An Amber Alert that was issued for 6 year old Cole Puffinburger has been canceled. When I first heard this news my heart sank thinking Oh My God, I pray he hasn’t been found dead. I then prayed that he had been found alive and well and the Amber Alert was no longer needed.

A press conference was held this afternoon explaining the reason the alert was called off but neither of my thoughts were the reason. The authorities apparently agree that The Amber Alert program did what it was suppose to do by getting the word out that little Cole is missing and it got his picture broadcast nationwide. Now that his face is known the search will be easier for the police I guess.

Cole’s grandfather, Clemons Fred Tinnemeyer has been arrested for questioning in the kidnapping. He has been named as a “person of interest” in the case. Police have now named another man as a “person of interest”, Jesus Gastelum as a result of the ongoing investigation. They believe that he is in Las Vegas or southern California.

Las Vegas police Capt. Vincent Cannito said that police have uncovered a large amount of cash through search warrants served within the past 24 hours in different areas. They are still looking in areas by Nellis Boulevard, Pecos Road, and Craig and Cheyenne Avenues hoping there might be information about where Cole is.

According to police their sources say that Tinnemeyer was an alleged money launderer for a Mexican drug cartel and he owed them $8 million to $20 million. They think this was an attempt to send a message to Tinnemeyer to “pay up.”

This little boy has touched my heart. I have two sons and Cole reminds me so much of my oldest when he was 6 years old. I can’t imagine how I would feel right now if someone had kidnapped either of my kids or one of my grandsons. I would not be a pleasant woman to be around. My prayers go out to Cole and his family. I am sure they are terrified for their son. My God be with you Cole.
