I have a website called Bad Breeders which most people think is about dogs but it isn’t. It’s about various parenting travesties that have made their way to the media in one way or another.
Back when the story first broke I was covering incessantly about the disappearance of Caylee Anthony and the shenanigans of her mother Casey Anthony and grandmother Cindy Anthony. However when psychics and bounty hunters and the Nancy Graces of the world started getting involved it became way too much of a circus for me and I started a self-imposed embargo on Casey Anthony stories.
That was until I saw this article from CNN. It echoes what a lot of people have been saying that they can’t convict Casey Anthony without a body. Personally I disagree. While it is a gamble it’s not impossible and more common that you think.
Off the top of my head I can name two cases where people were convicted without a body. The first is Tom Capano. He was a high profile attorney from Delaware who was having an affair wit the then Governor’s secretary. He killed her and dumped her body of the Jersey Shore. The body of Ann Marie Fahey was never found. The second one that comes to recent memory was that of Hans Resier the famous computer file type designer who stood accused of killing his wife.. All of his supporters claimed that you can’t convict without the body of his wife Nina. After he was convicted he led police to his wife’s body.
There’s another case from New Orleans that I couldn’t find a whole lot of information about but it sticks out in my memory. It that case. Ted Genter bragged that he killed a woman known only as Lydia that nobody could even prove existed. Genter was also convicted without a body after his cohort, William Morehouse, confessed. The victim turned out to be one Caryn Beth Capps.
I think the Caylee Anthony disappearance fits very well next to those other cases. The only thing that will free Casey Anthony is if Caylee shows up alive and well. I think the odds of that happening are slim and none and slim just left.

Caylee Anthony’s grandparents, Cindy & George, insist that Caylee is alive & that they keep getting “tips” that she is alive & is possibly in Peurto Rico…..where are these “tip’s” coming from and why do they think she may be in Peurto Rico? It seems that no one has questioned their reasons for thinking this…I wish someone would question their reasoning other than me.
No one has questioned their reasoning because Cayless is not alive. Cindy and George keep this nonsence up as to not have to admit their daughter killed their grandaughter. If this was your grandaughter and you had a tip she was in Puerto Rico, would you be on the news daily or on a plane? I think this question is answered!

i dont see how hair in m’s trunk with a death ring on it means anything else but a dead body, and i cant immaging it could be anyone elses ( to coincidental) as for pr i would think le has allready checked on that flight list and prob asked passengers and flight personell if anyone saw her, i would think if caylee was on any flight someone would have rembered by now, im not for the death penalty, but with m’s actions after caylee went missing i hope she gets life, it just blows me away how a mother could have so little feeling for her child, even if the kidnapping story was true, you would still have to have some emotion for your missing child, thats what is so sad there was no mention or no emotion, how do you just cary on with your life as if nothing is wrong if your child has truly been kidnapped?

I agree Amma with the hair. My understanding is that the hair couln’t absolutely say it was Caylee’s because it only included DNA Mitrocondrial (SP) That is why they tested all of the ants. MIto dna is maternal side. SO they take all know relatives on mother side of family. If you rule out everyone with the same dna in family except Caylee, then my exclusion it could only be hers.

Don’t worry, Barbara! We’re all questioning the Ants’ reasons for insisting that Caylee is in Puerto Rico. Mostly we’ve concluded that it’s (1) because they are desperately hoping Caylee is alive somewhere and also desperately trying to get their daughter off the hook for murdr (2) Remember M (short for Monster =Casey)
said that the non-existant nanny was half-Puerto Rican (3) Supposedly C got tips concerning PR but who knows if she did or if they were fakes encouraged by her talking about PR and (4) C told the police that she thinks (without any reason whatsoever to think so) that Amy took Caylee. And remember Amy went to PR on her vacation (ANYTHING to throw the blame off M!) But also remember Amy went to PR on July 8 and I’m sure the police have thoroughly investigated that flight and trip.

Exactly. That 7/8 date of leaving for Puerto Rico makes this whole Caylee sightings in Puerto Rico so ridiculous considering Caylee had not been seen since 6/16.
Hey, All! Did you hear that the prosecution dropped the child neglect charge? This is from myfoxorlando.com this morning:
“ORLANDO, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35, Orlando) — Orange County officials will not pursue child neglect charges against the mother of a missing Florida girl because she is already charged with first-degree murder.
The child neglect charges were based on the assumption that Caylee Anthony was still alive, according a court media release. Casey Anthony has also been charged with aggravated manslaughter and four counts of lying to investigators.
Lawson Lamar, the State Attorney prosecuting the case, declined further comment. Officials said in the release that they don’t wish to feed a media frenzy that would lead to a change of venue.”
I don’t pretend to know how these things work (i.e. the charges above) but this makes sense I guess. First, she’s going to stay in jail all the way thru the trial for murder and that trial will include evidence of neglect - like not reporting the disappearance at the very least. Second, she will no doubt be convicted and get time for the fraud possibly even before the murder trial. and Third, she will no doubt be convicted and get time for the four counts of lying to investigators.

C did not goof up by saying she hadn’t seen the child in 31 days but M sure did because it solidifies the 6/16 date as the last date for everyone.

I have been wrapped up with this CA case from day one. I was thinking if Caylee’s father died wouldn’t Caylee have been getting social security. Anytime I thought a parent dies and a minor child is living they are able to draw their social security. Also since there is so many twisted lies about who the father is I think they should look into the brother. He is staying out of the light somewhat. I think there is a good possibility that he could be the father as warped as it sounds. What does anyone else think. The whole situation surrounding the stories of the father of Caylee are as puzzling as anything else. Where is the rest of the family if thats true. Casey would have been right down there signing her child up for SS benefits from Caylee’s daddy if it were true. Of course it would have been to spend more money on herself. Any comments?

Yes. There has been a lot of speculation on this blog about Caylee’s father. We considered LV (stands for brother Lee who we dubbed Lee Vick because he kicked over the water dish of a quiet protester’s dog) And we even considered G. Who knows?
With regard to the two young men who are dead (Jesus name came up and then a guy named Eric Baker supposedly an old school chum) we figure IF either of those are the dad then the Ants did not acknowledge them at the time as the dad - no name on birth cert. And the Ants have done everything to keep the father’s identity a secret (if they even know who it is. The way M slept around she may not even know). And we are sure that Controlling Cindy would never want another family to have any say over little Caylee. Can you imagine her agreeing to share her little granddaughter with some other family? Nope. They don’t want the other family identified or they don’t even know who it is. And it’s possible that M never knew that the child would be eligible for Soc Sec even if the dad had been one of the guys who died. Seems to me the whole family thought it was more important to keep it a secret or unknown.

pretty soon he realizes he is hearing little “beep” sounds with intervals. He gets up to check and finally, after practically ransacking the place, opens his closet door where he sees a phone receiver on the floor. When he picks it up a voice says “The time in Tokyo is now…..beep”

NG keeping the chloroform theory out there –
I don’t think the chloroform killed her that Monday. I think M left for Tony’s (left her with Zenaida between 9 & 1—Tony’s school hours) she left at 12:50–would have got to Tony’s about the time Tony would be arriving home. Think she killed her in a fit of rage and put her in the trunk. Then sat on the stairs (”I sat on the stairs waiting for Zenaida to come back”) at the apt until Tony got there.

Catherine: The best way for Lemon to try to place doubt on the evidence in the car is to say that LV drove it again the night of July 15th or while cops were with M on the 16th and HE hit the squirrels. Then of course C washed everything IN it and probably spilled chloroform in the process unless G did that while he was cleaning it. So you see it’s all C, G and LV’s fault!!!
Oh and the “other dead body” that was in the trunk is the woman G ALMOST got to leave C for a few years ago. So you see C is guilty!

A squirrel does not decompose like a body–not even like a pig. A squirrell has a coat of fur and most of the squirrell is tiny like any other rodent. The decomp process is over in 24 hours and the smell gone. In fact, the squirrell just dries up. I doesn’t bloat with body fluids and then seep.
CFC, Yes BB does do things in a sorta backward sorta way.
If I remember correctly, M. told Amy she finally got rid of the dead squirrel smell in her car on June 27th, and now it’s back again on July 16th.

Actually, the fact that M was planting a “decomp” story that early on speaks to pre-meditation the same way her chloroform searches do. Like she was planning it several weeks in advance and wanted an alibi for why her car might suddenly start smelling.

difference in the posts are they attacked and provoked arguements… you are just expressing an opinion. not the same thing. Jan and Simon also write tough articles that are not always popular, they know we each have a right to an opinion. For the record I think they are usually right on with what alot of us think.

Dear Heavenly Father we come to you tonight, first to ask forgiveness from those of us who are letting all the evil in the world make us doubt real Justice. I for one have truly struggled when I see all these Children caught up in the bad acts of parents: Caylee, Cole, the kids whose mom dissappeared after a fire and Person of interest is their own dad, Drew Peterson, Scot Peterson,… Could go on forever. I come and ask forgiveness because I do know you ARE IN CONTROL and I know you will bring Caylee home. I pray for all my fellow bloggers, all the families of missing children, the poor frightened children who are in their worst nightmares, Law Enforcement who face this kind of evil everyday, The brave souls who search for the missing even knowing they might find something they will never forget. Give us all the strength to hold onto the only true thing we can believe in. YOU! Father, we also pray for the courage to not only stay the course for Justice for Caylee, but that we use this horrible reminder to see EVIL for what ii is and work in our own communities to see that it stops and that there may never ever be another ” Caylee Marie Anthony”. It makes me sick that bozo is trying to get evidence thrown out from the trunk….if caylee is alive like he says…why would he care what was in the trunk…it would not be her decomposing body…so why not be building a defence instead of simply trying to throw stuff out…TOTALLY CONTRADICING TO WHAT THEY BELIEVE AND WHAT THEY ARE DOING.
The one exception to the “free ones are not good ones” is that Lemon is really good and much more experienced than the others. His record is bad because his clients had so much evidence against them the issue wasn’t really guilt or innocence it was death penalty vs life in jail.
So with the mess in this case - all the difficulties and unknowns (at least so far)- he might have better luck. (UGH! Pray not!)
And with his legal/trial experience and two lackeys to do the xeroxing (Jose 1 and Jose 2) he can guide the defense all the way thru the trial. For example, I’m sure he’s responsible for trying to get the car thrown out as evidence.

Some forensic test results in the Casey Anthony case could be released by the state this morning. These results could include tests that were done at the body farm in Tennessee. Sources have said air samples taken from the trunk of Anthony’s car showed that the trunk once held a decomposing body.
Earlier this month, Orange Circuit Court Judge Stan Strickland ordered the state to turn over reports dealing with evidence found in the trunk, including traces of chloroform, hair stands and air samples.
A family is as sick as it’s secrets—Anthonys seem to have lots of secrets.
Sweet little Caylee deserves justice! It makes my stomach turn hearing the Anthony family & Baez say she is alive, & then they don’t crap to go find her. Why is it that thousands of other people go out everyday searching for this child & her own family dosen’t do anything but complain about poor Casey & her frickin rights! The Anthony’s have some nerve pointing their finger at the police, media, & searchers when these are the people trying to find Caylee. RIP Caylee Marie…
Had to chuckle at a headline I just read. The headline read : Baez says, ‘evidence weak at best’ against his client”. If he is referring to the odor in the trunk, this is the most truthful thing Baez has said since the circus began!
After Cindy washed the pants & shoes found in the car. The Anthony’s opened the windows/doors to “air” out the car, as Lee’s statement to investigators pointed out. Plus, for at least 3 weeks, Casey had time to try to clean up/deodorize the trunk.Then Casey’s stealing her Father’s gas cans masked/weakened the odor too.
So, Baez was correct, instead of the strong odor that knocked anyone who came in contact with the car in July, the evidence was indeed, “weak”, due to the “tampering” of the evidence by the Anthony’s.
I’d like to ask Bozo a question. Can you explain this concerning your “weak” statement?
I have been driving cars since 1976, I’d like to make the following statements very clear!
I have had to use the trunk of my car many times over the previously mentioned 32 years.
-In any trunk of a car I owned, I have NEVER found any hair of my live daughters/siblings/myself, let alone one from a dead daughter(Caylee’s).
- I have never been in possession of much less, spilled homemade chlorform in my trunk.
-There has never been a body fluid stain of a decomposing corpse OF ANY KIND in my trunk/house/or a past life…anywhere!
With addition of a lawyer who’s success rate in his previous capital murder trials is, “life in prison” for his client’s. I’d say the defense team is “weak” not the evidence! This case looks better and better for the State everyday!

Dear Heavenly Father we again come to you in prayer about our Beautiful Caylee Marie Anthony. AS each of us struggles to come to grips with what has happened we ask you for Guidance, support and encouragement. Please help us to be strong as each day we wait wanting to know our little Angel has been found and will be laid to rest with all of the diginity, grace and honor that she deserves. Help as we struggle to control our tempers as we watch the people around this case seem to be deceptive and not looking out for Caylee. Give us the wisdom to see beyond rumor, speculation and guesses. Help us to each look at the facts and know that Caylee wants justice and we need to demand it for her. Also help the searchers who are going to look for Caylee to be smart and strong. Smart enough to see the signs and preserve the evidence and strong enough to stay the course and find Caylee. We know this will be no easy task and we want you to guide and comfort each one as they work. There is no greater task than to search for the body of a lost innocent child and the pain to these searchers will be great. Even while we triumph when Caylee is found the tears and pain will be unbearable. Lord we also ask that you help everyone who is struggling with this missing person case or any other. We have all come to know the pain of not knowing. Help us to keep the most innocent among us safe and give us the courage to stand and fight not just for Caylee but for all children. I want to thank you for the chance to join as a group in the common goal we each have and also for your encouragement as we each stand ready to be on the Caylee Marie Anthony Justice Team. Cindy created the Casey Monster and Little Catlee had to pay the price.
I have absolutely no sympathy for Cindy Anthony. She deserves all the pain she’s enduring and will endure.
I do have sympathy for George. He and Caylee, both, suffer for what Cindy and Casey have done.
It will only be justice for Little Caylee, for Casey to be given the death penalty. Cindy will pay for her part just knowing she could have stopped Casey years ago. She always upheld Casey, Just like she is doing today.
Like Casey, Cindy is one sorry excuse for a Mother.
I hope and pray that Little Casey will be found and put to rest
