A couple from Texas have filed an asbestos related lawsuit against sixty five defendant companies in Jefferson County District Court. The lawsuit, filed by Rodney and Beatrice LeJeune, claims that Rodney was wrongfully inflicted with the asbestos related cancer, mesothelioma.

Rodney is said to have worked as a truck driver and general labourer according to the lawsuit. The suit accuses the defendant companies of negligence because they failed to warn Rodney of the dangers of asbestos exposure and failed to protect him against this exposure.

The lawsuit goes on to claim that the victim has suffered immense physical and mental pain, has lost the ability to work and earn money, and has suffered significant medical expenses, which are set to continue. His wife claims that she has also lost the quality of life she had with her husband as a result of his disease.

The couple is claiming unspecified damages as part of the lawsuit, which was filed last week in the court. Asbestos is a substance that can cause a range of health problems, including respiratory problems, scarring of the lungs, and cancer.
