You are blessed to have a flourishing career (?) and hopefully children that are without disabilites. I am the Mother of a 29 year old Autistic man and not on the high end of the disorder either. The pain and anguish that a parent feels is beyond words. Even with early intervention Robert functions at an extremely low level. Inattentive mothers ? Competitive fathers ? Try a mother who broke her ass working nights to keep up with her child's needs during the day and a father who hit the boulevard because he could not deal with a disabled child.
