Still she could always resign and run for the seat herself, but I speculate she wouldn't do that. I do not foresee the governor as the presumptive nominee for the Repubs in 2012. I do think we are looking most likely at a Bobby Jindal. He was wise to sit this one out and take care of things at home. I am not saying that Ms. Palin won't become a strong voice in the Republican party, because I do see her becoming something of a Howard Dean-like figure to the party. Someone who is fiercely partisan, even to the detriment of their own public persona.
