After all the money that stopped coming in due to the child-rape scandals, why, God help us, why would they give money to ACORN? ARE THEY JUST THICK!! How on earth could anyone reconcile themselves with continuing to drop money into the basket on Sundays. From now on, I am going to put a note: -- the same note every week into my envelope and drop it in the basket: "Because the Church has voilated my trust yet again -- this time by donating over $7.3 million to ACORN (which by the way agressively supports pro-abortion candidates), I can no longer trust contributing to the Church, as this is the last straw -- I am very heart-broken by this decision and hope that the Catholic Church can figure out a REAL way to rectify this with its parishioners/faithful and generous contributors." Something like that.

How has it come to be that the Catholic Church is so willing to fund these groups that are so counter to our basic philosophy as Catholics? Has the Catholic Church run amuck?! Every facet of our church has been infiltrated by liberial policy. How do we take back our church and our faith from these frauds?

Very interesting - and sad. It is so, so sad. We have deep-seated corruption in our government, corporations, major churches, and even non-profit organizations.

And so few people willing to honestly do anything about it. This all so sad.

Splendid advance of this sad but not surprising story Miss Reyes. We fear you are correct betting on "number two" as it appears Catholic "sympathy" for the ACORN-ilk runs very deep. We invite you to read our analysis of similar: http://www.bloggernews.net/118242.

Cheers,
