LeapFrog Presents A Tad of Christmas Cheer

Starting October 7th, now available on DVD from PorchLight Home Entertainment comes a timely tale about frogs and how important family is.  A Tad Of Christmas Cheer is ready to leap out of your television screen and teach you a holiday lesson.

Tad is a four year old tadpole, but there’s a new baby in his family.  All the adults care about the baby and it feels like no one cares about Tad.  Yet Edison, his fairy god-bug, shows Tad what the holidays are all about and everyone learns a valuable lesson.

This is a charming and entertaining film about family and what the holidays are really all about.  Tad can teach us all an important lesson about not getting caught up in the I, but learning to love the We.  I recommend this for young children and for a lighthearted family film for those great holiday nights.

The Family Holiday

Starting October 7th, now available on DVD from PorchLight Home Entertainment comes a story about family and the warmth in the human heart.  The Family Holiday is ready to burst out of your television screen and con its way into your heart.

Donald Holiday, our favorite Uncle Joey, is a con man who loves to stir up trouble.  His uncle dies and leaves Don a fortune, but he has to become a family man to get it.  Instead of starting one, he rents one and finds what he’s been looking for all along.

This is a cute and heartwarming story about the longings we all have deep inside ourselves and the second chances we always get.  Of course, second chances are usually only in the movies, so enjoy them on screen in absence of them being in your life.  I recommend this film as it is compelling and an enjoyable story about family.

The Christmas That Almost Didn't Happen

Starting October 7th, now available on DVD from PorchLight Home Entertainment comes a stop-animation film about the younger brother of that most famous reindeer of all.  Holidaze – The Christmas That Almost Didn’t Happen is ready to burst out of your television screen and show you that there’s always hope and we all have a place to call our own.

Rusty is Rudolph’s little brother and has never been able to live up to him.  Rusty decides to leave and head for the city to find a place of his own.  This film features the voice talents of Fred Savage, Emily Osment, Brenda Song and Cole and Dylan Sprouse.

I love these stop-action animations.  They are so cheesy and yet so genuinely great, as though I am driven to both mock them and be deeply moved by them at the same time.  This one is not as deeply satisfying as the classic, but it stands up to be a fairly decent inheritor.  I recommend this for those who want a dumbed-down version of what you grew up with.

Bring home these three Treats for the whole family!
