wish it did not have to take so long to see her handed a Guilty Verdict. No doubt, there will be a lot of emotion out of her that day.

Jan, You snetiments are felt by many across the world. We are, however, taught to be better people in circumstances like these. The first reaction in a case like this is always anger! But really, these people need prayers. I know that is not a popular answer…hey, I have been as critiacl of the Ant family as anyone. But we need to trust in justice and respect Caylee! She deserves aproper funeral and burial.
But, pray on Caylee’s behalf, that the Ants will come to grips with reality and remember that Caylee is the only victim here! It is sickening to see the Ants sideshow and cold calleousness of M! You have to believe they’ll have to meet thier maker one day and they’ll have some explaining to do! Casey Anthony probably should have gone to Hollywood as she is quite the actress. That smug look on her face was nothing but an act, but Casey had to have known the bag of Caylee’s remains would eventually be found. For a while it appeared as if Casey may have been pretty smart and outwitted law enforcement since the body had not been found. Well, that is a thing of the past as more than likely the most recent discovery is indeed Caylee’s remains. Now Casey can put on a different act and pretend to be devastated and grieving. Casey is only in need of sedatives because now her battle has become much harder than it was before. If the remains found are truly Caylee’s, the prosecutions case against her will become far easier for them. I think she would have met the same fate had no body been found, but this just makes it more than likely a slam dunk for the prosecution.

I believe Monster thought she would get her day in court before the remains were found. If that had happened, she MIGHT have had one juror who believed there was a reasonable doubt, and could have gotten off scot free. Then, had they found the body later, they could not have re-tried her due to Double Jeapordy.
Thank God Caylee was found before the trial began!

I am irrated as well to the extent that Cindy and George go in defending their daughter and how excessively adament they are in statements that Caylee is still alive. I told someone yesterday, I feel they owe the public an apology. You would think that under all of the circumstances surrounding this case, they would be a little less vocal and a little more humble.
I just looked up the grandparents’ new attorney (Brad Conway) and he is a criminal defense attorney. He stated that he was hired on Tuesday night which is when the bones were found. That is interesting timing.
I would think, now that the body has been found, Casey could stop “protecting” her family from the evil people who took Caylee. She would be spilling it ALL right now — angry that they’d murdered her child — telling LE everything she knows. But . . . (crickets)
If she gets the death penalty, she will still never be in general population, so I almost hope she gets life without parole. I WANT to see her thrown to the wolves.
I doubt Cindy is in hiding because she’s grieving over the possibility that Caylee’s remains have been found. I think Cindy & George are most likely busy SCOURING their house in the event LE needs to get another search warrant.
Cindy has made it crystal clear from the very beginning that the ONLY thing that matters to her is protecting Casey & she has shown NO LOYALTY to her own innocent granddaughter.
It’s no wonder Casey decided it was worthwhile to get rid of her child, she KNEW her mother would get over Caylee and rush to her corner NO MATTER WHAT she did. Now Casey doesn’t have to listen to her mother blab about her “little snot” (Caylee) anymore and Cindy’s “sweetheart” can be the center of attention again.

I am sickened by this whole thing. No one loves their kids more than I do but if my daughter hurt her child, she would not have me behind her. First of all, I take my grandkids every weekend and if for some reason I didn’t, I would want them to visit - I could never go 10 days without seeing my grandkids, never mind 30 days. I would have been screaming at Casey after the first week “Where is that baby?!?!” Never would have it gone on so long. imagine if Cindy did not call the police…we would never have known that child was missing. It’s amazing how M didn’t cry when her daughter was “lost”; she was putting on a brave front, but she had no problem falling apart when the body was found, incriminating her. What annoys me about C is she kept implying that LE was not giving out correct information, but they seemed to know things they couldn’t reveal that proved Caylee was alive. I too agree with the suggestion that her cell be plastered with Caylee’s picture and the sound of her singing “You are my sunshine” The picture of that child sitting so peacefully on her great grandfathers lap brings me to tears everytime. What 2 year old does that. She just loved to be loved. But instead her mother taped her mouth shut while she killed her in case she screamed I guess. Little Caylee is an angel now and Casey Anthony hopefully will go to Hell!

LI_Mom, I would bet money that she fell apart when they found the body. Sociopaths show a lot of emotion when they get caught, or when they are the ones hurting. Also, I think she put the body there because she knew the area and there was a good hiding place link a sinkhole she used. She didn’t count on water and decomposition gases floating the body out of there.

I doubt seeing photos or recordings of the child would affect her at all. Anyone who could put duct tape on a child so she could not cry out or plead for her life and then go on to murder her would not have any sort of remorse. The only remorse a sociopath feels is for herself, in being caught.
I’m glad the death penalty is not an issue and I hope it isn’t brought up. A fast death is nothing compared with life in prison where other prisoners can get at her and that’s what she deserves, years and years of suffering and an end to the party life she sacrificed her poor child for.

Another good read, Jan. There is no doubt in my mind that this little body is that of Caylee. Sad indeed, but I am glad the body was found before Casey’s trial. Kudos to that meter reader, he deserves some kind of reward. I am just glad they called 911, and didn’t call Cindy or Baez when that skull fell out of that bag. I cannot believe Caylee would have been buried in the backyard for any length of time. Ants have two doggies. M might have done some cleaning of stuff used when putting Caylee in garbage bag. I think Caylee was wrapped in cloth material first and after 2.6 days put in garbage bag because decomposition fluid was leaking in the trunk thru the cloth material.
Whatever M used to put Caylee in bag , could have been washed off in back yard thereby leaving some traces for dogs to hit on.

The finding of the remains has led to this weird mixture of joy and misery…..joy that the ordeal of waiting for the poor girl to be found is over….misery that the worst possible thing has happened to the poor girl.
But even the discovery of the body does not stop the money grubbers, only encourages more of them to squirm out of the woodwork as they attempt to grab any fame and fortune they can at the expense of a murdered and possibly tortured little girl.
1) The Ants new attorney who is working for no fee. Why? For the same reason Jose is connected to the case, fame and fortune. They are both worse than any ambulance chaser. I think both of them should be investigated by the bar prior to the trial because anyone as shady as these two most likely has plenty of skeletons in the closet. If these two want to donate time, let them do it for the legitimate poor for legitimate reasons, like trying to save someone’s house or feed someone’s family. Why are the Ants who we have seen lie to all of America over and over deserving of charity that is denied to virtually every defendant in court today? TV cameras are the only reason. And if the bar won’t investigate, then the TV stations should take on that responsibility since it is only through their intense (and money-making) coverage of the case that anyone would donate a nickel to these people.
2) KidFinders - Bart says the new att is the new spokesman, but she (and by she, she means KidFinders) is going to hang around to help. In other words, they are going to hang around with their collection buckets and open palms just in case their is more money to grab. And just for the record, here is another Kid they did not Find and I don’t care what Bart says about posters and flyers, all KidFinders did was grab as much money from the public as they could and confuse the investigation with false leads.
If the Ants are ever charged with obstruction of justice, I think KidFinders should be charged as well and forced to donate to a legitimate charity the dollar amount of the donations they received for this case and if possible, criminal charges for the owner who we already know is a crook.
I urge anyone in the Orlando area to call and write your councilman, mayor, code enforcement, state rep, state senator, fed rep, fed senator, law enforcement, the billboard companies, and any other official and request that any and all billboards for Caylee be immediately removed and KidFinders barred from doing business in the county and state and that they be immediately investigated for wrong doing. The reason the Ants are consistenly not taken at their word is that they have lied on many many occassions - obvious lies such as changing their testimony to LE - even down to the exact date they last saw Caylee. And they were not rushed to give those facts or dates when initially interviewed. Yet, they change there story on every interview. No one is forcing them onto these interviews, they arrange them, then lie to the America.
No one is attacking the Ants for holding onto hope that Caylee is alive. However, no one believes them when they state they are holding onto that hope because of their actions to cover up potential evidence and to lie, even down to giving the wrong hairbrush to LE.
The Ants destroyed their own credibility in the eyes of the public and even lied about statements that were repeated by Casey as truth - the possible divorce and gambling losses - which was counterproductive to their attempts to protect Casey.
And the question that is raised in the minds of everyone who follows this case after every lie is what is the purpose in protecting Casey if they truly believe Cayle is alive (or even dead, but dead far away killed by an imaginary babysitter)?
Every person who comments on this page wanted to support the Ants 100%, but were driven away, not because the Ants see things differently, but because the Ants showed themselves to be untrustworthy and therefore unsympathetic.

That’s right! They have had a MUCH better view of the truth and much sooner than any of us and they just won’t admit it! They KNEW. They cleaned the car, they destroyed and withheld evidence, they refused to cooperate with the police and may even have lied. Do parents do that when they believe their child is innocent and their granddaughter is alive? No. They KNEW before anyone that Caylee was dead - child missing and death smell in car. And they KNEW that Casey did it. If not long before then, for sure during their jail visit. You can see it in C’s face and we’ve often seen it in G’s face (he isn’t such a good liar).

Scott Peterson did apply to come to this memorial service. He was turned down by the sheriff of Stanislaus County. Apparently, in some cases inmates are allowed to attend these kinds of events, but he is not being allowed to come.

I won’t keep anyone long from your discussions on Caylee I just stopped in for a moment to let my fellow bloggers know I have learned today some very bad, devastating news from my doctor regarding my health issues. I am still caught in a stage somewhere between shock and acceptance…It seems my situation is way more dire than I had even suspected it was. I learned results of of a second set of testing that came back and I learned I am battling two entirely different life threatening issues at the same time…The problem is that the course of treatment for one of them will worsten the other problem and visa versa. They are both systemic and have come about due to the long term infection from my jaw and have become very ingrained over time. I have been told in no uncertain terms that it is not looking good for me as far as any recovery. I have finally stopped the tears but it is still very difficult to for me to understand and accept.
I am going for a second opinion but am not holding my breath..it has been too long a journey for me with this, I am really in a no win situation with what I was told today.
I will eventually have to get myself into another situation where I will need family to help me….so that will be coming sometime into the new year, there will be alot to do through the holidays because of learning this. I also will email friends with a new email addy once the “livein” sets up with the new server and updates he wishes to do. So for right now the old addy is still current for at least the time being. If I do work out other arrangements through family for help when this gets even worse, I will try to get back to everyone on when this will be. I am not doing very well, and I think even though all along I kinda thought this was way more serious..it doesn’t stop the tears or the pain in hearing it said out loud and confirmed by a professional in the medical field. I have a few calls to make to family now and I will not stay much longer or keep you…but I certainly will hope for your prayers with what I have to face.

If you noticed, the cops took quite a bit of evidence from the house over the weekend, some of which may incriminate the couple in more than just covering up. I personally think their involvement did not begin until the recovery of the car, but to suggest that a man who tells the police in multiple interviews that he knows his granddaughter is dead but does not want to accept it and a woman who called the cops because she smelled her dead granddaughter in the car are in denial for 6 months is going a little far. They accepted the death the day the forensics test came back on the air sample and they knew with certainty Casey was lying again. The discovery of the body has been a shock, but much of that is because it means the end for their surviving child.
Wow, Ordering people around now. Wow. Judgements? We weren’t the ones OBSTRUCTING JUSTICE.
They haven’t come to terms of anything because they are still blaming the so-called Zanny the Nanny that doesn’t exist.

IMO C & G have known since Day 1 that she did it. And it was confirmed for them in one of the jail visits. C may have tried to shove the knowledge to the back of her mind, but she knew and that made her go into cover up mode totally. G has known all along without denying it to himself. Just indulging C and doing everything she tells him to. He doesn’t have the brains or male parts to do what was right in public.
Let them grieve? They could have and should have been doing that since July. They are out of the public eye now because they are embarrassed to have been caught lying and are in serious trouble of LE charges for interfering with an investigation. The lawyer is keeping them out of sight because C can’t keep her mouth shut when media is around and she’ll implicate herself even more.

This sounds crazy to me. I don’t know where you are from, or how much coverage you are exposed to…but living in the Osceola county, which borders Orange county…we see this all over the news. The George and Cindy we see on the news lately are markedly different from the Anthonys that we have seen in the past. That, coupled with the fact that Cindy IS silent, tells me that the harsh reality of what happened is recently sinking in.
I think they have wanted to believe in their daughter, they wanted to believe the explanation that Casey was giving them. More importantly, I think they wanted to believe that Caylee was o.k. and that they would soon see her again. It is evident in everything they say (even in the jail house tapes).
Quite frankly, I think this site is full of ladies that feed off each other and work each other into a frenzy. Alot of speculation and misinformation is the product.
I suspect that most of you would be best served by taking a break and enjoying the family that you do have. Be happy that you aren’t in the Anthony’s position…

I have been impressed with the idea that these people need to grieve…and who are we to judge how that is done? Who are we to judge them period? None of us (thank God) have been in that position. What a nightmare…

They should have been grieving a long time ago. They knew from when they got that car that Caylee was already gone. Cindy herself even said that. We put in all sites of where we get our information from. There are a lot of us mothers and grandmothers in this blog that find it very hard to believe this is the way a mother and grandparents would ever act when losing a child/grandchild.

I wanted to thank those of you who have posted links as it is really helpful to those of us (like me) who can’t access information on a regular basis. I am one of those people and I really appreciate it.
I am finding it hard to look at photos of Caylee now because of the images that have come to my mind since they discovered her remains in that garbage bag in the swamp near the Anthony home. I just can not get my head around how M could do such a thing. I understand she is a sociopath but I find what she has done incomprehensible. Imo, M is a total waste of skin and I look forward to her being found guilty. I hope they put her away for the rest of her days.
I’m off to do some more reading as I have been on the road for the past 3 days so that I can see my son for Christmas. Makes me want to hold him close even though he is almost 30.

I read in a news report that Leonard Padilla is going to give a monetary reward to the utility worker who found the remains (when the remains are confirmed as Caylee’s.)
The Crime Tip line or whatever it is that had offered a $5,000 reward won’t give it to him because he did not call that specific tip line. He called 911. THis has happened before. Right. A skull falls out of a bag at your feet and you’re supposed to remember a 10 - 11 digit number to call FIRST before calling 911. Oh, PUHLEEZ!’

The grandparents will get the remains for burial. Nothing anyone can do about that and I guess its fair. Seems to me that the majority of posters on this blog have posted in the Christian way of knowing that Caylee has been in heaven for six months. So, what is left of her now is not as important as her soul, which now has wings. The new lawyer says they want privacy now. Ok, I can understand that maybe they are finally realizing the little beauty is dead. Of course, the new silence has probably more to do with legal advice than grieving.
BUT.. lets see what they do with those remains. Lets see if they make a circus out of her funeral just as they have out of her disappearance. Lets see if they can become “normal” grieving grandparents and give her the dignity in death that she is owed. They have a chance to redeem themselves by burying that child with dignity and grace.
Would they be smart enough to say NO to cameras and reporters or interviews at the funeral? Can they just have a family service like “normal” people? If they can’t , it won’t surprise me. And if they can’t, it won’t affect Caylee at all. With the help of her own mother, she has been taken from that dysfunctional bunch and now only knows happiness and peace.
That’s all we want for our children.. happiness and peace. Of course, when we wish that, its meant for a lifetime longer than 3 years.
snookers,I know what you’re saying but it kind of depends what the state can prove they did to mess up the investigation. If they really hampered the search or really destroyed evidence BEFORE the child was even found it could impact a jury pretty heavily. Kind of like us. You mean you didn’t know where you grandchild was BUT you didn’t give LE the hairbrush so they could identify her? You lied about (something regarding M) when you knew that her actions could lead to the child? (That kind of thing) It could really look as bad as it does to us.
elaine! Hi! I agree. Great post! Let’s see what they do. But whatever it is may be greatly influenced by their and M’s legal teams I’m afraid. I will bet $ that the funeral will be arranged to benefit M in the best way. Unfortunately that would probably be a quiet and private funeral (C will be unhappy) so we’ll probably never know what the ants would have done on their own.
I was actually thinking that some funeral home would pop up with a pro bono offer that would somehow include some TV shots of the business sign. It would be so typical of this case.
And I expect there will be some kind of public service, even if not given by the Anthonys. Someone will step up and organize a last public memorial, perhaps at the discovery site, perhaps Leonard Padilla and Mr. Grund, who had the previous memorial, but now that the body is found, I am sure a lot more people would like to attend, perhaps even a last candlelight vigil.

Paddy theory: Murdered at home 6/16. Put in cloth plus plastic garbage bag, second garbage bag around 6/18 due to leakage. Dumped around 6/24 when M got spooked because G almost got in trunk. Sounds ok to me. Just the duct tape post mortem sounds wacko.
The dream team. Think they came cheap because most are also authors and looking for new chapters in upcoming books. Dr. Lee already admitted he was not being paid.
Because of the dream team, I think, the cavalry was called in at the crimesite. So many FBI dudes, they donot want to be outsmart by the dream team and are leaving no stone unturned. It has become a race between Fed. forensics versus “for hire” forensics. Feds will win. They always do.
Paddy is also putting out a theory that Casey duct taped her head a couple of days after death. This is going to be a huge point. If before, it will be much, much worse, but the experts tend to agree that establishing exactly when the tape was placed will be impossible.
NG seems to think it was before in an attempt to quiet or suffocate the child.
According to Paddy’s theory, she carried the body around in the trunk for 8 days?…in FL heat? Was M driving the car around during this time? Wouldn’t the odor have been overwhelming and detectable from outside the car to anyone nearby?
Perhaps that explains the dogs hitting in the backyard, she temporarily stashed Caylee there? Maybe while she was deciding how/where to dump her? I haven’t seen the exact place in the yard the dogs hit, but was it a place that would have been obvious to the Ants, had it been disturbed by digging?
I have read everyone’s statements about plastering Caylee’s pictures on her jail cell- This does not work with a narcissist like Casey.What would drive her crazy is putting pictures of Tony (her last boyfriend) continuing on with his life dating and partying without her! Pictures of all of her partying friends going on with their lives and not giving one thought about her! That is what would destroy her. She has no conscience and feels no guilt about Caylee - only regret about being caught.

Re: Paddy’s theory, I don’t think that body was in Fla heat from the 16th to the 24th. The trunk tests said 2 days of decomp which would coincide with the 18th and it would be intolerable by the 24th, as I’m sure it was bad enough without the body.
If she killed Caylee by accident, she would still be devastated, not the party girl at Blockbusters the same night. And he said she wanted them to find the body quickly to look like a kidnapping…so she stalled for 31 days and would have never called the police if not for the parents locating that car. She would have done the hysterical, child abducted routine if she was framing someone, like Susan Smith did.
The string of lies leading LE all over town was stalling; she didn’t have a kidnapping story together even after a month. She was looking for an apt to move in with the boyfriend during that time and didn’t want to be interrupted by police questions.

Anna, last night on NG, everyone on the panel was asked if they think Casey will be able to go to the funeral. Everyone said no, and someone said that security is one reason why. Also Casey had a panic attack, not an anxiety attack. Either way, it doesn’t look good for Casey. This was the only time she responded to any findings, and in all technicality it still has not been confirmed if it’s Caylee’s remains. So her reaction speaks loudly.

No Reward For Meter Reader Who Found Skull

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — It was a meter reader who found the remains that could be Caylee Anthony. He’s having a tough time and does not want to talk with the media and he is so disturbed by what he found his bosses have given him some time off of work.
When the Orange County meter reader discovered a skull in the woods not too far from Caylee Anthony’s home his supervisor called 911.
That phone call makes the meter reader ineligible for a $5,000 Crimeline reward. To collect the reward, you have to call Crimeline first before you call 911.
“You have to initiate a tip with Crimeline at 1-800-423-TIPS,” explained Detective Barb Bergin, Crimeline. “We don’t have enough money to pay rewards to everyone who calls 911.”
Bergin encourages people to call 911 if there is an emergency, but Crimeline calls are answered 24 hours a day.
“As calls come in, if it’s something that needs an emergency or needs law enforcement, we have people in place for that to happen immediately,” Bergin said.
Bounty hunter Leonard Padilla offered a $50,000 reward for Caylee’s body, but pulled the money when people complained searchers were tearing up their yards looking for remains.
“I don’t want to get sued,” Padilla said.
Still, Padilla plans thinks the meter reader deserves some kind of reward and he plans to write him a check if the remains belong to Caylee.
“It’s going to be a figure between five and ten grand involved easily,” he said. “Nobody looks at bags out here in these palmettos, they just walk by it. This guy had the foresight to go over and do it.”
Crimeline detectives told Eyewitness News they never make exceptions. You have to call the tip line first if you want to be eligible for a reward. While they have received complaints from people who called 911 first and then tried to collect the money, they always stick to their policy.
Crimeline has achieved a lot fighting crime in Central Florida. During the last year, Crimeline tips have generated 1,100 arrests and solved 1,200 cases.
Crimeline gave out $340,000 in rewards. That money comes from a trust fund in the Attorney General’s Office.

While I can understand them wanting to hold on to the hope that Caylee is alive, their behavior - in light of all the damaging truths that have come out during this investigation is incredible. I wonder why Casey chose to make up the story of how she met the fake nanny when it was easily disproved? That poor guy at her former job…and all the others dragged into this convoluted mess. Did any of the released investigator’s tapes reveal questions to Casey as to why she said these things when they obviously were not true.

Back to the topic I really have a hard time sleeping since they found the remains. I just cannot imagine for the life of me looking into my sons eyes and having such ill thoughts like she had! I try to not even think what was going through Caylee’s mind when Casey was doing all of this.

I think LE understands that for people like casey, lying is a normal part of everyday conversation. (rather than the norm, when lying is something to avoid, to be ashamed of, etc).
C, G, and Casey have all shown this behavior. This was the realm in which they lived.
I think Casey was genuinely surprised that LE didn’t believe her lies, even in the face of the truth. Casey assumed since her Mom always did, so would LE.
This situation was, imo, her very first wake up call to “reality.” That’s another reason so many are frustrated w/ the Ants. They helped create the situation.

Hi, I’m “Bored Ass Housewife”, although that’s really just a nickname Sean gave me. He knows I’m not a bored ass housewife, by any means, but loves the story behind it, so I let it stick. Sean and I got to be friends through TDBS, and we talk pretty frequently.
As all of you know, Sean’s going through some rough times right now with his health. He’s a pretty tough cookie, but the treatments he is going to have to face in the next few months would be difficult for the most hardened of us.
A few years ago, I lost my beloved older brother to a form of cancer that had taken my father 14 years previously. Watching each of them go through radiation treatments, surgeries and chemo was devastating. Knowing there wasn’t much I could do for them was the most helpless feeling in the world, and I don’t do “helpless” well.
Sometime over the last week, Sean’s laptop went ass up on him, never to be revived again. With all the mounting medical bills, he can’t afford to replace it right now. Without his laptop in the hospital, he won’t be able to keep this website going. He has plans to document his cancer treatment while he is in the hospital and desperately needs the laptop to do so.
Edgar Watson Howe once said “When a friend is in trouble, don’t annoy him by asking if there is anything you can do. Think up something appropriate and do it.” So, instead of annoying the shit out of Sean, I decided I’d try to pull everyone together to help.
I talked to Sean, and he prefers that I use my PayPal account for this and keep the records. I will be happy to let anyone review them at anytime during the process. PayPal charges a small percentage of every transaction to “cover their costs”, and of course, make a buck. I am going to personally cover those PayPal fees so that Sean gets every penny you decide to send to him. I will also make an additional personal donation to the cause.

I am Sean Krause. I want to be able to continue the site and continue to beat cancer. The problem is without a laptop, it’s impossible to be able to do such. I want to do a documentary everyday so people understand the effects of what cancer does to you.
As a result of being confined to a bed, this is my plea. I am in need of a new laptop to continue the Casey Anthony story and other stories out there. If not, TDBS will be forced to shut down and I don’t want to do that. Ad revenue is important, at the same time, medical bills continue to climb and the money made off this site has gone to cover those expenses.
If there are any readers who passionately care about this site and can help, please let me know. I need a miracle to beat cancer but I need a miracle to continue the work done here.
If TDBS is forced to close, Cindy Anthony wins and I lose, along with the rest of you. It’s websites like this that continue to bring the truth and Cindy doesn’t like that, especially when the focus isn’t positive.

Duct tape can easily be torn off with your hands, no scissors required. I use duck tape all the time. I donot remember scissors but i do remember a dinner knife in the car. That also would cut duct tape.
I am still puzzled with duct tape all around the skull. If she would have used it on a live Caylee and planning to take it off later but had accidental death, you would have a devil of a time to get it off the hair.

I would expect that tissue was still present.
The duct tape would stick to that and as it decomposed would continue to stick to tissue and slip off the actual bone along with the tissue.
In order for her to successfully duct tape her mouth/head she would have to duct tape hands as well as well as feet. She would have done this while she was still alive whether using chemicals or not, in fear the chemicals wouldn’t be enough to kill her. I hope that makes sense.

I heard/read on various sources that duct tape was circled all around the skull. Frankly if only on mouth area, it would have fallen off during the decomposition process IMO.

I was 19,21,23 when I had all 3 of my kids. I have a 10 yr old daughter,12 yr old son, 14 yr old son. My 14 yr old was raised by the kids’ father’s aunt due to problems with the father and I was gullable at the time. But have always had my other 2 kids with me. My kids are my world. My son is deaf and ADHD,OCD,ODD,Chromosome translocation displacement,Autistic traits,Eczema, daughter is ADHD. Son I don’t have is ADD. My hands have been full, BUT! I would never trade it for the world. Caylee as far as we know was as normal as could be. This little girl NEVER had a chance and it kills my heart that a mother could do this. I am not an attorney, but I always thought a warrant listed a property address and gave the police the right to search all of it, and it might list specific items of interest the police believe to be on the scene, but the true purpose of the warrant is to allow search and seizure based upon strong investigation leads and evidence which point to the guilt of the named party.

i have 6 grandchildren 3 live her in mn 3 live in co 2 older kids i 12 yr old lives with me my g/son here is adhd can be a handfull at times but hes one of the sweetest boys i know the 2 boys stayed sat night with me he is 6 he calls gma can i come up and stay with you? i can never say no but i love to hear them laugh the youngest will be 3 in may he has speech prob hes starting to talk better now will still need some therapy i couldnt immagine something happening to them, if things got bad with my daughter shed call and ask me to take them she knows i would in a heartbeat

Spacely I would like to ask that you keep the jokes to yourself and not in here. I find them slightly distasteful and disgraceful. Caylee missing and all the facts in the case is not something that should be joked about in that manner.

Here’s another odd thing, why would someone that is too lazy to work, steals from her family, even grandparents…not pursue child support from the daddy? Certainly not because he would get visitation, cause that would have given her somewhere to dump the child while she partied. If the daddy was really killed in a car wreck, where is the life insurance, perhaps a benefit included in his car insurance policy…etc.? A simple DNA test would have likely made Caylee the beneficiary, with of course “guess who” in charge of the money. (Yikes, that’s a scary thought!) and as I mentioned before, WHO was providing Caylee with health insurance? If the state of FL was, wouldn’t they go right after the daddy for reimbursement or at least whatever he was able to pay according to his income???
Has anyone mentioned if M was getting state aid for Caylee?
And if he had SS earnings, Caylee AND M would have been entitled to some serious benefits, until Caylee turned 16, with Caylee getting benefits until age 18.
There is WAY more to this case than meets the eye!
Yep, that whole key thing plus other stuff from the those tapes of the jail communications of M with the rest with the Ants. Just strange.
They all talk to M in a surrealistic appeasing way. Like they are afraid to get M mad. Like you talk to somebody that is intoxicated or a 6/7 year old.
Not at all when you are frantic to locate a beloved family member. More like they(Ants) are resigned to the current status quo. Very weird

I also thought that bb and the defense team were really disrespectful in asking for an emergency hearing to do a second autopy when the bodily remains are not even formally identified yet.
If the remains are Caylee’s (and I think they are), it seems that bb and the defense team can not even wait until “the dust settles” over this find. Imo, I think they are scrambling like mad to plug any and all holes with some sort of story.
If the remains are not Caylee’s, I can only imagine what it would feel like to whomever those parents are. Imo, bb and crew need to be reminded that the bodily remains deserve all the respect and dignity that can be offered. They can wait for the formal announcement … it’s not as if the remains and all the other things LE took from the scene are going anywhere. LE will ensure that the information and bodily remains are kept safe.

That whole defense team of which many are not paid by M I suspect, are not nice big hearted philanthropists.
They are in it for the big payoff in fame, fortune and media exposure. Most will be collected after the trial. They will continue to do things to keep this case in the media. Motions or whatever, no matter how asinine. Anything to continue in keeping this case in the media.
But one day it will end..the Caylee train will have its final stop as soon as all the media and lawyers and movie makers are done with Caylee just like the anthonys…
Or the key is to frame Amy…cus what if Amy was going to move in and live there along with c and killr….and it was all cool with c that Amy was movng in..so she was referrng to Amy havng a key..and then the whole Puerto Rico thing was going to unravil..

Snookers - You hit the old preverbial (sp) nail on the head, the defense team and bb sure are not warm and cuddly. Since these reamins have been found, they are trying to get a wedge in anywhere they can in hopes of being able to run with it at trial and get M a lesser sentence or off by reason of insanity or a not guilty.
Those sharks have come in from the deep end and are just in the shallows now checking out every little thing they can to get M off. They are a sad sight to behold! I dealt with their ilk when I was working and some of the stuff I saw pulled was disgusting. I am sure they have all sorts of irons in the fire that none of us know about yet. They will all be paraded out at the trial.
Pickles, sadly I think you are right. There are these groups of folks who are in it for themselves, including the family, while Caylee was sitting in that swamp all alone.

Snookers…HI! I was in no way meaning that the “daddy question” excuses a darn thing that has happened to Caylee…it is just very odd how this family has answered the “who’s the daddy” questions. VERY ODD. The Ants make the Adams family look normal.
I was not saying I believe ANYTHING from these Ants, don’t worry, I don’t buy the whole Zanny thing OR the key thing, but just thought C did a really bad “acting job” when M said she gave Zanny a key….figures that C was not reacting normally to the key comment, since she knows darn well there IS NO Zanny. Seems like a “pre arranged” conversation to set up the case against Zanny.
Does anyone know if they immediately changed their door locks? Wouldn’t you if you REALLY thought a deranged kidnapper had your house key?
Not only that, but the Ants would have called the media to film the entire lock changing episode “OMG, we are changing our locks, we are so AFRAID!!” to really make it look good.

I am glad to see that the state and the FBI is going all out to get a conviction and vindicate Caylee. I read now that they will be at the location where Caylee was found till the end of the week.
Caylee’s murder investigation is getting as much attention as a murdered famous person like a president.
I suspect that the “dreamteam” irked the FBI and they are ready now to show all their expertise which is an awful lot.
There will be justice for Caylee.

Oh, great point. I hadn’t considered the key thing in that way. If there was a Zanni and a key given to her, most people would change their locks given the circumstances. And, if they did change them, like you said, I am sure the Ants would have made a big production of it.

I know exactly what you meant.
I am just elated that the Feds(FBI forensics) are heavily involved in this case. They are the best. Better than the “for hire” forensic experts because the FBI are a team of experts. Defense pack are individuals who will try to steal the limelight from each other.
I felt just as good when the Feds got involved in the Michael Vick case.
M will go down, absolutely, definitely.

The dream team (ha Not!) will have to struggle with trying to get a diagnosis as if I remember right, M had been seen by a shrink when she first came into jail and the report said she had no mental illness. Love to see how they wiggle around trying to absorb that.

The only thing she is, imo, is a sociopath and that is not considered a mental illness. It comes under the definition of personality disorders, if I remember the latest DSM right.
In all those photos Casey sure did not look like she had ppd. I don’t believe she has bipolar either. I worked with clients that had all the above and M is more like the sociopaths that I had to deal with.

This whole “no visiting” thing has me baffled. I realize the visits are recorded and keep being released to the media. But, Cindy keeps insisting that Casey is innocent, the “mother of the year”, etc..etc.. ad nauseam. So, my question is.. if Cindy really supports her daughter as she keeps saying, why wouldn’t she want to SEE her, face to face (on cam of course) and SEE for herself how her “innocent” daughter is coping with the news that her own daughter might be dead?
Supposedly, Casey had an anxiety attack when she heard of the remains finding. Well, who wouldn’t believe that? Here she has sat for six months, like the bird who swallowed the canary. She knows her lies aren’t believed, so she just shut down any communication with law enforcement. Did she think that everyone would forget about her daughter if time crept by and nature took care of all evidence? I would love to know what is inside her head.
So, NOW, when it should be a family kumbaya moment, the mother and father and brother don’t even go to see the grieving medicated young mother. Boo Hoo.
I’m sure they are passing notes via Baez and haven’t cut off all communication. BUT, Ms Cindy.. stop saying how much you support your daughter when you won’t even go see her. Liar.
I truly want to feel sorry for these grandparents and uncle, but they make it impossible. I can’t imagine the anguish of losing a granddaughter to murder. But, something tells me I would handle it much differently than they have.
Someone please tell Cindy and George that they can still love their daughter, but be heartbroken and disgusted with what she has done. Parental love is supposed to be unconditional, I believe that. But, when do you make the decision to love that child, but be disgusted at her reprehensible actions? Please, Anthony parents, PLEASE.. see what your daughter has become and let her pay the price. I am having the same issues as both of you when I see photos of Caylee now. Since the discovery of the remains I find that when I look at Caylee, it makes me feel ill in the pit of my stomach.
It’s that shock factor that gets me. I am still struggling with trying to get my head around the details of how she has been found and I am sure there will be more details as difficult to come. No matter how she died at M’s hand, I don’t think that Caylee would have had a peaceful death and her being alone to face that just breaks my heart.

Yeah Pickles, it is gut-wrenching and I have never even met Caylee. I can just imagine what the other family members are feeling …. people like Caylee’s greatgrandmother and greatgrandfather, uncles, aunts, neices. All those people. It has to be so tough for them. How could anyone resist that lovely little girl. ;(
I always think about how come she just culdnt succomb to Caylees love….just accept it and do the right thing for her…its a tradgedy and we need education and recourses for these young adults who are havng childrn they need to make it available in the welfare offices the free clinics the wic office..planned parenthood..they need to evaluate young adults who have childrn who show signs of being at risk for violence against ther small child due to lack of education on how to deal with the responsibilities of raising a small child…
If C & G are “normal” parents, yes, I do believe they still love their daughter regardless what atrocious things she has done.
That is why there should be no DP for M or any criminal charges against C & G. They already received more punishment than the average person could handle.
I’ve been thinking that when this is all over - the trial I mean - I am going to go out to a beautiful spot in the wilderness that I know of and light a candle and say a prayer of peace and hope for Caylee.
If I lived in Florida or even close to Florida, I would go to any memorial service that was held for her but I can’t because I live in British Columbia but I think my prayer for her will be seen and heard by God and the Universe.

Snookers, I’m an animal lover too. Showed, bred and raised registered Oriental Shorthair cats and Siamese cats for a number of years. I stopped in 2005 so now have just my spayed and neutered old breeding stock left - about 20. They live inside with us plus 4 dogs and some fish in a tank.

Snookers, you cannot obstruct an investigation. You cannot, for example provide a hair brush that Caylee and Casey used, when you are asked to provide Caylee’s hairbrush. That is obstruction of justice.

I don’t want to hear how these grandparents received more punishment than they deserve. NO ONE deserves having their grandchild murdered at 3 years old. And no one has said they deserve this punishment.
BUT.. they have constantly turned their backs on this beautiful child to stupidly support their murdering daughter.
They know their daughter is who she is, they knew the character of Casey. Didn’t they question her about where she was, where she worked? Didn’t they ask why she had no money or WHO the hell the Nanny is? Good grief, they lived together, didn’t they ever ask WHO IS THE NANNY.. GIVE US THE PHONE NUMBER FOR EMERGENCY?
NO, they don’t “deserve” their grandchild to be dead, nor do they deserve their daughter to be in jail, but they helped these two events happen by ignoring who Casey had become.
What they DO deserve is our anger and astonishment at how they have handled this horror from day ONE. Even giving them the benefit of the doubt since they are most assuredly dumb people. But, they have had many offers of help and understanding and have dismissed each one.
So, at this point, whatever happens to these people, I believe they DO deserve.
