As everyone following this case of little Caylee Anthony that has been missing since mid-June knows, an Orange County Grand Jury is expected to look at evidence to decide if there is enough presented to them to charge Caylee’s mother, Casey Anthony for murder in the first degree for the death of Caylee.
Fox 35 plans to carry the court action and news conference live on the air and streaming it through MyFoxOrlando.com.
Jose Baez says he thinks the child is still alive but the prosecution feels they have enough evidence to bring in an indictment against Casey Anthony. Among the key people that is expected to testify before the grand jury includes Casey’s own father, George Anthony. He will be asked about his testimony on tape to investigators regarding the smell of death in the trunk of Casey’s car. “We got into a little verbal thing. She didn’t want me to go into that car,” said George when he was interviewed but investigators.
A statement was released by Jose Baez to the media when asked about Casey’s state of mind concerning the grand jury’s ruling. “Casey has been prepared for the worst, but has always been hoping for the best. Although she would be naturally nervous and very upset about going back into confinement, she is prepared and has been for that if it happens.”
Fox 35 has also learned that if Casey is charged with a homicide charge she just might be going to trial with a new lead counsel. The president of the Criminal Defense Attorney’s Association says that Baez might not be permitted to represent Casey if she is charged with first degree murder.
According to Richard Hornsby Baez doesn’t meet the standards set forth by attorney’s in capital cases. To be lead counsel you must:
* have had five years experience as an attorney
* Serve as co-counsel on two death penalty cases
*demonstrated proficiency and commitment which exemplify quality representation in capital cases
In the event that this does happen Baez would be allowed to still be a part of a legal team for Casey though. Baez’s spokesperson, Todd Black made this statement on Monday:
“It will not change the commitment of the Baez Law Firm and they are fully prepared if an indictment is handed down to represent Ms. Anthony to the fullest.”
How sweet of him not to leave her now!
Fox 35 reporter, Holly Bristow got to sit down with Cindy Anthony for an exclusive interview. She asked Cindy what was her plans while the grand jury met on Tuesday. Cindy’s response was, “I’m going to be where ever Casey is. I want to make sure that is she’s re-arrested, that I am able to give her one last hug, in case I can’t do that for a while.”
Cindy was asked if she ever had any doubts about her daughter’s innocence, she answered right away, “No!”
I guess that 911 call was faked then. She sure sounded to me like she was worried about what her daughter had done to her granddaughter when she said it smelled like a dead body was in the damn car. To mean that sounded like she had some doubt in her mind.
On CNN’s Nancy Grace tonight during the questioning of her expert witnesses someone stated that in their opinion the whole Anthony family could be charged with obstruction of justice and I agree 100%. I know the Anthony’s have suffered here and still are but let’s face it. Anyone else under normal circumstances in any other case would have been charged right away for obstruction of justice for the things they have done like changing their testimonies to authorities, and washing clothing found in the car that they all admitted smelled like there had been a dead body in the car not to mention the list of other things that the Anthony’s have done and got away with. Every time you turn around the Anthony’s change their stories.
I actually did feel sorry for the Anthony’s in the beginning but I think now that they will turn against you at the drop of a hat if you do not believe what they want you to believe. Poor Tim Miller said on the Nancy Grace Show that he heard that Cindy Anthony said that she never wants to speak to him again. Tim Miller is a good hearted man and doesn’t want to hurt anyone. When cornered he had to admit about the leak from one of his searchers about them finding the size 6 dress that possibly could be linked to Caylee. It was clear that he was not comfortable talking about it though. It has not been proven to be linked to Caylee though, so I guess we will have to wait to see what other evidence the prosecutors have that we don’t know about.
I doubt I will sleep much tonight. When I do sleep I dream about this case. I really need this to be over soon, so I can get my life back. I seem to eat, drink and sleep Caylee Anthony these days. I sure pray that she gets her justice soon. We love you Caylee, God Bless you sweetie.

If Cindy, George, and/or Lee have done anything to obstruct justice that precious Caylee deserves, then I hope they are charged and convicted.
If they have done anything to delay finding Caylee, such as intimidate sweet Tim Miller, then they deserve the public’s scorn and better get used to it. The public demands moral and legal justice.
I cannot understand why the Anthony family has not searched for Caylee. That precious child has no one on her side! There is no Father or paternal family to fight for Caylee.

I feel very sorry for the grandfather to Caylee. It must be absolutely horrible to be in that home right now. My heart goes out to both Cindy and George. I try and imagine what I would do and frakly, I’d have to tesify against my daughter. Nothing stakes up that is positive and not one time have we seen the mother, Casey, distraught in any way, shape or form. She’s pathetic and I hope true justice is served and in a timely manner. The inconsistent lies and stories are just unreal!
I watch NG every single night. Often nights are quite redundant but I keep watching hoping for some prompt action. I don’t understand what takes so long.
If I were George Anthony, I would run for my life. It is beyond belief that Cindy is sticking up for Casey after all of her lies to her family, her friends and the police. Why in the world would she start telling the truth now? I am beginning to see the acorn doesn’t fall far from the tree. about 3 tears ago my daughter and grandaughter (a year apart in age) didnt come home from the pool on time they were riding thier bikes, do you know the panic i felt i drove the way they should have been i called 911 in a panic as i was on the phone the pulled up on thier bikes the 911 operator told me to hug thoes girls before i yelled at them, of course i did a 1/2 hr missing and i was in a panic the first person i thought of was the police! not target or win dixie, big diffrence here, my girls had gone through a field and one of the bikes kept falling over they were dirty but ok, but still missing call 911 HELLO
Hello Anna, I will answer you. glad you want to join the conversation. As far as daycare goes this babysitter was a friend of a friend and lots of babysitters do that for cash under the table. There was no offical daycare to check with or records. For that matter they can’t even find the babysitter so who knows what other questions do you have some of us ar constantly chatting on the different pages of Simon or Jan and there is usually some one who has heard or read the answer if it is out there. But there are still alot of questions that we dont know the answers to.

in defense(as much as I can muster) C is in denial that Caylee is dead. As long as she can refuse to believe that it is easy to believe M lies. SHe can’t except that M did anything bad because she would have to face the fact that Caylee is never coming home again. Remember m is not a child she is an adult they don’t really have any say anyomre. I also think that M and BB are keeping C strung along buying there stories. It is truly a sad case and it breaks my heart.
Since Casey had no job, there could be no money for childcare. She just farmed the child out to friends when she could and they suspect the chloroform was used when she wanted to party.

The only thing that makes me hesitate about the escort service theory is she didn’t seem to have the money those girls make. She drove an old car, ran out of gas, stole money, and didn’t have her own place. Living at home seems an ultimate dependence on her parents.
That’s why I think you are right … she was planning what she intended to do for a living so she could keep up the facade of being a college student for her boyfriend. There was only one problem: Caylee.

Since first hearing of this case, I’d always thought that Caylee had probably been killed in a pool accident. Though I felt that Caylee had possibly died due to negligence on the part of her mom Casey, I never believed that her mom Casey could have intentionally killed her daughter.
A few weeks ago though, I read that police had found evidence (from Casey’s computer) of web searches of missing children’s websites (under Casey Anthony’s computer login ID) going back to March 2008 which was long before her daughter Caylee had gone missing.
This new evidence makes me wonder whether this was in fact an intentional crime, which is pretty awful thing to consider.
The problem that law enforcement has now is that without a body and a weapon it may be really hard to convict her. Irregardless though, it can be done I’ve heard.

depends on dress. if it were made to be short like a mini skirt, you buy it bigger so it goes below the knee. Who really knows for sure. Sometime info gets confused, I thought TIm said one of his searches found the dress. then David Lohr says it wasn’t Tim’s group so we just have to be patient.

I’ve heard so much about Casey- what we haven’t heard is where she’s really been for two years from 8-5 while G&C were at work. What do the pings say about that? All deposits to her bank account. Taxtime- G&C??? who claimed caylee? Income taxes- my mom and dad were all over me to get them done in a timely manner and by a qualified CPA when I lived at home and while in college. Disturbing how she inflated her commitments to her career to all while there wasn’t a job- racing deadlines and being overworked and starving for her vacation. Also, even a small size 6 would drop off of little Caylee. She should wear a 2 or 3 toddler. You can tell she is (sorry, was) a tiny little girl of not quite 2. I think the dress is a hoax.

keeping - Caylee was not quite 3…on August 9 she would have turned 3..my baby is almost 3, however a little chunkier then caylee..caylee seemed to be tall for her age therefor a dress in a six, if made small might not be all that abnormal.
I checked out a dress a bit small for my 2.5 year old…size 2
another summer dress size 3 would fit like a glove,
and one that would not “fall off her” but a bit big in a size 5
My point being a summer dress in a six, with her being a bit tall in my opinion…childrens clothing as grown ups, size wise is basically a guideline. One child can wear a couple of diff. sizes depending on the make.

I have a 2 year old nephew who wears a size 6. I hope and pray that the dress belongs to Caylee. Hopefully, it’ll mean that her precious remains are in the same area. I hope and pray that something of Caylee remains so that George Anthony can have some closure. George is the only Anthony family member that I truly have compassion for. Cindy and Lee should be arrested! I am still trying to understand why Lee would not voluntarily submit to DNA testing. Could the rumors of him fathering his niece be true? I’m a mother also, but I could never support one of my sons if they were involved in harming their children. I would be the first person to turn them in. I’m sorry! It’s interesting to note that in all the footage I’ve seen of M strutting to and from her attorney’s office in recent weeks she hasn’t looked upset at all! Perhaps if she has started to appear upset in the last couple of days it has more to do with the Grand Jury and thought of jail looming over her head.

I don’t understand anything this family does. I do think that Cindy is facing some real rough times ahead, esp. when the trial takes place and she has to hear the truth and not just what her daughter spoon feeds her. I can’t imagine being in her place. I can’t say that I would want to face reality if I were. Her ridiculous attempts to place blame anywhere but where it belongs reek of desperation and I question her stability. Hopefully she is still seeing her therapist.

casey, as far as I know has not been summoned to attend nor is she required to go but if she was she would NOT have to take the stand
I don’t know…if they indict and convict on murder or manslaughter..i would still think she should be held responsible for the fraud too…no matter how many years she gets for doing what she did to caylee…but i don’t know what they will do.

The thing I don’t get is all the different pieces of clothing here and there that they find in the woods.. How many people leave their clothes in the woods..especially clothing of little children…finding childrens clothes and backpacks in the woods is a big red flag no matter if they belong to caylee or another child..not like they are checking into lost and founs at daycares where you would expect to find childrens clothes!!!!

I don’t think it’s such a big deal that G is testifying before the GJ because - according to the info released so far and even according to big mouth C - he doesn’t have anything to say that is directly condemning. As C said “it’s circumstantial.” I wondered what C’s point of view was because I was wondering why G was still alive. Hi, I have been reading these posts for quite some time but have never commented until now. I was just curious if anyone has ever picked up on the fact that Lee stated in his police interview that his dad George had once worked for a car dealership and was very good at cleaning and detailing cars. He would always clean the family cars on the weekends. With his police background, do you think maybe he tried to use the chloroform in the trunk to rid the trunk of the decomposition smell?? It’s just something that has been on my mind for sometime now and I haven’t seen anyone else bring up this point… let me know what you guys think…

I think Cindy has been “cleaning up” behind Casey for years now and all it has gotten her is Casey’s contempt. And I think it probably infuriates George, who seems to have had it with these two.

I guess I was just considering that the choloroform may have been used by someone in the family to clean the car since they were all well aware of the terrible smell. Many ppl think Casey was using it to help Caylee sleep while she would go out and party… that’s still a valid possibility in my mind, but it is also known to have been used as a cleaning agent, although not a popular one.

Hey guys I have heard alot of conflicting reports about “the Dress’ From Tim Miller himself said the dress was in really good shape. If it had been in the weather for months would it not be faded? Could be explantion like it was buried in backpack and an animal dug it up or something. But it could also be a sick person trytin to get attention, or a person who is trying to see that M get punihed by planting a dress of one that was online. If the DNA can be found on the dress (not sure if weather could erase that) then we can get excited about that. I appreciated G’s statement. Seems like he intends to be truthful, and he knows what it means. his statment read more like I know I am giving damaging testimony for my beloved Grandaughter. Interesting that C spoke with media herself last night and Count wasn’t with her. Maybe the split between C & G is already happening.

After more than an hour with an Orange County grand jury, George Anthony has completed his testimony. Anthony appeared somber as he waited for the elevator to take hm back downstairs. All the while he held a plastic folder with his missing granddaughter Caylee Marie Anthony’s picture on the front.
“Mr. Anthony answered all the questions he was asked,” said his attorney Mark NeJame, “Beyond that we’re really not allowed to comment.”
We’ve also seen the canine handler whose cadaver dog “hit” on the back of Casey Anthony’s car and the Anthony’s back yard.
One court deputy said she believes there are about a half dozen witnesses to testify. It’s also believed that this is the only case the grand jury is hearing.
