Please consider posting this video and passing it along, it’s amazing. It’s great at showing the distinction between MaCain and Obama in regards to the abortion issue. Please pass this along to everyone you know. We have to get McCain elected… E

It makes me sick to think I gave up 6 years of my life in the Navy to defend a country that has voters that would seriously consider voting for someone that attended a racist church, was/is friends with a person responsible for bombings in the U.S. and associated with the New Party (a group of Socialists). If I had known that American citizens would be so gullible I would never have enlisted.

The "c" word like the "n" word will not be tolerated... your platform has lost my support and my vote and I will blog relentlessly on this point alone

Good judgement? Nope. Obama is clueless about foreign affairs. "decency"? like the Daily Kos and Andrew Sullivan? Humanity? Yup. Abortion up to birth and an hour afterward.

As for support by the "equity and justice groups" of priests and nuns: Bull. They are leftist in religion, and don't see people as human beings. A lot of them don't even support Catholic doctrine: They stay in the church to "change" the church structure to their political ideology.

The bad "fruit" of this politization is that the many schools and hospitals run by the Catholic church have disappeared, because they prefer "political action" type jobs, trendier than thou jobs, or supervising food banks etc. which any layperson could run for the same salary...and the nuns who simply try to help by keeping the traditional organizations alive are often hounded out of the orders, or leave in despair.

And I speak from 30 years of experience in coal towns, poor rural areas, and Indian reservations...

I'm afraid I don't understand your logic. You dislike Tina Brown (for being anti-Catholic) and Christopher Buckely (for being a Trust-Fund Child) and on that basis you plan not to vote for Obama?

What does that have to do with us Catholics or with this election?

I visited my home town of Pittsburgh last week and while there attended a "Catholics for Obama" meeting at Carlow University. I was heartened to meet many Catholics - priests, nuns and laypeople - who have dedicated their lives to social justice issues, who had a genuine dedication to working with working familes in western Pennsylvania who are constantly concerned about jobs, health care and opportunity to raise their families.

They are supporting Obama/Biden because they believe both men share their American values of equality and justice for working families. They have been in the trenches for decades - doing community work as it turns out - and they have seen how working families have been left behind during the Bush years.

I couldn't care less about Ms. Brown and any celebrity you care to name who are supporting either of the candidates. What's important to me is a steady, thoughtful leader who exercies good judgement, decency and humanity, and who has a vision for the future that will benefit my family and restore America to its greatness.

I don't mind if you vote for either candidate based on thoughtful criteria, but please, don't vote against someone just because he is supported by certain indviduals you don't like!

Let me get this straight she's a bigot for thinking Catholics are fruitcakes?

But Catholics are not fruitcakes for believing:
