An electrician has filed an asbestos related lawsuit against thirteen defendant companies, claiming that he has been diagnosed with the asbestos related cancer mesothelioma, and that this cancer was wrongfully caused because of negligence on the part of the defendant companies.

Bruno Dobler was diagnosed with the asbestos related cancer in October of last year according to reports, and he has filed his lawsuit in Madison County District Court. Between 1959 and 2000 Dobler worked at various locations as an engineer, electrician, and owner and manager of an electric motor repair business

In his lawsuit he states that the defendant companies should have foreseen the exposure to asbestos, and should have taken evasive action to protect people from this exposure. He claims that he has suffered, and continues to suffer, great physical pain and mental anguish, and that he is having to find large sums of money to pay for his treatment and care.

The two count lawsuit seeks compensation and damages in excess of one hundred thousand dollars in total. He is also seeking punitive damages as part of the lawsuit. The lawsuit goes on to state that he has been unable to pursue his normal course of employment.
