Maybe he was hoping he could do it through controversy of the album title if not through the music itself lol. On a serious note, I think the new album is brilliant. Better than any of the garbage that's been coming out over the past 5 or 6 years. I've never been a die hard GNR fan or anything, but I can't stop listening to this album. I think most of the people who don't like it are people who were expecting it to sound like old GNR. When I first heard it, I was prepared for a let down, but to my surprise, I liked it much better than the Use Your Illusion albums, but I'll admit it's not destined to be the classic that Appetite for Destruction is.
