As it was, the War Memorial Arena accomodated 4,700, some 700 above the amount permitted by the fire marshal before he closed the place down. Hence, the crowd remaining on the street. BTW, about 10 Obama fans protested across the street wearing T-shirts and carrying signs with nasty commets about Palin.
