		<description>Good article. I am not a fan of Mrs Palin for all the reasons you list (and others). But I must concede that she performed well in the debate. She was fluent in her delivery and seemed not to be fazed by the occasion. I don’t think that she is going to help McCain much vote-wise (surely anyone who has empathy with her views and opinions would be solid McCain anyway?). 

If, as I expect and fervently hope, it is Obama and Biden we will see in the White House next January then I have a sneaking feeling that Mrs Palin won’t fade away. She lacks experience and gravitas – but would an Obama administration see her as a talented resource who is wasted in Alaska and offer her a DC job? Stranger things have happened!</description>
