George and Cindy Anthony held another prayer vigil Sunday night for their missing granddaughter, Caylee Anthony. They say that more than 100 people showed up this time to pray for little Caylee. Caylee has been missing since mid-June and wasn’t reported until 31 days later. Her mother, Casey Anthony is in jail held without bond, charged with murdering her little 2 year old daughter but the Anthony’s insist that their granddaughter is still alive.
George seems to be having a problem finding a place to park his billboard on wheels they are calling the information center. They did have it in a Publix parking lot near his neighborhood but he said that Publix’s corporate office drove him out. He is going to move it now to a Wal-Mart near Goldenrod and Hoffner.
It seems that Jose Baez is another one on this case for the defense that can’t seem to stay away from the media. The same media that he and everyone else on their team claim are to blame for all that has gone wrong in this case against his client, Casey Anthony. He appeared on the Geraldo Rivera Show and told the world that people will see Casey’s innocent when they tell her side of things.
“Once we are able to show her version of the facts I think the entire world will sit back and say, ‘Now I understand” said Baez on Geraldo At Large..
I am sorry but I just can’t see me saying that. To begin with what makes this man think that anyone would believe one word this woman says now? What are they going to tell us? That someone killed Caylee in front of Casey and threatened to kill her and her family if she told?
Or are they going to say that drug dealers kidnapped Caylee to send her a message not to mess with them, perhaps she stole money from them just like Clemons Tinnemeyer allegedly did when they kidnapped little Cole? If she uses this she could say that they have been living in fear for her family’s life ever since and that is why they didn’t talk.
I think she would be pushing her luck here with a story such as that but my point is anything she says will not be taken serious now. He mentions “her version”. That’s a laugh and trust me I don’t mean a laugh as in a joking manor other that they really must think the public is stupid if they think any so called “version” of what comes out of Casey Anthony’s mouth can be taken as fact. She has given us several “versions” already of what happened to little Caylee and when it wasn’t bought by the public she changed it to something else that she hoped would sell.
I still don’t understand how come they have to wait to tell her “version”. Is someone holding something over her head making her scared? Yeah RIGHT! They need to take lessons from the kidnapping of little Cole Puffinburger. Now that was scary being kidnapped at gunpoint by drug dealers looking for money that the child’s grandfather owed. We are not talking about a few grand either. They were talking about millions of dollars. Even though it was scary, the police were still called and fortunately having the word out nationwide right away that child was found within 4 days alive and doing extremely well.
There is no excuse good enough for Casey not to have called the police for 31 days to report Caylee missing. And even if she does have a legitimate excuse, she should have never been dancing on poles in a nightclub, or shopping at target for beer, lingerie and huge sunglasses looking like she was planning on some serious partying instead of out looking for her daughter. I suppose Baez is going to ask us to believe that this was Casey’s way of covering up her true feelings for everyone because she was too scared to tell anyone what happened. I am sorry but that is strictly a load of pure BS.
IF they have anything to say that can prove Casey Anthony as innocent why waste taxpayer’s money by bringing this case to court to tell us then? Why not just spit it out now and get it over with. I am sure if they have anything that could keep her out of jail they would have used it by now, because after all that seems to be the only time this woman can show any kind of emotion with tears.
I wonder if Jose Baez watches himself when he goes on TV and tells America stupid statements such as that. I have little respect for a man that goes on national TV and tries to tell America that this client has been suffering and once they tell us why we will understand.
I hope when Casey Anthony is found guilty that Jose Baez will be eating his words. I for one am looking forward to that. How dare they put off telling Casey’s “version” if it could honestly explain what happened to Caylee? Even if she is alive, after all this time she could have been found and with family again.
I pray to God that Caylee is found soon. This needs to end, not only for Caylee and her family but for all of America that cares for her. May God be with you Caylee, we love you honey!

I believe Caylee is safe in the arms of our heavenly Father. She is out of this mess and probably better off than being subjected to being raised in this kind of mental illness.
In my opinion everything I seen come out of Jose Baez has made me lose respect for this man. Time after time the comments he makes, make me wonder where he get his degree from. Seems like Casey has him wrapped around her fingers. If anything happened to one of my kids as a concerned father I would be out there looking for them all over the place. My daughter does not come home on time, five minutes later I am calling her cell and if she don’t answer I am out there looking for her. I would go insane if she went missing for a day, same if it happened to my son. I think any normal parent would react this way. My kids are my life I would totally lose it if I lost them. This woman deserves whatever she gets, and Jose Baez needs to wake up from the dream world he is living in. Even if in the end we find out by any chance this little girl is still alive, her mother does not deserve to have her, because she has not shown any remorse at all.

Jan - good points as usual. This family has had unprecendented access to the media in searaching for this child and when their own behavior creates backlash in public opinion, they are the first to lash out in anger and blame others for problems they have created with their words and attitudes.
I’ll never forget the tone of voice and words used by Casey on that first phone call to her mother when she was in jail. She was furious and blamed her mother for putting her there when it was her own actions of lying, stealing and withholding information. During that conversation she exhibited utterly no concern for her child but frustration regarding her own convenience and comfort. She was in a rage because Cindy refused to accept the “version” she had given her of reality.
Since then Cindy has mirrored the same reaction to others when they find it hard to accept her narrow version of reality. She behaves as if she is entitled to the benefit of the doubt for her insistence that Casey’s ridiculous stories are true and is vitriolic if anyone finds them hard to swallow. She is only willing to accept help if it meets her limited, implausible vision of events or outcome and scorns anyone who is pursuing more reasonable leads.
What neither Mommy Dearest I or II seem to realize is that their spoiled, obnoxious, self-serving attitudes are directly responsible for the public belief that they ultimately much less interested in finding that baby than they are being pampered and indulged by the general public.

I still think C and G lawyered up because they feared their tampering with evidence could be seen as accessories. I also think that has something to do with why they are admamant that Caylee is alive. If they had truly believed the kidnapping story from day one, Cindy would not have made that hysterical 911 call about smelling death in the car and have taken such care to clean the trunk or search through their backyard or refuse to hand over credit card and phone records. They have to publicly proclaim they believe their daughter is innocent and to continue the charade to look for sightings of a live, kidnapped Caylee because their refusal to cooperate with LE and anyone who is looking for that child’s remains nearby would expose their actions since day one for what they were - covering up evidence of a homicide.
Casey was a parasite, living off of others. She had no high-school education, no job, no goals, no direction. But, to hear her story, she worked at Universal Studios and was attending college. A sociopath always views his or her problems as stemming from flaws in others, rather than taking responsibility for his or her own issues and the havoc they have created.

CAt, it is illegal in Mo to leave you child in the car event to run into your hose. You can not leave your car running unattended in your driveway even and can not have a child in a car if there is not an adult.

You know I was feeling sorry for G. but I have changed my mind. He testified in front of the GJ that he smelled the odor from M.’s car and didn’t like the smell. He knew what the smell was. He is C’s puppet handing out the flyers, doing interviews “that he thinks Caylee is still alive”, and having the prayer vigils. It is knowing that Caylee is dead that is eating G. up.
Maybe because of Caylee people are paying more attention. IF those people wouldn’t have noticed that little one, and the child survived it would never have been reported. But people are paying attention now.

Any person who has a legitimate sighting tip of a missing child would call LE—-not the parent.
If C has 3,000 tips (or even 500) does she think she is so special that LE can drop every other case they have, and not answer the 911 for every daily call they get, just to follow up on a Caylee look-alike in 50 states and several countries?
LE has followed the legitimate tips they have gotten. If they took down the Caylee tip line, it doesn’t mean they shut down their regular phones. It just means they can’t have a tip line for every single case they are working on.
Neither C nor G is working. They should use some ga money from the Find Caylee Fund and go search for Caylee following their own personal home tips.

Under it, the second thing is “Caylee Anthony Updates.” Click on that and it goes to a page devoted to Caylee with a photo of her and a phone number to call and an email address to write.

My daughter is like some of Mamabear’s kids. She gets frustrated sometimes with the children and says “Do you want me to call your Nana?” They don’t.
I let someone tell me their version and then say “so if I call so-and-so, they will back up this story?” or “so if I drive to such-and such I will see such-and-such there where you left it?”
I took all 3 grandchildren (ages 6, 8, 10)to the jail once. They were being disobedient all day long, getting smartmouth, defying me–I had had it. I said “Get in the car–all of you–get your butts in the car NOW!” Drove to the jail and walked them inside. They didn’t utter a peep. I walked in and said “I need to have an officer get some things about disobedience and disregard for authority drilled into the heads of these three grandchildren.”
They got me an officer. He took them back to the cells and locked them up one at a time. Left them each in the cell exactly one minute. It was a steel door cell with a tiny window at the top. You could hear a pin drop.
When each child had his/her turn in the cell, the officer said “that was one minute. If you don’t learn how to obey your Nana then you won’t learn how to obey me. And when I come for you, it will be days, weeks, maybe years in this cell instead of one minute. You need to obey her because God said so, she says so, and I say so. My job is like your Nana’s–to protect you and keep you safe — and your job is to obey so that we can do that.”

I believe she will say that she put Caylee on the underground railroad that hides children that could be targets of sexual abuse.
I think she will say that Caylee was in danger of such abuse from either some of C’s own unsavory aquaintences or George Anthony.

But I can see them hiding M and Caylee from M trying to get custody. The problem I have with this is that I just don’t think the underground would hide a toddler without also hiding the mother or father.
However my only frame of reference is GA’s underground for children of parents fighting for custody. So I may be off-base here.

Great blog writing and I agree whole heartedly with the entire thing. I have been drawn to this case since day 1, and while I did have sympathy for Casey Anthony for a day or so, it quickly evaporated. Like Jan states, who in their right mind would believe anything Casey says now. Unless Baez thinks he can fill the jury with people who are not aware of “Miss Lies Alot”, noone can believe her. She is guilty of murdering her child, either by accident or premeditated. She deserves nothing less than life in prison. I really think that Tues, Oct 14th was her last day of freedom for the rest of her life. She will never see the light of day again. May poor little Caylee rest in peace.

Hi snookers! I think the reason we don’t see BB on CNN anymore is because Nancy Grace put him in his place at the very beginning of this case. NG questioned him about getting immunity for his client and he boldly denied that he ever heard of anything like that or had anything to do with bargaining for immunity for M. Come to find out, he did and lied to NG about it.
The very next day, NG publicly revealed that he was not truthful in answering the question regarding the immunity deal. She basically made an ass of him in front of the nation and now I think he’s afraid to come on her show.
We all know that NG does not mince words. One has to be prepared for the tough questions she presents to her guests… evidently BB wasn’t prepared with truthful answers!

Cindy went thru the car. Hard to tell what she would have taken out prior to the car being confiscated by LE and not handed over to LE the next day She went into “protect M” almost immediately.

gumshoe - that is interesting about the stairs. she repeated that so much in her statements. but it does seem like an odd place for anything to have happened that was not simply accidental. apt stairwells are often visible and they tend to echo sounds if they are hidden or interior.
