I must have something missing in me.
I just can't seem to comprehend what it is that Obama is doing that impresses people so much. I have heard the man speak endlessly now for the last year. Not once have I ever heard anything more than a well-versed, well-educated man read a well-written speech. He uses the telepromter and does it well. Is it his Harvard Law training? Or did Jeremiah Wright provide some kind of tutelage in how to move a crowd with words? I don't know, but it just seems to go right over my head.
Beyond that, I do wish the President-elect the best and I sincerely hope that economy rights itself before he and his Dem cronies put their grimey paws all over it.

Carissa,
We have missed you and your objective view of this election and the constant of hope versus fear.
While your husband fights in Iraq, you fight at home for those that are returning from that those faraway lands that our brave Warriors are toiling in for their country, right or wrong.
It's not a matter of good or bad, just or unjust, not in the Warriors mind, but a matter of pride, duty and service to their country.
Last night brought me to tears as I watched history in the making, to see a man stand before us and epitomize the ideals of change hope, and a bright future for our children’s, children’s, children.
It was also important to me that he was a man of color, a man that has seen through his and his ancestors eyes the struggle of all disenfranchised people regardless of race, creed, gender or country of origin stand up and say, "Yes We Can."
I am so proud at this moment in time to be an American, a citizen and a Veteran that served as so many before, currently and will for the rights of all to achieve any goal and overcome any obstacle before them.
God Bless America.
Thanx...
